Lecture Arabic	23 أَهُم خُدَّامٌ لِلمَسِيح؟ أَقُولُ كَمَنْ فَقَدَ صَوَابَهُ: أَنا أَكْثَر! في الأَتْعَابِ أَكْثَر! في السُّجُونِ أَكْثَر! في الضَّرَبَاتِ أَكْثَرُ جِدًّا! في أَخْطَارِ الـمَوْتِ أَكْثَرُ بِمَرَّاتٍ كَثِيرَة! 24 تَلَقَّيْتُ الـجَلْدَ مِنَ اليَهُودِ خَمْسَ مَرَّات، كُلَّ مَرَّةٍ أَرْبَعِينَ جَلْدَةً إِلاَّ وَاحِدَة! 25 ضُرِبْتُ بِالعِصِيِّ ثَلاثَ مَرَّات! رُجِمْتُ مَرَّةً وَاحِدَة! انْكَسَرَتْ بِيَ السَّفينَةُ ثَلاثَ مَرَّات! قَضَيْتُ في عُرْضِ البَحْرِ لَيْلَةً ونَهَارًا! 26 قُمْتُ بِأَسْفَارٍ كَثِيرَة، كُنْتُ في أَخْطَارٍ مِنَ الأَنْهَار، أَخْطَارٍ مِنَ اللُّصُوص، أَخْطَارٍ مِنْ أُمَّتِي، أَخْطَارٍ مِنَ الأُمَم، أَخْطَارٍ في الـمَدِينَة، أَخْطَارٍ في الصَّحْرَاء، أَخْطَارٍ في البَحْر، أَخْطَارٍ بَيْنَ الإِخْوَةِ الكَذَبَة! 27 عَانَيْتُ التَّعَبَ، والكَدَّ، والسَّهَرَ مَرَّاتٍ كَثِيرَة، والـجُوعَ، والعَطَشَ، والصَّوْمَ مَرَّاتٍ كَثِيرَة، والبَرْدَ، والعُرْيَ! 28 أَضِفْ إِلى ذـلِكَ، مَا عَلَيَّ مِنَ الأَعْبَاءِ كُلَّ يَوْم، والاهْتِمَامَ بِجَميعِ الكَنَائِس! 29 مَنْ يَضْعُفُ ولا أَضْعُفُ أَنا؟ ومَنْ يَقَعُ في الـخَطِيئَةِ ولا أَحْتَرِقُ أَنا؟ 30 وإِنْ كَانَ لا بُدَّ مِنَ الافْتِخَار، فأَنا أَفْتَخِرُ بِأَوهَاني! 31 واللهُ أَبُو رَبِّنَا يَسُوع، أَلـمُبَارَكُ إِلى الدُّهُور، يَعْلَمُ أَنِّي لا أَكْذِب: 32 إِنَّ وَالِيَ الـمَلِكِ حَارِث في دِمَشْق، كَانَ يُشَدِّدُ الـحِرَاسَةَ عَلى الـمَدينَة، لِكَي يَقْبِضَ عَلَيَّ.
Evangile Arabic	1 وكانَ عِيدُ الفَطِيرِ الَّذي هوَ عِيدُ الفِصْحِ يَقْتَرِب. 2 وكانَ الأَحْبَارُ وَالكَتَبَةُ يَبْحَثُونَ كَيْفَ يَقْضُونَ عَلَى يَسُوع، لأَنَّهُم كانُوا يَخَافُونَ مِنَ الشَّعْب. 3 ودَخَلَ الشَّيْطَانُ في يَهُوذَا الـمُلَقَّبِ بِالإِسْخَرْيُوطِيّ، وَهُوَ مِنْ عِدَادِ الاثْنَي عَشَر، 4 فَمَضَى وَفَاوَضَ الأَحْبَارَ وقَادَةَ حَرَسِ الـهَيْكَلِ كَيْفَ يُسْلِمُ إِلَيْهِم يَسُوع. 5 فَفَرِحُوا، واتَّفَقُوا أَنْ يُعْطُوهُ فِضَّة. 6 فقَبِلَ، ثُمَّ رَاحَ يَتَلَمَّسُ فُرْصَةً مُؤَاتِيَة، لِيُسْلِمَهُ إِلَيْهِم بَعِيدًا عَنِ الـجَمْع. 7 وحَلَّ يَوْمُ الفَطِير، الَّذي يَجِبُ أَنْ يُذبَحَ حَمَلُ الفِصْحِ فِيه، 8 فَأَرْسَلَ يَسُوعُ بُطْرُسَ وَيُوحَنَّا قَائِلاً: "إِذْهَبَا فَأَعِدَّا لَنَا عَشَاءَ الفِصْحِ لِنَأْكُلَهُ". 9 فقَالا لَهُ: "أَيْنَ تُرِيدُ أَنْ نُعِدَّهُ؟". 10 فقَالَ لَهُمَا: "مَا إِنْ تَدْخُلا الـمَدِينَةَ حَتَّى يَلْقَاكُمَا رَجُلٌ يَحْمِلُ جَرَّةَ مَاء، فاتْبَعَاهُ إِلى البَيْتِ الَّذي يَدْخُلُهُ. 11 وَقُولا لِرَبِّ البَيْت: أَلْمُعَلِّمُ يَقُولُ لَكَ: أَيْنَ القَاعَةُ الَّتي آكُلُ فِيهَا عَشَاءَ الفِصْحِ مَعَ تَلامِيذِي؟ 12 وَهُوَ يُريكُمَا عِلِّيَةً كَبِيرَةً مَفْرُوشَة، فَأَعِدَّاهُ هُنَاك". 13 فذَهَبَا وَوَجَدَا كَمَا قَالَ لَهُمَا، وأَعَدَّا عَشَاءَ الفِصْح. 14 ولَمَّا حَانَتِ السَّاعَة، اتَّكَأَ يَسُوعُ وَمَعَهُ الرُّسُل، 15 فقَالَ لَهُم: "شَهْوَةً اشْتَهَيْتُ أَنْ آكُلَ هـذَا الفِصْحَ مَعَكُم قَبْلَ آلامي! 16 فَإِنِّي أَقُولُ لَكُم: لَنْ آكُلَهُ بَعْدَ اليَومِ إِلَى أَنْ يَتِمَّ في مَلَكُوتِ الله". 17 ثُمَّ أَخَذَ كَأْسًا، وَشَكَرَ، وَقَال: "خُذُوا هـذِهِ الكَأْسَ واقْتَسِمُوهَا بَيْنَكُم. 18 فَإِنِّي أَقُولُ لَكُم: لَنْ أَشْرَبَ عَصِيرَ الكَرْمَة، مُنْذُ الآن، إِلى أَنْ يَأْتِيَ مَلَكُوتُ الله". 19 ثُمَّ أَخَذَ خُبْزًا، وَشَكَرَ، وَكَسَرَ، وَنَاوَلَهُم قَائلاً: "هـذَا هُوَ جَسَدِي الَّذي يُبْذَلُ مِنْ أَجْلِكُم. إِصْنَعُوا هـذَا لِذِكْرِي". 20 وكَذـلِكَ أَخَذَ الكَأْسَ بَعْدَ العَشَاءِ وَقَال: "هـذِهِ الكَأْسُ هِيَ العَهْدُ الـجَدِيدُ بِدَمِي، الَّذي يُهْرَقُ مِنْ أَجْلِكُم. 21 ولـكِنْ، هَا هِيَ يَدُ الَّذي يُسْلِمُنِي مَعِي عَلى الـمَائِدَة. 22 فابْنُ الإِنْسَانِ مَاضٍ كَمَا هُوَ مُقَرَّر؛ إِنَّمَا الوَيْلُ لِذـلِكَ الإِنْسَانِ الَّذي يُسْلِمُهُ!". 23 فابْتَدَأَ الرُّسُلُ يَتَسَاءَلُونَ فِيمَا بَيْنَهُم: "مَنْ تُرَى مِنْهُم هُوَ الـمُزْمِعُ أَنْ يَفْعَلَ هـذَا؟".

Lecture French	23 J’ai moi-même reçu ce qui vient du Seigneur, et je vous l’ai transmis : la nuit où il était livré, le Seigneur Jésus prit du pain, 24 puis, ayant rendu grâce, il le rompit, et dit : « Ceci est mon corps, qui est pour vous. Faites cela en mémoire de moi. » 25 Après le repas, il fit de même avec la coupe, en disant : « Cette coupe est la nouvelle Alliance en mon sang. Chaque fois que vous en boirez, faites cela en mémoire de moi. » 26 Ainsi donc, chaque fois que vous mangez ce pain et que vous buvez cette coupe, vous proclamez la mort du Seigneur, jusqu’à ce qu’il vienne. 27 Et celui qui aura mangé le pain ou bu la coupe du Seigneur d’une manière indigne devra répondre du corps et du sang du Seigneur. 28 On doit donc s’examiner soi-même avant de manger de ce pain et de boire à cette coupe. 29 Celui qui mange et qui boit mange et boit son propre jugement s’il ne discerne pas le corps du Seigneur. 30 C’est pour cela qu’il y a chez vous beaucoup de malades et d’infirmes et qu’un certain nombre sont endormis dans la mort. 31 Si nous avions du discernement envers nous-mêmes, nous ne serions pas jugés. 32 Mais lorsque nous sommes jugés par le Seigneur, c’est une correction que nous recevons, afin de ne pas être condamnés avec le monde.
Evangile French	01 La fête des pains sans levain, qu’on appelle la Pâque, approchait. 02 Les grands prêtres et les scribes cherchaient par quel moyen supprimer Jésus, car ils avaient peur du peuple. 03 Satan entra en Judas, appelé Iscariote, qui était au nombre des Douze. 04 Judas partit s’entretenir avec les grands prêtres et les chefs des gardes, pour voir comment leur livrer Jésus. 05 Ils se réjouirent et ils décidèrent de lui donner de l’argent. 06 Judas fut d’accord, et il cherchait une occasion favorable pour le leur livrer à l’écart de la foule. 07 Arriva le jour des pains sans levain, où il fallait immoler l’agneau pascal. 08 Jésus envoya Pierre et Jean, en leur disant : « Allez faire les préparatifs pour que nous mangions la Pâque. » 09 Ils lui dirent : « Où veux-tu que nous fassions les préparatifs ? » 10 Jésus leur répondit : « Voici : quand vous entrerez en ville, un homme portant une cruche d’eau viendra à votre rencontre ; suivez-le dans la maison où il pénétrera. 11 Vous direz au propriétaire de la maison : “Le maître te fait dire : Où est la salle où je pourrai manger la Pâque avec mes disciples ?” 12 Cet homme vous indiquera, à l’étage, une grande pièce aménagée. Faites-y les préparatifs. » 13 Ils partirent donc, trouvèrent tout comme Jésus leur avait dit, et ils préparèrent la Pâque. 14 Quand l’heure fut venue, Jésus prit place à table, et les Apôtres avec lui. 15 Il leur dit : « J’ai désiré d’un grand désir manger cette Pâque avec vous avant de souffrir ! 16 Car je vous le déclare : jamais plus je ne la mangerai jusqu’à ce qu’elle soit pleinement accomplie dans le royaume de Dieu. » 17 Alors, ayant reçu une coupe et rendu grâce, il dit : « Prenez ceci et partagez entre vous. 18 Car je vous le déclare : désormais, jamais plus je ne boirai du fruit de la vigne jusqu’à ce que le royaume de Dieu soit venu. » 19 Puis, ayant pris du pain et rendu grâce, il le rompit et le leur donna, en disant : « Ceci est mon corps, donné pour vous. Faites cela en mémoire de moi. » 20 Et pour la coupe, après le repas, il fit de même, en disant : « Cette coupe est la nouvelle Alliance en mon sang répandu pour vous. 21 Et cependant, voici que la main de celui qui me livre est à côté de moi sur la table. 22 En effet, le Fils de l’homme s’en va selon ce qui a été fixé. Mais malheureux cet homme-là par qui il est livré ! » 23 Les Apôtres commencèrent à se demander les uns aux autres quel pourrait bien être, parmi eux, celui qui allait faire cela.

Lecture English	23 * For I received from the Lord what I also handed on to you,k that the Lord Jesus, on the night he was handed over, took bread, 24 and, after he had given thanks, broke it and said, “This is my body that is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” 25 In the same way also the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.”l 26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the death of the Lord until he comes. 27 Therefore whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord unworthily will have to answer for the body and blood of the Lord.* 28 A person should examine himself,* and so eat the bread and drink the cup. 29 For anyone who eats and drinks without discerning the body, eats and drinks judgment* on himself. 30 That is why many among you are ill and infirm, and a considerable number are dying. 31 If we discerned ourselves, we would not be under judgment; 32 but since we are judged by [the] Lord, we are being disciplined so that we may not be condemned along with the world.m
Evangile English	1 a Now the feast of Unleavened Bread, called the Passover,* was drawing near, 2 b and the chief priests and the scribes were seeking a way to put him to death, for they were afraid of the people. 3 c Then Satan entered into Judas,* the one surnamed Iscariot, who was counted among the Twelve,d 4 and he went to the chief priests and temple guards to discuss a plan for handing him over to them. 5 They were pleased and agreed to pay him money. 6 He accepted their offer and sought a favorable opportunity to hand him over to them in the absence of a crowd. Preparations for the Passover.e 7 When the day of the feast of Unleavened Bread arrived, the day for sacrificing the Passover lamb,f 8 he sent out Peter and John, instructing them, “Go and make preparations for us to eat the Passover.” 9 They asked him, “Where do you want us to make the preparations?” 10 And he answered them, “When you go into the city, a man will meet you carrying a jar of water.* Follow him into the house that he enters 11 and say to the master of the house, ‘The teacher says to you, “Where is the guest room where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?”’ 12 He will show you a large upper room that is furnished. Make the preparations there.” 13 Then they went off and found everything exactly as he had told them, and there they prepared the Passover.g The Last Supper.h 14 When the hour came, he took his place at table with the apostles. 15 He said to them, “I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover* with you before I suffer, 16 for, I tell you, I shall not eat it [again] until there is fulfillment in the kingdom of God.”i 17 Then he took a cup,* gave thanks, and said, “Take this and share it among yourselves; 18 for I tell you [that] from this time on I shall not drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.” 19 * j Then he took the bread, said the blessing, broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body, which will be given for you; do this in memory of me.” 20 And likewise the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which will be shed for you.k The Betrayal Foretold. 21 l“And yet behold, the hand of the one who is to betray me is with me on the table; 22 for the Son of Man indeed goes as it has been determined; but woe to that man by whom he is betrayed.” 23 And they began to debate among themselves who among them would do such a deed.
