Lecture Arabic	6 أَجَل، إِنَّ التَّقْوَى مَعَ القَنَاعَةِ رِبْحٌ عَظِيم. 7 فإِنَّنا لَمْ نُدْخِلْ إِلى العَالَمِ شَيْئًا، ولا نَسْتَطيعُ أَنْ نُخْرِجَ مِنْهُ شَيئًا. 8 لِذـلِكَ يَكْفِينَا القُوتُ والكُسْوَة. 9 أَمَّا الَّذِينَ يُرِيدُونَ الغِنَى فيَقَعُونَ في التَّجْرِبَةِ والفَخِّ وفي كَثِيرٍ مِنَ الشَّهَوَاتِ الغَبِيَّةِ الـمُضِرَّة، الَّتي تُغْرِقُ الـنَّاسَ في الدَّمَارِ والـهَلاك. 10 فإِنَّ أَصْلَ كُلِّ الشُّرُورِ هُوَ حُبُّ الـمَال، وقَد طَمَحَ إِلَيهِ أُنَاسٌ فَشَرَدُوا عنِ الإِيْمَان، وطَعَنُوا أَنفُسَهُم بِأَوْجَاعٍ شَتَّى. 11 أَمَّا أَنْتَ، يا رجُلَ الله، فَاهْرُبْ مِن تِلْكَ الأُمُور، وَاتْبَعِ البِرَّ والتَّقْوَى والإِيْمَانَ والـمحَبَّةَ والثَّباتَ والوَدَاعَة. 12 جَاهِدِ الـجِهَادَ الـحَسَنَ في سَبِيلِ الإِيْمَان، وأَحْرِزِ الـحَيَاةَ الأَبَدِيَّة، الَّتي دُعِيْتَ إِلَيْهَا، وقدِ اعْتَرَفْتَ الاعْتِرافَ الـحَسَنَ في حَضْرةِ شُهُودٍ كَثِيِرين.
Evangile Arabic	25 ولِهـذَا أَقُولُ لَكُم: لا تَهْتَمُّوا لِنَفْسِكُم بِمَا تَأْكُلُون، ولا لِجَسَدِكُم بِمَا تَلْبَسُون. أَلَيْسَتِ النَّفْسُ أَهَمَّ مِنَ الطَّعَام، والـجَسَدُ أَهَمَّ مِنَ اللِّبَاس؟ 26 أُنْظُرُوا إِلى طُيُورِ السَّمَاء، فهيَ لا تَزْرَع، ولا تَحْصُد، ولا تَخْزُنُ في الأَهْرَاء، وأَبُوكُم السَّمَاويُّ يَقُوتُهَا. ألَسْتُم أَنْتُم بِالـحَرِيِّ أَفْضَلَ مِنْهَا؟ 27 ومَنْ مِنْكُم، إِذَا اهْتَمَّ، يَسْتَطيعُ أَنْ يُطِيلَ عُمْرَهُ مِقْدَارَ ذِرَاعٍ وَاحِدَة؟ 28 ومَا بَالُكُم تَهْتَمُّونَ بِاللِّبَاس؟ تَأَمَّلُوا زَنَابِقَ الـحَقْلِ كَيْفَ تَنْمُو، وهيَ لا تَتْعَبُ ولا تَغْزِل. 29 أَقُولُ لَكُم: إِنَّ سُلَيْمَانَ نَفْسَهُ في كُلِّ مَجْدِهِ لَمْ يَلبَسْ كَوَاحِدَةٍ مِنْهَا. 30 فَإِنْ كَانَ عُشْبُ الـحَقْلِ الَّذي يُوجَدُ اليَوْم، وغَدًا يُطْرَحُ في التَّنُّور، يُلْبِسُهُ اللهُ هـكَذَا، فَكَمْ بِالأَحْرَى يُلْبِسُكُم أَنْتُم يَا قَلِيلِي الإِيْمَان؟ 31 لا تَهْتَمُّوا إِذًا وتَقُولُوا: مَاذَا نَأْكُل، أَوْ مَاذَا نَشْرَب، أَو مَاذَا نَلْبَس؟ 32 فَهـذَا كُلُّهُ يَسْعَى إِلَيْهِ الوَثَنِيُّون، وَأَبُوكُم السَّمَاوِيُّ يَعْلَمُ أَنَّكُم تَحْتَاجُونَ إِلى هـذَا كُلِّهِ. 33 أُطْلُبُوا أَوَّلاً مَلَكُوتَ اللهِ وبِرَّهُ، وذـلِكَ كُلُّهُ يُزَادُ لَكُم. 34 لا تَهْتَمُّوا إِذًا بِالغَد، فَالغَدُ يَهْتَمُّ بِنَفْسِهِ. يَكْفِي كُلَّ يَوْمٍ شَرُّهُ.

Lecture French	06 Certes, il y a un grand profit dans la religion si l’on se contente de ce que l’on a. 07 De même que nous n’avons rien apporté dans ce monde, nous n’en pourrons rien emporter. 08 Si nous avons de quoi manger et nous habiller, sachons nous en contenter. 09 Ceux qui veulent s’enrichir tombent dans le piège de la tentation, dans une foule de convoitises absurdes et dangereuses, qui plongent les gens dans la ruine et la perdition. 10 Car la racine de tous les maux, c’est l’amour de l’argent. Pour s’y être attachés, certains se sont égarés loin de la foi et se sont infligé à eux-mêmes des tourments sans nombre. 11 Mais toi, homme de Dieu, fuis tout cela ; recherche la justice, la piété, la foi, la charité, la persévérance et la douceur. 12 Mène le bon combat, celui de la foi, empare-toi de la vie éternelle ! C’est à elle que tu as été appelé, c’est pour elle que tu as prononcé ta belle profession de foi devant de nombreux témoins.
Evangile French	25 C’est pourquoi je vous dis : Ne vous souciez pas, pour votre vie, de ce que vous mangerez, ni, pour votre corps, de quoi vous le vêtirez. La vie ne vaut-elle pas plus que la nourriture, et le corps plus que les vêtements ? 26 Regardez les oiseaux du ciel : ils ne font ni semailles ni moisson, ils n’amassent pas dans des greniers, et votre Père céleste les nourrit. Vous-mêmes, ne valez-vous pas beaucoup plus qu’eux ? 27 Qui d’entre vous, en se faisant du souci, peut ajouter une coudée à la longueur de sa vie ? 28 Et au sujet des vêtements, pourquoi se faire tant de souci ? Observez comment poussent les lis des champs : ils ne travaillent pas, ils ne filent pas. 29 Or je vous dis que Salomon lui-même, dans toute sa gloire, n’était pas habillé comme l’un d’entre eux. 30 Si Dieu donne un tel vêtement à l’herbe des champs, qui est là aujourd’hui, et qui demain sera jetée au feu, ne fera-t-il pas bien davantage pour vous, hommes de peu de foi ? 31 Ne vous faites donc pas tant de souci ; ne dites pas : “Qu’allons-nous manger ?” ou bien : “Qu’allons-nous boire ?” ou encore : “Avec quoi nous habiller ?” 32 Tout cela, les païens le recherchent. Mais votre Père céleste sait que vous en avez besoin. 33 Cherchez d’abord le royaume de Dieu et sa justice, et tout cela vous sera donné par surcroît. 34 Ne vous faites pas de souci pour demain : demain aura souci de lui-même ; à chaque jour suffit sa peine.

Lecture English	6 * Indeed, religion with contentment is a great gain.e 7 For we brought nothing into the world, just as we shall not be able to take anything out of it.f 8 If we have food and clothing, we shall be content with that.g 9 Those who want to be rich are falling into temptation and into a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires, which plunge them into ruin and destruction.h 10 For the love of money is the root of all evils, and some people in their desire for it have strayed from the faith and have pierced themselves with many pains. Exhortations to Timothy.* 11 But you, man of God,* avoid all this. Instead, pursue righteousness, devotion, faith, love, patience, and gentleness.i 12 Compete well for the faith. Lay hold of eternal life, to which you were called when you made the noble confession in the presence of many witnesses.j
Evangile English	25 n “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat [or drink], or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds in the sky; they do not sow or reap, they gather nothing into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are not you more important than they?o 27 Can any of you by worrying add a single moment to your life-span?* 28 Why are you anxious about clothes? Learn from the way the wild flowers grow. They do not work or spin. 29 But I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was clothed like one of them. 30 * If God so clothes the grass of the field, which grows today and is thrown into the oven tomorrow, will he not much more provide for you, O you of little faith? 31 So do not worry and say, ‘What are we to eat?’ or ‘What are we to drink?’ or ‘What are we to wear?’ 32 All these things the pagans seek. Your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. 33 But seek first the kingdom [of God] and his righteousness,* and all these things will be given you besides. 34 Do not worry about tomorrow; tomorrow will take care of itself. Sufficient for a day is its own evil.
