Lecture Arabic	15 وبَعْدَ تِلْكَ الأَيَّام، تأَهَّبْنَا لِلسَّفَر، وصَعِدْنَا إِلى أُورَشَليم. 16 ورَافَقَنَا بَعْضُ التَّلامِيذِ مِنْ قَيْصَرِيَّة، وذَهَبُوا بِنَا إِلى مَنَاسُونَ القُبْرُسِيّ، أَحَدِ التَّلامِيذِ الأَوَائِل، فَنَزَلْنَا عِنْدَهُ ضُيُوفًا. 17 ولَدَى وصُولِنَا إِلى أُورَشَليم، اسْتَقْبَلَنَا الإِخْوَةُ بَفَرَح. 18 وفي الغَد، دَخَلَ بُولُسُ مَعَنَا إِلى يَعْقُوب، وحَضَرَ الكَهَنَةُ كُلُّهُم. 19 فسَلَّمَ بُولُسُ عَلَيْهِم، وأَخَذَ يَشْرَحُ لَهُم بِالتَّفْصِيلِ كُلَّ مَا فعَلَهُ اللهُ بَيْنَ الأُمَمِ بِواسِطَةِ خِدْمَتِهِ. 20 فلَمَّا سَمِعُوا، مَجَّدُوا اللهَ وقَالُوا لِبُولُس: "أَيُّها الأَخ، أَنْتَ تَرَى أَنَّ عَشَرَاتِ الآلافِ مِنَ اليَهُودِ قَدْ آمَنُوا، وكُلُّهُم ذَوُو غَيْرَةٍ عَلى الشَّريعَة. 21 وقَدْ أُخْبِرُوا أَنَّكَ تُعَلِّمُ جَمِيعَ اليَهُودِ الـمُنْتَشِرِينَ بَيْنَ الأُمَم، أَنْ يَرْتَدُّوا عَنْ مُوسَى، وتَقُولُ بأَلاَّ يَخْتُنُوا بَنِيهِم، ولا يَسْلُكُوا بِحَسَبِ التَّقَاليد. 22 فمَا العَمَلُ إِذًا؟ إِنَّهُم ولا بُدَّ سَيَسْمَعُونَ بِقُدُومِكَ. 23 فَاعْمَلْ بِمَا نَقُولُهُ لَكَ: عِنْدَنَا أَرْبَعَةُ رِجَالٍ عَلَيْهِم نَذْر. 24 فخُذْهُم، وتَطَهَّرْ مَعَهُم، وأَنْفِقْ عَلَيْهِم لِيَحْلُقُوا رُؤُوسَهُم، فيَعْلَمَ جَميعُ اليَهُودِ أَنَّ مَا أُخْبِرُوا بِهِ عَنْكَ بَاطِل، بَلْ إِنَّكَ تَسْلُكُ سُلُوكَهُم مُحَافِظًا عَلى الشَّريعَة. 25 أَمَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مِنَ الوَثَنِيِّينَ فأَرْسَلْنَا نَحْنُ إِلَيْهِم، وحَكَمْنَا أَنْ يَصُونُوا أَنْفُسَهُم مِنْ ذَبَائِحِ الأَصْنَام، والدَّم، ولَحْمِ الـحيَوَانِ الـمَخْنُوق، والفُجُور". 26 وفي اليَومِ التَّالي، أَخَذَ بُولُسُ الرِّجَالَ وتَطَهَّرَ مَعَهُم، وَدَخَلَ الـهَيْكَل، وأَعْلَنَ الـمَوعِدَ الَّذِي تَنْتَهي فيهِ أَيَّامُ التَّطْهير، لِيُقَرِّبَ القُرْبَانَ عَنْ كُلٍّ مِنْهُم.
Evangile Arabic	16 أَلوَيلُ لَكُم، أَيُّهَا القَادَةُ العُمْيَان! لأَنَّكُم تَقُولُون: مَنْ حَلَفَ بِالـمَقْدِس، فَلا قِيمَةَ لِحَلَفِهِ، أَمَّا مَنْ حَلَفَ بِذَهَبِ الـمَقْدِس، فَحَلَفُهُ مُلْزِم. 17 أَيُّهَا الـجُهَّالُ والعُمْيَان، مَا الأَعْظَم؟ الذَّهَبُ أَمِ الـمَقْدِسُ الَّذي يُقَدِّسُ الذَّهَب؟! 18 وتَقُولُون أَيضًا: مَنْ حَلَفَ بِالـمَذْبَح، فلا قِيمَةَ لِحَلَفِهِ، أَمَّا مَنْ حَلَفَ بِالتَّقْدِمَةِ الَّتي عَلَيه، فَحَلَفُهُ مُلْزِم. 19 أَيُّهَا العُمْيَان! مَا الأَعْظَم؟ التَّقْدِمَةُ أَمِ الـمَذْبَحُ الَّذي يُقَدِّسُ التَّقْدِمَة؟! 20 فَمَنْ حَلَفَ بِالـمَذْبَح، فَقَدْ حَلَفَ بِهِ وَبِكُلِّ مَا عَلَيْه. 21 ومَنْ حَلَفَ بِالـمَقْدِس، فَقَدْ حَلَفَ بِهِ وبِاللهِ السَّاكنِ فِيهِ. 22 ومَنْ حَلَفَ بِالسَّمَاء، فَقَدْ حَلَفَ بِعَرْشِ اللهِ وبِالـجَالِسِ عَلَيه.

Lecture French	15 À la fin du séjour, nos préparatifs étant achevés, nous sommes montés à Jérusalem. 16 Quelques disciples, venus avec nous de Césarée, nous conduisirent chez un certain Mnason de Chypre, un disciple des premiers jours, pour que nous y recevions l’hospitalité. 17 Les frères, à notre arrivée à Jérusalem, nous ont fait bon accueil. 18 Le lendemain, Paul s’est rendu avec nous chez Jacques, où sont arrivés tous les Anciens. 19 Après les avoir salués, il leur expliqua en détail ce que Dieu avait fait parmi les nations à travers son ministère. 20 L’ayant écouté, ils glorifiaient Dieu. Ils dirent à Paul : « Tu vois, frère, combien de dizaines de milliers de Juifs sont devenus croyants, et ils ont tous une ardeur jalouse pour la Loi. 21 Or ils ont entendu ce que l’on colporte à ton sujet : par ton enseignement, tu détournes de Moïse tous les Juifs des nations, en leur disant de ne pas circoncire leurs enfants et de ne pas suivre les coutumes. 22 Que faut-il donc faire ? De toute façon, ils apprendront ton arrivée. 23 Fais donc ce que nous allons te dire. Nous avons ici quatre hommes qui sont tenus par un vœu. 24 Prends-les avec toi, accomplis la purification en même temps qu’eux, et paie ce qu’il faut pour qu’ils se fassent raser la tête. Alors tout le monde saura qu’il n’y a rien de vrai dans ce que l’on colporte sur toi, mais que tu marches, toi aussi, en gardant la Loi. 25 Quant aux croyants venus des nations, nous leur avons écrit nos décisions : ils doivent se garder des viandes offertes en sacrifice aux idoles, du sang, de la viande non saignée, et de l’inconduite sexuelle. » 26 Alors, le lendemain, Paul prit ces hommes avec lui, accomplit la purification en même temps qu’eux, et il entra dans le Temple pour indiquer à quelle date, le temps de la purification étant achevé, l’offrande serait présentée pour chacun d’eux.
Evangile French	16 Malheureux êtes-vous, guides aveugles, vous qui dites : “Si l’on fait un serment par le Sanctuaire, il est nul ; mais si l’on fait un serment par l’or du Sanctuaire, on doit s’en acquitter.” 17 Insensés et aveugles ! Qu’est-ce qui est le plus important : l’or ? ou bien le Sanctuaire qui consacre cet or ? 18 Vous dites encore : “Si l’on fait un serment par l’autel, il est nul ; mais si l’on fait un serment par l’offrande posée sur l’autel, on doit s’en acquitter.” 19 Aveugles ! Qu’est-ce qui est le plus important : l’offrande ? ou bien l’autel qui consacre cette offrande ? 20 Celui donc qui fait un serment par l’autel fait un serment par l’autel et par tout ce qui est posé dessus ; 21 celui qui fait un serment par le Sanctuaire fait un serment par le Sanctuaire et par Celui qui l’habite ; 22 et celui qui fait un serment par le ciel fait un serment par le trône de Dieu et par Celui qui siège sur ce trône.

Lecture English	15 After these days we made preparations for our journey, then went up to Jerusalem. 16 Some of the disciples from Caesarea came along to lead us to the house of Mnason, a Cypriot, a disciple of long standing, with whom we were to stay. 17 * When we reached Jerusalem the brothers welcomed us warmly. 18 The next day, Paul accompanied us on a visit to James, and all the presbyters were present. 19 He greeted them, then proceeded to tell them in detail what God had accomplished among the Gentiles through his ministry. 20 They praised God when they heard it but said to him, “Brother, you see how many thousands of believers there are from among the Jews, and they are all zealous observers of the law. 21 They have been informed that you are teaching all the Jews who live among the Gentiles to abandon Moses and that you are telling them not to circumcise their children or to observe their customary practices. 22 What is to be done? They will surely hear that you have arrived. 23 * So do what we tell you. We have four men who have taken a vow.e 24 Take these men and purify yourself with them, and pay their expenses* that they may have their heads shaved. In this way everyone will know that there is nothing to the reports they have been given about you but that you yourself live in observance of the law. 25 f As for the Gentiles who have come to believe, we sent them our decision that they abstain from meat sacrificed to idols, from blood, from the meat of strangled animals, and from unlawful marriage.”* 26 So Paul took the men, and on the next day after purifying himself together with them entered the temple to give notice of the day when the purification would be completed and the offering made for each of them.g
Evangile English	16 * h “Woe to you, blind guides, who say, ‘If one swears by the temple, it means nothing, but if one swears by the gold of the temple, one is obligated.’ 17 Blind fools, which is greater, the gold, or the temple that made the gold sacred? 18 And you say, ‘If one swears by the altar, it means nothing, but if one swears by the gift on the altar, one is obligated.’ 19 You blind ones, which is greater, the gift, or the altar that makes the gift sacred? 20 i One who swears by the altar swears by it and all that is upon it; 21 one who swears by the temple swears by it and by him who dwells in it; 22 one who swears by heaven swears by the throne of God and by him who is seated on it.
