Lecture Arabic	1 وأَنْتَ، يا ابْنِي، تَشَدَّدْ بِالنِّعْمَةِ الَّتي في الـمَسِيحِ يَسُوع. 2 ومَا سَمِعْتَهُ مِنِّي بِحُضُورِ شُهُودٍ كَثِيرِين، إِسْتَودِعْهُ أُنَاسًا أُمَنَاء، جَدِيرِينَ هُم أَيْضًا بِأَنْ يُعَلِّمُوا غَيْرَهُم. 3 شَارِكْنِي في احْتِمَالِ الـمَشَقَّاتِ كَجُنْدِيٍّ صَالِحٍ لِلمَسِيحِ يَسُوع. 4 ومَا مِنْ جُنْدِيٍّ يَنْهَمِكُ في الأُمُورِ الـمَعِيشِيَّة، إِذا أَرادَ أَنْ يُرْضِيَ مَنْ جَنَّدَهُ. 5 ومَنْ يُصَارِعُ لا يَنَالُ إِكْلِيلاً إِلاَّ إِذا صَارَعَ بِحَسَبِ الأُصُول. 6 والـحَارِثُ الَّذي يَتْعَبُ لَهُ الـحَقُّ بالنَّصِيبِ الأَوَّلِ مِنَ الثَّمَر. 7 تأَمَّلْ في مَا أَقُول: والرَّبُّ سَيُعْطِيكَ فَهْمًا في كُلِّ شَيْء! 8 تَذَكَّرْ يَسُوعَ الـمَسِيحَ الَّذي قَامَ مِنْ بَينِ الأَمْوَات، وهُوَ مِنْ نَسْلِ دَاوُد، بِحَسَبِ إِنْجِيلِي، 9 الَّذي فِيهِ أَحْتَمِلُ الـمَشَقَّاتِ حَتَّىالقُيُودَ كَمُجْرِم، لـكِنَّ كَلِمَةَ اللهِ لا تُقَيَّد. 10 لِذـلِكَ أَصْبِرُ على كُلِّ شَيْءٍ مِنْ أَجْلِ الـمُخْتَارِين، لِيَحْصَلُوا هُم أَيْضًا على الـخَلاصِ في الـمَسِيحِ يَسُوعَ مَعَ الـمَجْدِ الأَبَدِيّ.
Evangile Arabic	35 ودَنَا مِنْهُ يَعْقُوبُ وَيُوحَنَّا، ابْنَا زَبَدَى ، وقَالا لَهُ: "يَا مُعَلِّم، نُرِيدُ أَنْ تَصْنَعَ لَنَا كُلَّ ما نَسْأَلُكَ". 36 فقَالَ لَهُمَا: "مَاذَا تُرِيدَانِ أَنْ أَصْنَعَ لَكُمَا؟". 37 قالا لَهُ: "أَعْطِنَا أَنْ نَجْلِسَ في مَجْدِكَ، واحِدٌ عَن يَمِينِكَ، ووَاحِدٌ عَنْ يَسَارِكَ". 38 فقَالَ لَهُمَا يَسُوع: "إِنَّكُمَا لا تَعْلَمَانِ مَا تَطْلُبَان: هَلْ تَسْتَطِيعَانِ أَنْ تَشْرَبَا الكَأْسَ الَّتي أَشْرَبُها أَنَا؟ أَو أَنْ تَتَعَمَّدَا بِالـمَعْمُودِيَّةِ الَّتي أَتَعَمَّدُ بِهَا أَنَا؟". 39 قالا لَهُ: "نَسْتَطِيع". فَقَالَ لَهُمَا يَسُوع: "أَلْكَأْسُ الَّتي أَنَا أَشْرَبُها سَتَشْرَبَانِها، والـمَعْمُودِيَّةُ الَّتي أَنَا أَتَعَمَّدُ بِهَا ستَتَعَمَّدَانِ بِهَا. 40 أَمَّا الـجُلُوسُ عَنْ يَمِينِي أَوْ عَنْ يَسَارِي، فلَيْسَ لِي أَنْ أَمْنَحَهُ إِلاَّ لِلَّذينَ أُعِدَّ لَهُم". 41 ولَمَّا سَمِعَ العَشَرَةُ الآخَرُون، بَدَأُوا يَغْتَاظُونَ مِنْ يَعْقُوبَ وَيُوحَنَّا. 42 فدَعَاهُم يَسُوعُ إِلَيْهِ وقَالَ لَهُم: "تَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّ الَّذينَ يُعْتَبَرُونَ رُؤَسَاءَ الأُمَمِ يَسُودُونَهُم، وَعُظَمَاءَهُم يَتَسَلَّطُونَ عَلَيْهِم. 43 أَمَّا أَنْتُم فلَيْسَ الأَمْرُ بَيْنَكُم هـكَذا، بَلْ مَنْ أَرَادَ أَنْ يَكُونَ فِيكُم عَظِيمًا، فلْيَكُنْ لَكُم خَادِمًا. 44 ومَنْ أَرَادَ أَنْ يَكُونَ الأَوَّلَ بيْنَكُم، فَلْيَكُنْ عَبْدًا لِلْجَمِيع؛ 45 لأَنَّ ابْنَ الإِنْسَانِ أَيْضًا لَمْ يَأْتِ لِيُخْدَم، بَلْ لِيَخْدُم، ويَبْذُلَ نَفْسَهُ فِداءً عَنْ كَثِيرين".

Lecture French	01 Toi donc, mon enfant, trouve ta force dans la grâce qui est en Jésus Christ. 02 Ce que tu m’as entendu dire en présence de nombreux témoins, confie-le à des hommes dignes de foi qui seront capables de l’enseigner aux autres, à leur tour. 03 Prends ta part de souffrance comme un bon soldat du Christ Jésus. 04 Celui qui est dans l’armée ne s’embarrasse pas des affaires de la vie ordinaire, il cherche à satisfaire celui qui l’a enrôlé. 05 De même, dans une compétition sportive, on ne reçoit la couronne de laurier que si l’on a observé les règles de la compétition. 06 Le cultivateur qui se donne de la peine doit être le premier à recevoir une part de la récolte. 07 Réfléchis à ce que je dis, car le Seigneur te donnera de tout comprendre. 08 Souviens-toi de Jésus Christ, ressuscité d’entre les morts, le descendant de David : voilà mon évangile. 09 C’est pour lui que j’endure la souffrance, jusqu’à être enchaîné comme un malfaiteur. Mais on n’enchaîne pas la parole de Dieu ! 10 C’est pourquoi je supporte tout pour ceux que Dieu a choisis, afin qu’ils obtiennent, eux aussi, le salut qui est dans le Christ Jésus, avec la gloire éternelle.
Evangile French	35 Alors, Jacques et Jean, les fils de Zébédée, s’approchent de Jésus et lui disent : « Maître, ce que nous allons te demander, nous voudrions que tu le fasses pour nous. » 36 Il leur dit : « Que voulez-vous que je fasse pour vous ? » 37 Ils lui répondirent : « Donne-nous de siéger, l’un à ta droite et l’autre à ta gauche, dans ta gloire. » 38 Jésus leur dit : « Vous ne savez pas ce que vous demandez. Pouvez-vous boire la coupe que je vais boire, être baptisé du baptême dans lequel je vais être plongé ? » 39 Ils lui dirent : « Nous le pouvons. » Jésus leur dit : « La coupe que je vais boire, vous la boirez ; et vous serez baptisés du baptême dans lequel je vais être plongé. 40 Quant à siéger à ma droite ou à ma gauche, ce n’est pas à moi de l’accorder ; il y a ceux pour qui cela est préparé. » 41 Les dix autres, qui avaient entendu, se mirent à s’indigner contre Jacques et Jean. 42 Jésus les appela et leur dit : « Vous le savez : ceux que l’on regarde comme chefs des nations les commandent en maîtres ; les grands leur font sentir leur pouvoir. 43 Parmi vous, il ne doit pas en être ainsi. Celui qui veut devenir grand parmi vous sera votre serviteur. 44 Celui qui veut être parmi vous le premier sera l’esclave de tous : 45 car le Fils de l’homme n’est pas venu pour être servi, mais pour servir, et donner sa vie en rançon pour la multitude. »

Lecture English	1 * So you, my child, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. 2 And what you heard from me through many witnesses entrust to faithful people who will have the ability to teach others as well. 3 Bear your share of hardship along with me like a good soldier of Christ Jesus.a 4 To satisfy the one who recruited him, a soldier does not become entangled in the business affairs of life.b 5 Similarly, an athlete cannot receive the winner’s crown except by competing according to the rules.c 6 The hardworking farmer ought to have the first share of the crop.d 7 Reflect on what I am saying, for the Lord will give you understanding in everything.e 8 * Remember Jesus Christ, raised from the dead, a descendant of David: such is my gospel,f 9 for which I am suffering, even to the point of chains, like a criminal. But the word of God is not chained.g 10 Therefore, I bear with everything for the sake of those who are chosen, so that they too may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus, together with eternal glory.h
Evangile English	35 n Then James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came to him and said to him, “Teacher, we want you to do for us whatever we ask of you.” 36 He replied, “What do you wish [me] to do for you?” 37 They answered him, “Grant that in your glory we may sit one at your right and the other at your left.” 38 * o Jesus said to them, “You do not know what you are asking. Can you drink the cup that I drink or be baptized with the baptism with which I am baptized?” 39 They said to him, “We can.” Jesus said to them, “The cup that I drink, you will drink, and with the baptism with which I am baptized, you will be baptized; 40 but to sit at my right or at my left is not mine to give but is for those for whom it has been prepared.” 41 When the ten heard this, they became indignant at James and John. 42 * Jesus summoned them and said to them,p “You know that those who are recognized as rulers over the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great ones make their authority over them felt. 43 But it shall not be so among you. Rather, whoever wishes to be great among you will be your servant; 44 whoever wishes to be first among you will be the slave of all. 45 For the Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
