Lecture Arabic	27 وفي اللَّيْلَةِ الرَّابِعَةَ عَشْرَة، نَحْوَ مُنْتَصَفِ اللَّيْل ، والرِّيَاحُ تَحْمِلُنَا في بَحْـرِ أَدْرِيَا على غَيرِ هُدَى، أَحَسَّ البَحَّارَةُ أَنَّهُم يَقْتَرِبُونَ مِنَ البَرّ. 33 وكَانَ بُولُسُ يَحُثُّهُم جَمِيعًا، حتَّى طُلُوعِ النَّهَار، عَلى تَناوُلِ الطَّعَامِ قائِلاً: "هَا إِنَّ لَكُمُ اليَومَ أَرْبَعَةَ عَشَرَ يَومًا، وأَنتُم مُنْتَظِرُون، تُواصِلُونَ الصَّومَ ولا تتَنَاولُونَ شَيْئًا! 34 فَأَسْأَلُكُم أَنْ تتَنَاوَلُوا طَعَامًا، لأَنَّ ذ,لِكَ يَؤُولُ بِكُم إِلى الـخَلاَص. ولَنْ تَهْلِكَ شَعْرَةٌ مِنْ رأْسِ أَيِّ واحِدٍ مِنْكُم". 35 ولَمَّا قَالَ هـذَا، أَخَذَ خُبْزًا، وشَكَرَ اللهَ أَمَامَ الـجَمِيع، وكَسَر، وابْتَدَأَ يَأْكُل. 36 فتَشَجَّعُوا كُلُّهُم، وتَنَاوَلُوا هُم أَيْضًا طَعَامًا. 37 وكُنَّا جَمِيعًا في السَّفينَةِ مِئَتَيْنِ وَسِتًّا وسَبْعِينَ نَفْسًا. 39 ولَمَّا طَلَعَ النَّهَار، لَمْ يَسْتَطِعِ البَحَّارَةُ أَن يُمَيِّزُوا أَيَّ أَرْضٍ هِيَ، بَلْ تَبَيَّنُوا خَلِيجًا لَهُ شَاطِئ، فعَزَمُوا أَنْ يَدْفَعُوا بِالسَّفينَةِ إِلَيْه، إِنِ اسْتَطَاعُوا. 40 فحَلُّوا الـمَرَاسي، وتَرَكُوهَا تَغْرَقُ في البَحْر، وأَرْخَوا الـحِبَالَ الَّتِي تَرْبِطُ الدَّفَّة، وَرَفَعُوا الشِّرَاعَ الصَّغيرَ لِلرِّيح، واتَّجَهُوا إِلى الشَّاطِئ. 41 ولـكِنَّهُم وَقَعُوا عَلى مَكانٍ رَمْلِيٍّ بَينَ مَاءَيْن، فَدَفَعُوا بِالسَّفينَةِ إِلَيْه، فَغُرِزَ مُقَدَّمُهَا في الـمَكَان، وبَقِيَ لا يَتَحَرَّك، أَمَّا مُؤَخَّرُهَا فتَفَكَّكَ مِنْ شِدَّةِ الـمَوْج. 42 وارْتَأَى الـجُنُودُ أَنْ يَقْتُلُوا الأَسْرَى، لِئَلاَّ يَسْبَحَ أَحَدٌ مِنْهُم فَيَهْرُب. 43 لـكِنَّ قَائِدَ الـمِئَةِ كَانَ يُريدُ أَنْ يُخَلِّصَ بُولُس، فمَنَعُهُم مِنْ قَصْدِهِم، وأَمَرَ القَادِرِينَ عَلى السِّبَاحَةِ أَنْ يتَقَدَّمُوا فَيُلْقُوا بِأَنْفُسِهِم في الـمَاء، ويَعْبُرُوا إِلى البَرّ. 44 أَمَّا البَاقُونَ فعَبَرُوا عَلى أَلْواحٍ خَشَبيَّة، أَو عَلى حُطَامِ السَّفينَة، وهـكَذَا وصَلُوا إِلى البَرِّ سَالِمِين.
Evangile Arabic	1 وفي ذـلِكَ الوَقْت، حَضَرَ أُنَاسٌ وَأَخْبَرُوهُ بِأَمْرِ الـجَليلِيِّين، الَّذينَ مَزَجَ بِيلاطُسُ دَمَهُم بِدَمِ ذَبَائِحِهِم. 2 فَأَجَابَ يَسُوعُ وَقَالَ لَهُم: "هَلْ تَظُنُّونَ أَنَّ هـؤُلاءِ الـجَلِيليِّينَ كَانُوا خَطَأَةً أَكْثَرَ مِنْ جَميعِ الـجَلِيليِّين، لأَنَّهُم نُكِبوا بِذـلِكَ؟ 3 أَقُولُ لَكُم: لا! وَلـكِنْ إِنْ لَمْ تَتُوبُوا تَهْلِكُوا جَمِيعُكُم مِثْلَهُم! 4 وَأُولـئِكَ الثَّمَانِيَةَ عَشَر، الَّذِينَ سَقَطَ عَلَيْهِمِ البُرْجُ في شِيلُوح، وَقَتَلَهُم، أَتَظُنُّونَ أَنَّهُم كَانُوا مُذْنِبِينَ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ جَمِيعِ السَّاكِنِينَ في أُورَشَلِيم؟ 5 أَقُولُ لَكُم: لا! ولـكِنْ إِنْ لَمْ تَتُوبُوا تَهْلِكُوا جَمِيعُكُم كَذـلِكَ!".

Lecture French	27 Or, la quatorzième nuit que nous dérivions sur la mer Adria, vers minuit, les matelots ont pressenti l’approche d’une terre. 33 En attendant que le jour se lève, Paul exhortait tout le monde à prendre de la nourriture : « Voilà aujourd’hui le quatorzième jour que vous restez dans l’expectative, sans manger ni rien prendre. 34 Je vous exhorte donc à prendre de la nourriture, car il y va de votre salut : aucun de vous ne perdra un cheveu de sa tête. » 35 Ayant dit cela, il a pris du pain, il a rendu grâce à Dieu devant tous, il l’a rompu, et il s’est mis à manger. 36 Alors tous, retrouvant confiance, ont eux aussi pris de la nourriture. 37 Nous étions en tout deux cent soixante-seize personnes sur le bateau. 39 Quand il fit jour, on ne reconnaissait pas la terre, mais on apercevait une baie avec une plage, vers laquelle on voulait, si possible, faire avancer le bateau. 40 Les matelots ont alors décroché les ancres pour les abandonner à la mer, ils ont détaché les câbles des gouvernails et hissé une voile au vent pour gagner la plage. 41 Mais ayant touché un banc de sable, ils ont fait échouer le navire. La proue, qui s’était enfoncée, restait immobile, tandis que la poupe se disloquait sous la violence des vagues. 42 Les soldats ont eu alors l’intention de tuer les prisonniers pour éviter que l’un d’eux s’enfuie à la nage. 43 Mais le centurion, voulant sauver Paul, les a empêchés de réaliser leur projet ; il a ordonné de gagner la terre : à ceux qui savaient nager, en se jetant à l’eau les premiers, 44 aux autres soit sur des planches, soit sur des débris du bateau. C’est ainsi que tous sont parvenus à terre sains et saufs.
Evangile French	01 À ce moment, des gens qui se trouvaient là rapportèrent à Jésus l’affaire des Galiléens que Pilate avait fait massacrer, mêlant leur sang à celui des sacrifices qu’ils offraient. 02 Jésus leur répondit : « Pensez-vous que ces Galiléens étaient de plus grands pécheurs que tous les autres Galiléens, pour avoir subi un tel sort ? 03 Eh bien, je vous dis : pas du tout ! Mais si vous ne vous convertissez pas, vous périrez tous de même. 04 Et ces dix-huit personnes tuées par la chute de la tour de Siloé, pensez-vous qu’elles étaient plus coupables que tous les autres habitants de Jérusalem ? 05 Eh bien, je vous dis : pas du tout ! Mais si vous ne vous convertissez pas, vous périrez tous de même. »

Lecture English	27 On the fourteenth night, as we were still being driven about on the Adriatic Sea, toward midnight the sailors began to suspect that they were nearing land. 33 Until the day began to dawn, Paul kept urging all to take some food. He said, “Today is the fourteenth day that you have been waiting, going hungry and eating nothing. 34 I urge you, therefore, to take some food; it will help you survive. Not a hair of the head of anyone of you will be lost.” 35 When he said this, he took bread,* gave thanks to God in front of them all, broke it, and began to eat.d 36 They were all encouraged, and took some food themselves. 37 In all, there were two hundred seventy-six of us on the ship. 39 When day came they did not recognize the land, but made out a bay with a beach. They planned to run the ship ashore on it, if they could. 40 So they cast off the anchors and abandoned them to the sea, and at the same time they unfastened the lines of the rudders, and hoisting the foresail into the wind, they made for the beach. 41 But they struck a sandbar and ran the ship aground. The bow was wedged in and could not be moved, but the stern began to break up under the pounding [of the waves]. 42 The soldiers planned to kill the prisoners so that none might swim away and escape, 43 but the centurion wanted to save Paul and so kept them from carrying out their plan. He ordered those who could swim to jump overboard first and get to the shore, 44 and then the rest, some on planks, others on debris from the ship. In this way, all reached shore safely.
Evangile English	1 At that time some people who were present there told him about the Galileans whose blood Pilate* had mingled with the blood of their sacrifices. 2 He said to them in reply, “Do you think that because these Galileans suffered in this way they were greater sinners than all other Galileans?a 3 By no means! But I tell you, if you do not repent,b you will all perish as they did! 4 Or those eighteen people who were killed when the tower at Siloam fell on them*—do you think they were more guilty than everyone else who lived in Jerusalem? 5 By no means! But I tell you, if you do not repent, you will all perish as they did!”
