Lecture Arabic	1 مِنَ الشَّيخِ الكَاهِنِ إِلى السَّيِّدَةِ الـمُخْتَارَةِ وأَوْلادِهَا الَّذِينَ أُحِبُّهُم في الـحَقّ، لا أَنَا وَحْدِي، بَلْ جَميعُ الَّذِينَ عَرَفُوا الـحَقّ، 2 لأَنَّ الـحَقَّ ثَابِتٌ فِينَا، ويَبقَى مَعَنَا إِلى الأَبَد: 3 لِتَكُنْ مَعَنَا النِّعْمَةُ والرَّحْمَةُ والسَّلامُ مِنْ لَدُنِ اللهِ الآبِ ويَسُوعَ الـمَسِيحِ ابْنِ الآب، في الـحَقِّ والـمَحَبَّة! 4 لقَد فَرِحْتُ جِدًّا لأَنِّي وَجَدْتُ بَعْضَ أَوْلادِكِ سَالِكِينَ في الـحَقّ، بِحَسَبِ الوَصِيَّةِ الَّتي تَسَلَّمْنَاهَا مِنَ الآب. 5 والآنَ أَسأَلُكِ، أَيَّتُهَا السَّيِّدَة، لا كَأَنِّي أَكْتُبُ إِلَيْكِ بوَصِيَّةٍ جَدِيدَة، بَلْ بِالوَصِيَّةِ الَّتي كَانَتْ لنَا مُنْذُ البَدْء، وهيَ أَنْ نُحِبَّ بَعضُنَا بَعضًا. 6 وهـذهِ هِيَ الـمَحَبَّة، أَنْ نَسْلُكَ بِحَسَبِ وَصَايَاه. وهـذِهِ هِيَ الوَصِيَّة، كَمَا سَمِعْتُم مُنْذُ البَدْء، أَنْ تَسْلُكُوا في الـمَحَبَّة. 7 فإِنَّ مُضَلِّلِينَ كَثِيرِينَ انْتَشَرُوا في العَالَم، وهُم لا يَعْتَرِفُونَ أَنَّ يَسُوعَ الـمَسِيحَ أَتى في الـجَسَد، هـذَا هُوَ الـمُضَلِّلُ والـمَسِيحُ الدَّجَّال. 8 إِنْتَبِهُوا لأَنْفُسِكُم لئَلاَّ تَخْسَرُوا مَا قَدْ عَمِلْتُم، بَلْ لِتَنَالُوا أَجْرًا كامِلاً. 9 كُلُّ مَنْ يتَعَدَّى تَعْلِيمَ الـمَسِيح، ولا يَثْبُتُ فيه، لا يَكُونُ اللهُ مَعَهُ. ومَنْ يَثْبُتُ في تَعْلِيمِ الـمَسِيح، يَكُونُ مَعَهُ الآبُ والابن. 10 إِذَا جَاءَكُم أَحَدٌ لا يَحْمِلُ هـذَا التَّعْلِيم، فلا تَقْبَلُوهُ في بُيُوتِكُم، ولا تُلْقُوا علَيهِ السَّلام. 11 فَمَنْ يُلْقِي عَلَيْهِ السَّلامَ يُشَارِكُهُ في أَعْمَالِهِ الشِرِّيرَة. 12 إِنَّ عِنْدِي أَشْيَاءَ كَثيرةً أَكْتُبُ بِهَا إِلَيْكُم، ولـكِنِّي لا أُرِيدُ أَنْ أَكْتُبَهَا بِحِبْرٍ ووَرَق، بَلْ أَرجُو أَنْ آتِيَ إِلَيْكُم، فَأُكَلِّمَكُم مُشَافَهَةً، لِيَكُونَ فَرَحُنَا كامِلاً. 13 يُسَلِّمُ عَليْكِ أَوْلادُ أُخْتِكِ الـمُخْتَارَة. آمين.
Evangile Arabic	13 لا يَقْدِرُ عَبْدٌ أَنْ يَعْبُدَ رَبَّين. فَإِمَّا يُبْغِضُ الوَاحِدَ وَيُحِبُّ الآخَر، أَو يُلازِمُ الوَاحِدَ وَيرْذُلُ الآخَر. لا تَقْدِرُون أَنْ تَعْبُدُوا اللهَ وَالـمَال". 14 وكَانَ الفَرِّيسِيُّون، وَهُمْ مُحِبُّونَ لِلْمَال، يَسْمَعُونَ هـذَا كُلَّهُ، وَيَتَهَكَّمُونَ عَلَيْه. 15 فَقَالَ لَهُم: "أَنْتُم تَتَظَاهَرُونَ بِالبِرِّ أَمَامَ النَّاس، ولـكِنَّ اللهَ يَعْرِفُ قُلُوبَكُم؛ لأَنَّ الرَّفِيعَ عِنْدَ النَّاسِ هُوَ رَجَاسَةٌ أَمَامَ الله. 16 دَامَتِ التَّوْرَاةُ وَالأَنْبِياءُ حَتَّى يُوحَنَّا. وَمِنْ ذـلِكَ الـحِينِ يُبَشَّرُ بِمَلَكُوتِ الله، وَكُلُّ إِنْسَانٍ يَغْصِبُ نَفْسَهُ لِيَدْخُلَهُ. 17 ولـكِنْ لأَ[سْهَلُ أَنْ تَزُولَ السَّمَاءُ وَالأَرْضُ مِنْ أَنْ تَسْقُطَ نُقْطَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ مِنَ التَّوْرَاة.

Lecture French	01 MOI, L’ANCIEN, à la Dame élue de Dieu, et à ses enfants, que j’aime en vérité – non pas moi seul, mais tous ceux qui connaissent la vérité –, 02 à cause de la vérité qui demeure en nous et qui sera avec nous pour toujours. 03 Avec nous seront la grâce, la miséricorde, la paix, de la part de Dieu le Père et de Jésus Christ, le Fils du Père, dans la vérité et dans l’amour. 04 J’ai eu beaucoup de joie à trouver plusieurs de tes enfants qui marchent dans la vérité selon le commandement que nous avons reçu du Père. 05 Et maintenant, Dame élue, je t’adresse une demande : aimons-nous les uns les autres. – Ce que je t’écris là n’est pas un commandement nouveau, nous l’avions depuis le commencement. 06 Or l’amour, c’est que nous marchions selon ses commandements. Tel est le commandement selon lequel vous devez marcher, comme, depuis le commencement, vous l’avez appris. 07 Beaucoup d’imposteurs se sont répandus dans le monde, ils refusent de proclamer que Jésus Christ est venu dans la chair ; celui qui agit ainsi est l’imposteur et l’anti-Christ. 08 Prenez garde à vous-mêmes, pour ne pas perdre le fruit de notre travail, mais pour recevoir intégralement votre salaire. 09 Quiconque va trop loin et ne se tient pas à l’enseignement du Christ, celui-là se sépare de Dieu. Mais celui qui se tient à cet enseignement, celui-là reste attaché au Père et au Fils. 10 Si quelqu’un vient chez vous sans apporter cet enseignement, ne le recevez pas dans votre maison et ne lui adressez pas votre salutation, 11 car celui qui le salue participe à ses œuvres mauvaises. 12 J’ai bien des choses à vous écrire ; je n’ai pas voulu le faire avec du papier et de l’encre, mais j’espère me rendre chez vous et vous parler de vive voix, pour que notre joie soit parfaite. 13 Les enfants de ta sœur, la communauté élue de Dieu, te saluent.
Evangile French	13 Aucun domestique ne peut servir deux maîtres : ou bien il haïra l’un et aimera l’autre, ou bien il s’attachera à l’un et méprisera l’autre. Vous ne pouvez pas servir à la fois Dieu et l’argent. » 14 Quand ils entendaient tout cela, les pharisiens, eux qui aimaient l’argent, tournaient Jésus en dérision. 15 Il leur dit alors : « Vous, vous êtes de ceux qui se font passer pour justes aux yeux des gens, mais Dieu connaît vos cœurs ; en effet, ce qui est prestigieux pour les gens est une chose abominable aux yeux de Dieu. 16 La Loi et les Prophètes vont jusqu’à Jean le Baptiste ; depuis lors, le royaume de Dieu est annoncé, et chacun met toute sa force pour y entrer. 17 Il est plus facile au ciel et à la terre de disparaître qu’à un seul petit trait de la Loi de tomber.

Lecture English	1 * a The Presbyter to the chosen Lady and to her children whom I love in truth—and not only I but also all who know the truth— 2 because of the truth that dwells in us and will be with us forever. 3 Grace, mercy, and peace* will be with us from God the Father and from Jesus Christ the Father’s Son in truth and love. 4 I rejoiced greatly to find some of your children* walking in the truth just as we were commanded by the Father.b 5 But now, Lady, I ask you, not as though I were writing a new commandment but the one we have had from the beginning: let us love one another.c 6 For this is love, that we walk according to his commandments;* this is the commandment, as you heard from the beginning, in which you should walk.d 7 e Many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh; such is the deceitful one and the antichrist.* 8 Look to yourselves that you* do not lose what we worked for but may receive a full recompense. 9 f Anyone who is so “progressive”* as not to remain in the teaching of the Christ does not have God; whoever remains in the teaching has the Father and the Son. 10 * If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him in your house or even greet him;g 11 for whoever greets him shares in his evil works. 12 * Although I have much to write to you, I do not intend to use paper and ink. Instead, I hope to visit you and to speak face to face so that our joy may be complete.h 13 The children of your chosen sister* send you greetings.
