Lecture Arabic	1 مِنْ بُولُسَ وسِلْوانُسَ وطِيمُوتَاوُسَ إِلى كنِيسَةِ التَّسَالُونِيكيِّينَ الَّتِي في اللهِ الآبِ والرَّبِّ يَسُوعَ الـمَسيح: أَلنِّعْمَةُ لَكُم والسَّلام! 2 نَشْكُرُ اللهَ دائِمًا مِنْ أَجْلِكُم جَمِيعًا، ونَذْكُرُكُم في صَلَواتِنَا بِغَيْرِ انْقِطاع. 3 ونتَذَكَّرُ في حَضْرةِ إِلـهِنَا وأَبِينَا عَمَلَ إِيْمَانِكُم، وتَعَبَ مَحَبَّتِكُم، وثَبَاتَ رَجَائِكُم، كَمَا في رَبِّنَا يَسُوعَ الـمَسِيح. 4 ونَعْلَم، أَيُّهَا الإِخْوَة، أَحِبَّاءُ الله، أَنَّ اللهَ اخْتَارَكُم؛ 5 لأَنَّ إِنْجِيلَنَا لَمْ يَصِرْ إِلَيْكُم بِالكَلامِ وحَسْب، بَلْ أَيضًا بِالقُوَّةِ وبِالرُّوحِ القُدُسِ وَبِمِلْءِ اليَقِين، وأَنتُم تَعْلَمُونَ كَيْفَ كُنَّا بَيْنَكُم مِن أَجْلِكُم. 6 فَقَدْ صِرْتُم تَقْتَدُونَ بِنَا وبِالرَّبّ، إِذ قَبِلْتُمُ الكَلِمَة، في وَسَطِ ضِيقَاتٍ كَثِيرة، بِفَرَحِ الرُّوحِ القُدُس، 7 حَتَّى صِرْتُم مِثَالاً لِجَمِيعِ الـمُؤْمِنينَ في مَقْدُونِيَةَ وأَخَائِيَة؛ 8 لأَنَّهَا مِنْكُم ذَاعَتْ كَلِمَةُ الرَّبّ، لا في مَقْدُونِيَةَ وأَخَائِيَةَ وحَسْب، بَلْ في كُلِّ مَكَانٍ انتَشَر إِيْمَانُكُم بِالله، حتَّى لَمْ يَعُدْ بِنَا حَاجَةٌ إِلى أَنْ نَقُولَ في ذـلِكَ شَيْئًا. 9 فَهُم أَنْفُسُهُم يُخْبِرُونَ عَنَّا كَيْفَ كَانَ دُخُولُنَا إِلَيْكُم، وكَيْفَ رَجَعْتُم عَنِ الأَوْثَانِ إِلى الله، لِكَي تَعْبُدُوا اللهَ الـحَيَّ الـحَقّ، 10 وتَنْتَظِرُوا مِنَ السَّمَاواتِ ابْنَهُ، الَّذي أَقَامَهُ مِنْ بَينِ الأَمْوَات، يَسُوع، مُنَجِّينَا مِنَ الغَضَبِ الآتي.
Evangile Arabic	36 وسَأَلَهُ وَاحِدٌ مِنَ الفَرِّيسيِّينَ أَنْ يَتَناوَلَ الطَّعَامَ مَعَهُ، فَدَخَلَ بَيْتَ الفَرِّيسيِّ واتَّكَأ. 37 وإِذا امرَأَةٌ، وَهِي الَّتِي كانَتْ في الـمَدينَةِ خَاطِئَة، عَلِمَتْ أَنَّ يَسوعَ مُتَّكِئٌ في بَيْتِ الفَرِّيسيّ، فَجَاءَتْ تَحْمِلُ قَارُورَةَ طِيب. 38 وَوَقَفَتْ بَاكِيةً وَراءَ يَسُوع، عِنْدَ قَدَمَيْه، وَبَدَأَتْ تَبُلُّ قَدَمَيهِ بِالدُّمُوع، وتُنَشِّفُهُمَا بِشَعْرِ رَأْسِهَا، وتُقبِّلُ قَدَمَيْه، وَتَدْهُنُهُمَا بِالطِّيب. 39 وَرأَى الفَرِّيسِيّ، الَّذي دَعَا يَسُوع، مَا جَرَى، فَقَالَ في نَفْسِهِ: "لَوْ كانَ هـذَا نَبِيًّا لَعَلِمَ أَيَّ امرَأَةٍ هِيَ تِلْكَ الَّتي تَلْمُسُهُ! إِنَّهَا خَاطِئَة". 40 فَأَجَابَ يَسوعُ وَقَالَ لَهُ: "يا سِمْعَان، عِنْدِي شَيءٌ أَقُولُهُ لَكَ". قالَ الفَرِّيسِيّ: "قُلْ، يَا مُعَلِّم". 41 قالَ يَسُوع: "كانَ لِدَائِنٍ مَدْيُونَان، أَحَدُهُمَا مَدْيُونٌ بِخَمْسِمِئَةِ دِينَار، والآخَرُ بِخَمْسِين. 42 وإِذْ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُمَا ما يُوفِيَان، سَامَحَهُمَا كِلَيْهِمَا. فأَيُّهُما يَكُونُ أَكْثَرَ حُبًّا لَهُ؟". 43 أَجَابَ سِمْعَانُ وَقَال: "أَظُنُّ، ذَاكَ الَّذِي سَامَحَهُ بِالأَكْثَر". فَقَال لَهُ يَسُوع: "حَكَمْتَ بِالصَّوَاب". 44 ثُمَّ التَفَتَ إِلى الـمَرْأَةِ وَقالَ لِسِمْعَان: "هَلْ تَرَى هـذِهِ الْمَرْأَة؟ أَنَا دَخَلْتُ بَيْتَكَ فَمَا سَكَبْتَ عَلى قَدَمَيَّ مَاء، أَمَّا هِيَ فَقَدْ بَلَّتْ قَدَمَيَّ بِالدُّمُوع، وَنشَّفَتْهُما بِشَعْرِها. 45 أَنْتَ لَمْ تُقَبِّلْنِي، أَمَّا هِيَ فَمُنْذُ دَخَلْتُ لَمْ تَكُفَّ عَنْ تَقْبِيلِ قَدَمَيَّ. 46 أَنْتَ مَا دَهَنْتَ رَأْسِي بِزَيْت، أَمَّا هِيَ فَدَهَنَتْ بِالطِّيبِ قَدَمَيَّ. 47 لِذـلِكَ أَقُولُ لَكَ: خَطايَاهَا الكَثيرةُ مَغْفُورَةٌ لَهَا، لأَنَّها أَحَبَّتْ كَثيرًا. أَمَّا الَّذي يُغْفَرُ لَهُ قَليلٌ فَيُحِبُّ قَلِيلاً". 48 ثُمَّ قَالَ لِلْمَرْأَة: "مَغْفُورَةٌ لَكِ خَطايَاكِ!". 49 فَبَدَأَ الـمُتَّكِئُونَ مَعَهُ يَقُولُونَ في أَنْفُسِهِم: "مَنْ هُوَ هـذَا الَّذي يَغْفِرُ الـخَطايَا أَيْضًا؟". 50 فَقالَ يَسُوعُ لِلْمَرْأَة: "إِيْمَانُكِ خَلَّصَكِ! إِذْهَبِي بِسَلام!".

Lecture French	01 PAUL, SILVAIN ET TIMOTHEE, à l’Église de Thessalonique qui est en Dieu le Père et dans le Seigneur Jésus Christ. À vous, la grâce et la paix. 02 À tout moment, nous rendons grâce à Dieu au sujet de vous tous, en faisant mémoire de vous dans nos prières. Sans cesse, 03 nous nous souvenons que votre foi est active, que votre charité se donne de la peine, que votre espérance tient bon en notre Seigneur Jésus Christ, en présence de Dieu notre Père. 04 Nous le savons, frères bien-aimés de Dieu, vous avez été choisis par lui. 05 En effet, notre annonce de l’Évangile n’a pas été, chez vous, simple parole, mais puissance, action de l’Esprit Saint, pleine certitude : vous savez comment nous nous sommes comportés chez vous pour votre bien. 06 Et vous-mêmes, en fait, vous nous avez imités, nous et le Seigneur, en accueillant la Parole au milieu de bien des épreuves, avec la joie de l’Esprit Saint. 07 Ainsi vous êtes devenus un modèle pour tous les croyants de Macédoine et de Grèce. 08 Et ce n’est pas seulement en Macédoine et en Grèce qu’à partir de chez vous la parole du Seigneur a retenti, mais la nouvelle de votre foi en Dieu s’est si bien répandue partout que nous n’avons pas besoin d’en parler. 09 En effet, les gens racontent, à notre sujet, l’accueil que nous avons reçu chez vous ; ils disent comment vous vous êtes convertis à Dieu en vous détournant des idoles, afin de servir le Dieu vivant et véritable, 10 et afin d’attendre des cieux son Fils qu’il a ressuscité d’entre les morts, Jésus, qui nous délivre de la colère qui vient.
Evangile French	36 Un pharisien avait invité Jésus à manger avec lui. Jésus entra chez lui et prit place à table. 37 Survint une femme de la ville, une pécheresse. Ayant appris que Jésus était attablé dans la maison du pharisien, elle avait apporté un flacon d’albâtre contenant un parfum. 38 Tout en pleurs, elle se tenait derrière lui, près de ses pieds, et elle se mit à mouiller de ses larmes les pieds de Jésus. Elle les essuyait avec ses cheveux, les couvrait de baisers et répandait sur eux le parfum. 39 En voyant cela, le pharisien qui avait invité Jésus se dit en lui-même : « Si cet homme était prophète, il saurait qui est cette femme qui le touche, et ce qu’elle est : une pécheresse. » 40 Jésus, prenant la parole, lui dit : « Simon, j’ai quelque chose à te dire. – Parle, Maître. » 41 Jésus reprit : « Un créancier avait deux débiteurs ; le premier lui devait cinq cents pièces d’argent, l’autre cinquante. 42 Comme ni l’un ni l’autre ne pouvait les lui rembourser, il en fit grâce à tous deux. Lequel des deux l’aimera davantage ? » 43 Simon répondit : « Je suppose que c’est celui à qui on a fait grâce de la plus grande dette. – Tu as raison », lui dit Jésus. 44 Il se tourna vers la femme et dit à Simon : « Tu vois cette femme ? Je suis entré dans ta maison, et tu ne m’as pas versé de l’eau sur les pieds ; elle, elle les a mouillés de ses larmes et essuyés avec ses cheveux. 45 Tu ne m’as pas embrassé ; elle, depuis qu’elle est entrée, n’a pas cessé d’embrasser mes pieds. 46 Tu n’as pas fait d’onction sur ma tête ; elle, elle a répandu du parfum sur mes pieds. 47 Voilà pourquoi je te le dis : ses péchés, ses nombreux péchés, sont pardonnés, puisqu’elle a montré beaucoup d’amour. Mais celui à qui on pardonne peu montre peu d’amour. » 48 Il dit alors à la femme : « Tes péchés sont pardonnés. » 49 Les convives se mirent à dire en eux-mêmes : « Qui est cet homme, qui va jusqu’à pardonner les péchés ? » 50 Jésus dit alors à la femme : « Ta foi t’a sauvée. Va en paix ! »

Thanksgiving for Their Faith. 2 We give thanks to God always for all of you, remembering you in our prayers, unceasinglyb 3 calling to mind your work of faith and labor of love and endurance in hope* of our Lord Jesus Christ, before our God and Father, 4 knowing, brothers loved by God, how you were chosen.c 5 For our gospel did not come to you in word alone, but also in power and in the holy Spirit and [with] much conviction. You know what sort of people we were [among] you for your sake.d 6 And you became imitators* of us and of the Lord, receiving the word in great affliction, with joy from the holy Spirit, 7 so that you became a model for all the believers in Macedonia and in Achaia.e 8 For from you the word of the Lord has sounded forth not only in Macedonia and [in] Achaia, but in every place your faith in God has gone forth, so that we have no need to say anything.f 9 For they themselves openly declare about us what sort of reception we had among you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true Godg 10 and to await his Son from heaven, whom he raised from [the] dead, Jesus, who delivers us from the coming wrath.h
Evangile English	36 o A Pharisee invited him to dine with him, and he entered the Pharisee’s house and reclined at table.* 37 Now there was a sinful woman in the city who learned that he was at table in the house of the Pharisee.p Bringing an alabaster flask of ointment,q 38 she stood behind him at his feet weeping and began to bathe his feet with her tears. Then she wiped them with her hair, kissed them, and anointed them with the ointment. 39 When the Pharisee who had invited him saw this he said to himself, “If this man were a prophet, he would know who and what sort of woman this is who is touching him, that she is a sinner.” 40 Jesus said to him in reply, “Simon, I have something to say to you.” “Tell me, teacher,” he said. 41 “Two people were in debt to a certain creditor; one owed five hundred days’ wages* and the other owed fifty. 42 Since they were unable to repay the debt, he forgave it for both. Which of them will love him more?” 43 Simon said in reply, “The one, I suppose, whose larger debt was forgiven.” He said to him, “You have judged rightly.” 44 Then he turned to the woman and said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? When I entered your house, you did not give me water for my feet, but she has bathed them with her tears and wiped them with her hair. 45 You did not give me a kiss, but she has not ceased kissing my feet since the time I entered. 46 You did not anoint my head with oil, but she anointed my feet with ointment. 47 So I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven; hence, she has shown great love.* But the one to whom little is forgiven, loves little.” 48 He said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.”r 49 The others at table said to themselves, “Who is this who even forgives sins?”s 50 But he said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.”
