Lecture Arabic	1 مِنْ يَعْقُوب، عَبْدِ اللهِ والرَّبِّ يَسُوعَ الْمَسِيح، إِلى الأَسْباطِ الاثنَي عَشَرَ الَّذِينَ في الشَّتَات: سَلام! 2 يا إِخْوَتِي، حينَ تَقَعُونَ في مِحَنٍ مُتَنَوِّعَة، إِعْتَبِرُوا ذـلِكَ مِن دوَاعِي الفَرَحِ الكامِل. 3 واعْلَمُوا أَنَّ امْتِحَانَ إِيْمَانِكُم يُنْشِئُ الثَّبَات. 4 وَلْيَكُنِ الثَّباتُ حافِزًا لَكُم على العَمَلِ الكامِل، حتَّى تَكُونُوا كامِلِين، مُتَمَّمِين، غَيرَ نَاقِصِينَ في شَيء. 5 وإِنْ كانَ أَحَدٌ مِنْكُم تَنْقُصُهُ الـحِكْمَة، فَلْيَطْلُبْهَا منَ اللهِ الَّذي يُعْطِي الـجَمِيعَ بِسَخَاءٍ وبِغَيْرِ مِنَّة، فتُعْطَى لَهُ! 6 وَلْيَطْلُبْهَا بإِيْمَانٍ غَيرَ مُرْتَابٍ البَتَّة، لأَنَّ الـمُرْتَابَ يُشْبِهُ مَوْجَ البَحْرِ حِينَ تَضْرِبُهُ الرِّيحُ وتُهَيِّجُهُ. 7 فلا يَحْسَبَنَّ ذـلِكَ الإِنْسَانُ أَنَّهُ سَيَأْخُذُ مِنَ الرَّبِّ شَيْئًا. 8 إِنَّهُ إِنْسَانٌ ذُو نَفْسَيْنِ مُتَقَلِّبٌ في جَمِيعِ طُرُقِهِ.
Evangile Arabic	5 وقالَ الرُّسُلُ لِلرَّبّ: "زِدْنَا إِيْمَانًا!". 6 فقَالَ الرَّبّ: "لَوْ كانَ فِيكُم مِنَ الإِيْمَانِ مِقْدارُ حَبَّةِ خَرْدَل، لَكُنْتُم تَقُولُونَ لِهـذِهِ التُّوتَة: إِنْقَلِعِي، وانْغَرِسِي في البَحْر، فَتُطِيعُكُم! 7 وَمَنْ مِنْكُم لَهُ عَبْدٌ يَفْلَحُ الأَرْضَ أَوْ يَرْعَى القَطِيع، إِذا عَادَ مِنَ الـحَقْل، يَقُولُ لَهُ: أَسْرِعْ واجْلِسْ لِلطَّعَام؟ 8 أَلا يَقُولُ لَهُ بِالأَحْرَى: أَعِدَّ لي شَيْئًا لأَتَعَشَّى، وَشُدَّ وَسْطَكَ واخْدُمْني حَتَّى آكُلَ وَأَشْرَب، 9 وَبَعْدَ ذـلِكَ تَأْكُلُ أَنْتَ وَتَشْرَب. هَلْ عَلَيهِ أَنْ يَشْكُرَ العَبْدَ لأَنَّهُ فَعَلَ ما أُمِرَ بِهِ؟ 10 وَهـكذَا أَنْتُم إِذَا فَعَلْتُم كُلَّ ما أُمِرْتُمْ بِهِ فَقُولُوا: إِنَّنَا عَبِيدٌ لا نَفْعَ مِنَّا، فَقَد فَعَلْنا مَا كانَ يَجِبُ عَلَينا أَنْ نَفْعَل".

Lecture French	01 JACQUES, SERVITEUR DE DIEU et du Seigneur Jésus Christ, aux douze tribus de la Diaspora, salut ! 02 Considérez comme une joie extrême, mes frères, de buter sur toute sorte d’épreuves. 03 Vous le savez, une telle vérification de votre foi produit l’endurance, 04 et l’endurance doit s’accompagner d’une action parfaite, pour que vous soyez parfaits et intègres, sans que rien ne vous manque. 05 Mais si l’un de vous manque de sagesse, qu’il la demande à Dieu, lui qui donne à tous sans réserve et sans faire de reproches : elle lui sera donnée. 06 Mais qu’il demande avec foi, sans la moindre hésitation, car celui qui hésite ressemble aux vagues de la mer que le vent agite et soulève. 07 Qu’il ne s’imagine pas, cet homme-là, qu’il recevra du Seigneur quoi que ce soit, 08 s’il est partagé, instable dans toute sa conduite.
Evangile French	05 Les Apôtres dirent au Seigneur : « Augmente en nous la foi ! » 06 Le Seigneur répondit : « Si vous aviez de la foi, gros comme une graine de moutarde, vous auriez dit à l’arbre que voici : “Déracine-toi et va te planter dans la mer”, et il vous aurait obéi. 07 « Lequel d’entre vous, quand son serviteur aura labouré ou gardé les bêtes, lui dira à son retour des champs : “Viens vite prendre place à table” ? 08 Ne lui dira-t-il pas plutôt : “Prépare-moi à dîner, mets-toi en tenue pour me servir, le temps que je mange et boive. Ensuite tu mangeras et boiras à ton tour” ? 09 Va-t-il être reconnaissant envers ce serviteur d’avoir exécuté ses ordres ? 10 De même vous aussi, quand vous aurez exécuté tout ce qui vous a été ordonné, dites : “Nous sommes de simples serviteurs : nous n’avons fait que notre devoir.” »

Lecture English	1 * James, a slave of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes in the dispersion, greetings.a Perseverance in Trial. 2 b Consider it all joy, my brothers, when you encounter various trials,* 3 for you know that the testing* of your faith produces perseverance. 4 And let perseverance be perfect, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. 5 But if any of you lacks wisdom,* he should ask God who gives to all generously and ungrudgingly, and he will be given it.c 6 But he should ask in faith, not doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed about by the wind.d 7 For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord, 8 since he is a man of two minds, unstable in all his ways.
Evangile English	5 And the apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.” 6 The Lord replied, “If you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you would say to [this] mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.d Attitude of a Servant.* 7 “Who among you would say to your servant who has just come in from plowing or tending sheep in the field, ‘Come here immediately and take your place at table’? 8 Would he not rather say to him, ‘Prepare something for me to eat. Put on your apron and wait on me while I eat and drink. You may eat and drink when I am finished’? 9 Is he grateful to that servant because he did what was commanded? 10 So should it be with you. When you have done all you have been commanded, say, ‘We are unprofitable servants; we have done what we were obliged to do.’”
