Lecture Arabic	17 فَإِنْ كُنتُم تَدعُونَ أَبًا ذَاكَ الَّذي يَدِينُ بغَيرِ مُحَاباةٍ كُلَّ واحِدٍ بحَسَبِ عَمَلِهِ، فَسِيرُوا بِـمَخَافَتِهِ طُولَ زَمَانِ غُرْبَتِكُم. 18 واعْلَمُوا أَنَّهُ افْتَدَاكُم مِن سِيرَتِكُمُ البَاطِلَة، الَّتي وَرِثْتُمُوهَا عَنْ آبَائِكُم، لا بِالفَاني مِنَ الفِضَّةِ أَوِ الذَّهَب، 19 بَلْ بدَمٍ كَرِيم، دَمِ حَمَلٍ لا عَيْبَ فيهِ ولا وَصْمَة، دَمِ الـمَسِيح. 20 هُوَ الَّذي عيَّنَهُ اللهُ قَبْلَ إِنْشَاءِ العَالَم، وأَعْلَنَهُ في آخِرِ الأَزمِنَة، مِن أَجْلِكُم. 21 وأَنتُم بِفَضْلِهِ تُؤْمِنُونَ بِالله، الَّذي أَقَامَهُ مِن بَينِ الأَمْوَات، ومَجَّدَهُ، حتَّى يَكُونَ اللهُ غَايَةَ إِيْمَانِكُم ورَجَائِكُم.
Evangile Arabic	11 وفيمَا هُمَا ذَاهِبَتان، جَاءَ بَعْضُ الـحُرَّاسِ إِلى الـمَدِيْنَة، وأَخْبَرُوا الأَحْبَارَ بِكُلِّ مَا حَدَث. 12 فَاجْتَمَعَ الأَحْبَارُ والشُّيُوخُ وتَشَاوَرُوا، ثُمَّ رَشَوا الـجُنُودَ بِمَبْلَغٍ كَبِيرٍ مِنَ الفِضَّة، 13 قَائِلِين: "قُولُوا: إِنَّ تَلامِيذَهُ أَتَوا لَيْلاً وسَرَقُوه، ونَحْنُ نَائِمُون. 14 وإِذَا سَمِعَ الوَالي بِالـخَبَر، فَسَوْفَ نُرْضِيه، ونَجْعَلُكُم في أَمَان". 15 فَأَخَذَ الـجُنُودُ الفِضَّة، وفَعَلُوا كَمَا عَلَّمُوهُم. فَشَاعَ هـذَا القَولُ عِنْدَ اليَهُودِ إِلى هـذَا اليَوم.

Lecture French	17 Si vous invoquez comme Père celui qui juge impartialement chacun selon son œuvre, vivez donc dans la crainte de Dieu, pendant le temps où vous résidez ici-bas en étrangers. 18 Vous le savez : ce n’est pas par des biens corruptibles, l’argent ou l’or, que vous avez été rachetés de la conduite superficielle héritée de vos pères ; 19 mais c’est par un sang précieux, celui d’un agneau sans défaut et sans tache, le Christ. 20 Dès avant la fondation du monde, Dieu l’avait désigné d’avance et il l’a manifesté à la fin des temps à cause de vous. 21 C’est bien par lui que vous croyez en Dieu, qui l’a ressuscité d’entre les morts et qui lui a donné la gloire ; ainsi vous mettez votre foi et votre espérance en Dieu.
Evangile French	11 Tandis qu’elles étaient en chemin, quelques-uns des gardes allèrent en ville annoncer aux grands prêtres tout ce qui s’était passé. 12 Ceux-ci, après s’être réunis avec les anciens et avoir tenu conseil, donnèrent aux soldats une forte somme 13 en disant : « Voici ce que vous direz : “Ses disciples sont venus voler le corps, la nuit pendant que nous dormions.” 14 Et si tout cela vient aux oreilles du gouverneur, nous lui expliquerons la chose, et nous vous éviterons tout ennui. » 15 Les soldats prirent l’argent et suivirent les instructions. Et cette explication s’est propagée chez les Juifs jusqu’à aujourd’hui.

Lecture English	17 Now if you invoke as Father him who judges impartially according to each one’s works, conduct yourselves with reverence during the time of your sojourning,k 18 realizing that you were ransomed from your futile conduct, handed on by your ancestors, not with perishable things like silver or goldl 19 but with the precious blood of Christm as of a spotless unblemished lamb.* 20 He was known before the foundation of the world but revealed in the final time for you, 21 who through him believe in God who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.
Evangile English	11 While they were going, some of the guard went into the city and told the chief priests all that had happened. 12 They assembled with the elders and took counsel; then they gave a large sum of money to the soldiers, 13 telling them, “You are to say, ‘His disciples came by night and stole him while we were asleep.’ 14 And if this gets to the ears of the governor, we will satisfy [him] and keep you out of trouble.” 15 The soldiers took the money and did as they were instructed. And this story has circulated among the Jews to the present [day].
