Lecture Arabic	9 لِيَفْتَخِرِ الأَخُ الوَضِيعُ برِفْعَتِهِ. 10 والغَنِيُّ بِضَعَتِهِ، لأَنَّهُ كَزَهْرِ العُشْبِ يَزُول: 11 طَلَعَتِ الشَّمْسُ بِحَرِّهَا، فأَيْبَسَتِ العُشْب، وسَقَطَ زَهْرُهُ، وذَهَبَ جَمَالُ مَنظَرِهِ، هـكَذَا يَذْبُلُ الغَنِيُّ في مَسَاعِيه. 12 طُوبَى للرَّجُلِ الَّذي يَثْبُتُ في الـمِحْنَة، لأَنَّهُ بَعْدَ أَنْ يَكُونَ قَدِ امْتُحِن، يَأْخُذُ إِكِليلَ الـحَياة، الَّذي وَعَدَ بِهِ اللهُ الَّذِينَ يُحِبُّونَهُ. 13 إِذَا جُرِّبَ أَحَدٌ فَلا يَقُلْ: "إِنَّ اللهَ يُجَرِّبُنِي"! لأَنَّ اللهَ لا يُمْكِنُ أَنْ يُجَرِّبَهُ الشَّرّ، وهُوَ لا يُجَرِّبُ بِهِ أَحَدًا. 14 بَلْ كُلُّ وَاحِدٍ بِشَهْوَتِهِ يُجَرَّب، حِينَ تَجْتَذِبُهُ وتَسْتَغْوِيه. 15 والشَّهْوَةُ مَتَى حَبِلَتْ تَلِدُ الـخَطِيئَة، والـخَطِيئَةُ مَتَى اكْتَمَلَتْ تُوَلِّدُ الـمَوت. 16 لا تَضِلُّوا، يا إِخْوَتِي الأَحِبَّاء. 17 إِنَّ كُلَّ عَطِيَّةٍ صَالِحَة، وكُلَّ هِبَةٍ كامِلَةٍ هِيَ مِنْ عَلُ، تَنْزِلُ مِنْ عِنْدِ أَبِي الأَنْوَار، الَّذي لا تَحْوِيلَ فيهِ ولا ظِلَّ تَبْدِيل. 18 لقَد شَاءَ فَوَلَدَنَا بِكَلِمَةِ الـحَقّ، لِنَكُونَ بَاكُورَةً مِنْ مَخْلُوقَاتِهِ.
Evangile Arabic	11 وفِيمَا كانَ يَسُوعُ ذَاهِبًا إِلى أُورَشَلِيم، اجْتَازَ ما بَيْنَ السَّامِرَةِ والـجَلِيل. 12 وفِيمَا هُوَ يَدْخُلُ إِحْدَى القُرَى، لَقِيَهُ عَشَرَةُ رِجَالٍ بُرْص، فَوَقَفُوا مِنْ بَعِيد، 13 وَرَفَعُوا أَصْواتَهُم قَائِلين: "يا يَسُوع، يَا مُعَلِّم، إِرْحَمْنا!". 14 وَرَآهُم يَسُوعُ فَقالَ لَهُم: "إِذْهَبُوا وأَرُوا أَنْفُسَكُم لِلْكَهَنَة". وفيمَا هُمْ ذَاهِبُونَ طَهُرُوا. 15 فَلَمَّا رَأَى وَاحِدٌ مِنْهُم أَنَّهُ قَدْ شُفِيَ، عَادَ وَهوَ يُمَجِّدُ اللهَ بِصَوتٍ عَظِيم. 16 وارْتَمَى عَلَى وَجْهِهِ عِنْدَ قَدَمَي يَسُوعَ يَشْكُرُه، وكانَ سَامِرِيًّا. 17 فَأَجَابَ يَسُوعُ وَقال: "أَمَا طَهُرَ العَشَرَة؟ فَأَيْنَ التِّسعَة؟ 18 أَمَا وُجِدَ فِيهِم مَنْ يَعُودُ لِيُمَجِّدَ اللهَ سِوَى هـذَا الغَريب؟!". 19 ثُمَّ قالَ لَهُ: "قُمْ واذْهَبْ، إِيْمَانُكَ خَلَّصَكَ!".

Lecture French	09 Que le frère d’humble condition tire sa fierté d’être élevé, 10 et le riche, d’être humilié, car il passera comme l’herbe en fleur. 11 En effet, le soleil s’est levé, ainsi que le vent brûlant, il a desséché l’herbe, sa fleur est tombée, la beauté de son aspect a disparu ; de même, le riche se flétrira dans toutes ses entreprises. 12 Heureux l’homme qui supporte l’épreuve avec persévérance, car, sa valeur une fois vérifiée, il recevra la couronne de la vie promise à ceux qui aiment Dieu. 13 Dans l’épreuve de la tentation, que personne ne dise : « Ma tentation vient de Dieu. » Dieu, en effet, ne peut être tenté de faire le mal, et lui-même ne tente personne. 14 Chacun est tenté par sa propre convoitise qui l’entraîne et le séduit. 15 Puis la convoitise conçoit et enfante le péché, et le péché, arrivé à son terme, engendre la mort. 16 Ne vous y trompez pas, mes frères bien-aimés, 17 les présents les meilleurs, les dons parfaits, proviennent tous d’en haut, ils descendent d’auprès du Père des lumières, lui qui n’est pas, comme les astres, sujet au mouvement périodique ni aux éclipses. 18 Il a voulu nous engendrer par sa parole de vérité, pour faire de nous comme les prémices de toutes ses créatures.
Evangile French	11 Jésus, marchant vers Jérusalem, traversait la région située entre la Samarie et la Galilée. 12 Comme il entrait dans un village, dix lépreux vinrent à sa rencontre. Ils s’arrêtèrent à distance 13 et lui crièrent : « Jésus, maître, prends pitié de nous. » 14 A cette vue, Jésus leur dit : « Allez vous montrer aux prêtres. » En cours de route, ils furent purifiés. 15 L’un d’eux, voyant qu’il était guéri, revint sur ses pas, en glorifiant Dieu à pleine voix. 16 Il se jeta face contre terre aux pieds de Jésus en lui rendant grâce. Or, c’était un Samaritain. 17 Alors Jésus prit la parole en disant : « Tous les dix n’ont-ils pas été purifiés ? Les neuf autres, où sont-ils ? 18 Il ne s’est trouvé parmi eux que cet étranger pour revenir sur ses pas et rendre gloire à Dieu ! » 19 Jésus lui dit : « Relève-toi et va : ta foi t’a sauvé. »

Lecture English	9 The brother in lowly circumstances* should take pride in his high standing,e 10 and the rich one in his lowliness, for he will pass away “like the flower of the field.”f 11 For the sun comes up with its scorching heat and dries up the grass, its flower droops, and the beauty of its appearance vanishes. So will the rich person fade away in the midst of his pursuits. Temptation. 12 g Blessed is the man who perseveres in temptation,* for when he has been proved he will receive the crown of life that he promised to those who love him. 13 * No one experiencing temptation should say, “I am being tempted by God”; for God is not subject to temptation to evil, and he himself tempts no one.h 14 Rather, each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. 15 Then desire conceives and brings forth sin, and when sin reaches maturity it gives birth to death. 16 * Do not be deceived, my beloved brothers: 17 all good giving and every perfect gift* is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no alteration or shadow caused by change. 18 i He willed to give us birth by the word of truth that we may be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.*
Evangile English	11 As he continued his journey to Jerusalem,e he traveled through Samaria and Galilee.* 12 As he was entering a village, ten lepers met [him]. They stood at a distance from him 13 and raised their voice, saying, “Jesus, Master! Have pity on us!”f 14 And when he saw them, he said, “Go show yourselves to the priests.”* As they were going they were cleansed.g 15 And one of them, realizing he had been healed, returned, glorifying God in a loud voice; 16 and he fell at the feet of Jesus and thanked him. He was a Samaritan. 17 Jesus said in reply, “Ten were cleansed, were they not? Where are the other nine? 18 Has none but this foreigner returned to give thanks to God?” 19 Then he said to him, “Stand up and go; your faith has saved you.”h
