Lecture Arabic	1 أَنَا بُولُسُ نَفْسي أُنَاشِدُكُم بِوَدَاعَةِ الـمَسِيحِ وَحِلْمِهِ، أَنَا الـمُتَواضِعُ بَيْنَكُم عِنْدَمَا أَكُونُ حَاضِرًا، والـجَريءُ عَلَيْكُم عِنْدَما أَكُونُ غَائِبًا. 2 وأَرْجُو أَلاَّ أُجْبَرَ عِنْدَ حُضُورِي أَنْ أَكُونَ جَريئًا، بِالثِّقَةِ الَّتي لي بِكُم، والَّتي أَنْوِي أَنْ أَجْرُؤَ بِهَا عَلى الَّذينَ يَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّنا نَسْلُكُ كَأُنَاسٍ جَسَدِيِّين. 3 أَجَل، إِنَّنا نَحْيَا في الـجَسَد، ولـكِنَّنا لا نُحَارِبُ كَأُنَاسٍ جَسَدِيِّين؛ 4 لأَنَّ أَسْلِحَةَ جِهَادِنا لَيْسَتْ جَسَدِيَّة، بَلْ هيَ قَادِرَةٌ بِاللهِ عَلى هَدْمِ الـحُصُونِ الـمَنِيعَة؛ فإِنَّنا نَهْدِمُ الأَفْكَارَ الـخَاطِئَة، 5 وكُلَّ شُمُوخٍ يَرْتَفِعُ ضِدَّ مَعْرِفَةِ الله، ونَأْسُرُ كُلَّ فِكْرٍ لِطَاعَةِ الـمَسِيح. 6 ونَحْنُ مُسْتَعِدُّونَ أَنْ نُعَاقِبَ كُلَّ عُصْيَان، مَتى كَمُلَتْ طَاعَتُكُم. 7 إِنَّكُم تَحْكُمُونَ عَلى الـمَظَاهِر! إِنْ كَانَ أَحَدٌ وَاثِقًا بِنَفْسِهِ أَنَّهُ لِلمَسيح، فَلْيُفَكِّرْ في نَفْسِهِ أَنَّهُ كَمَا هوَ لِلمَسيحِ كَذـلِكَ نَحْنُ أَيْضًا. 8 فَأَنا لا أَخْجَلُ إِنْ بَالَغْتُ بَعْضَ الـمُبَالَغَةِ في الاِفْتِخَارِ بِالسُّلْطَانِ الَّذي وَهَبَهُ الرَّبُّ لَنا لِبُنْيَانِكُم لا لِهَدْمِكُم. 9 ولا أُرِيدُ أَنْ أَظْهَرَ كأَنِّي أُخَوِّفُكُم بِرَسَائِلي؛ 10 لأَنَّ بَعْضًا مِنْكُم يَقُولُون: "رَسَائِلُهُ شَدِيدَةُ اللَّهْجَةِ وقَوِيَّة، أَمَّا حُضُورُهُ الشَّخْصِيُّ فَهَزِيل، وكَلامُهُ سَخِيف!". 11 فَلْيَعْلَم مِثْلُ هـذَا القَائِلِ أَنَّنا كَما نَحْنُ بِالكَلامِ في الرَّسَائِل، عِنْدَما نَكُونُ غَائِبين، كَذـلِكَ نَحْنُ أَيْضًا بِالفِعْل، عِنْدما نَكُونُ حَاضِرين.
Evangile Arabic	29 في الغَدِ رأَى يُوحَنَّا يَسُوعَ مُقْبِلاً إِلَيْهِ فَقَال: "هَا هُوَ حَمَلُ اللهِ الَّذي يَرْفَعُ خَطِيئَةَ العَالَم. 30 هـذَا هُوَ الَّذي قُلْتُ فِيه: يَأْتِي ورَائِي رَجُلٌ قَدْ صَارَ قُدَّامِي، لأَنَّهُ كَانَ قَبْلي. 31 وأَنَا مَا كُنْتُ أَعْرِفُهُ، لـكِنِّي جِئْتُ أُعَمِّدُ بِالـمَاء ِ لِكَي يَظْهَرَ هُوَ لإِسْرَائِيل". 32 وشَهِدَ يُوحَنَّا قَائِلاً: "رَأَيْتُ الرُّوحَ نَازِلاً كَحَمَامَةٍ مِنَ السَّمَاء، ثُمَّ اسْتَقَرَّ عَلَيْه. 33 وأَنَا مَا كُنْتُ أَعْرِفُهُ، لـكِنَّ الَّذي أَرْسَلَنِي أُعَمِّدُ بِالـمَاءِ هُوَ قَالَ لي: مَنْ تَرَى الرُّوحَ يَنْزِلُ ويَسْتَقِرُّ عَلَيْه، هُوَ الَّذي يُعَمِّدُ بِالرُّوحِ القُدُس. 34 وأَنَا رَأَيْتُ وشَهِدْتُ أَنَّ هـذَا هُوَ ابْنُ الله".

Lecture French	01 Moi-même, Paul, je vous exhorte par la douceur et la bienveillance du Christ, moi si humble quand je suis devant vous, mais plein d’assurance à votre égard quand je n’y suis pas. 02 Je vous en prie, ne m’obligez pas à montrer, quand je viendrai, l’assurance et l’audace dont je prétends bien faire preuve contre ceux qui prétendent que nous avons une conduite purement humaine. 03 Notre conduite est bien une conduite d’homme, mais nous ne combattons pas de manière purement humaine. 04 En effet, les armes de notre combat ne sont pas purement humaines, elles reçoivent de Dieu la puissance qui démolit les forteresses. Nous démolissons les raisonnements fallacieux, 05 tout ce qui, de manière hautaine, s’élève contre la connaissance de Dieu, et nous capturons toute pensée pour l’amener à obéir au Christ. 06 Nous sommes prêts à sévir contre toute désobéissance, dès que votre obéissance à vous sera parfaite. 07 Regardez les choses en face. Si quelqu’un est convaincu d’appartenir au Christ, qu’il tienne compte encore de ceci : comme lui-même appartient au Christ, nous également. 08 Même si je suis un peu trop fier de l’autorité que le Seigneur nous a donnée sur vous pour construire et non pour démolir, je n’aurai pas à en rougir. 09 Je ne veux pas avoir l’air de vous effrayer par mes lettres. 10 « Les lettres ont du poids, dit-on, et de la force, mais sa présence physique est sans vigueur, et sa parole est nulle. » 11 Celui qui parle ainsi, qu’il tienne bien compte de ceci : tels nous sommes en paroles par nos lettres quand nous ne sommes pas là, tels nous serons encore en actes quand nous serons présents.
Evangile French	29 Le lendemain, voyant Jésus venir vers lui, Jean déclara : « Voici l’Agneau de Dieu, qui enlève le péché du monde ; 30 c’est de lui que j’ai dit : L’homme qui vient derrière moi est passé devant moi, car avant moi il était. 31 Et moi, je ne le connaissais pas ; mais, si je suis venu baptiser dans l’eau, c’est pour qu’il soit manifesté à Israël. » 32 Alors Jean rendit ce témoignage : « J’ai vu l’Esprit descendre du ciel comme une colombe et il demeura sur lui. 33 Et moi, je ne le connaissais pas, mais celui qui m’a envoyé baptiser dans l’eau m’a dit : “Celui sur qui tu verras l’Esprit descendre et demeurer, celui-là baptise dans l’Esprit Saint.” 34 Moi, j’ai vu, et je rends témoignage : c’est lui le Fils de Dieu. »

Lecture English	1 Now I myself, Paul, urge you through the gentleness and clemency of Christ,* I who am humble when face to face with you, but brave toward you when absent, 2 * a I beg you that, when present, I may not have to be brave with that confidence with which I intend to act boldly against some who consider us as acting according to the flesh. 3 For, although we are in the flesh, we do not battle according to the flesh,* 4 for the weapons of our battle are not of flesh but are enormously powerful, capable of destroying fortresses. We destroy argumentsb 5 and every pretension raising itself against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive in obedience to Christ, 6 and we are ready to punish every disobedience, once your obedience is complete.c 7 d Look at what confronts you. Whoever is confident of belonging to Christ should consider that as he belongs to Christ, so do we.* 8 e And even if I should boast a little too much of our authority, which the Lord gave for building you up and not for tearing you down, I shall not be put to shame. 9 * May I not seem as one frightening you through letters. 10 For someone will say, “His letters are severe and forceful, but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech contemptible.”f 11 Such a person must understand that what we are in word through letters when absent, that we also are in action when present.g
Evangile English	29 The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God,* who takes away the sin of the world.t 30 * He is the one of whom I said,u ‘A man is coming after me who ranks ahead of me because he existed before me.’ 31 I did not know him,* but the reason why I came baptizing with water was that he might be made known to Israel.” 32 John testified further, saying, “I saw the Spirit come down like a dove* from the sky and remain upon him. 33 I did not know him,v but the one who sent me to baptize with water told me, ‘On whomever you see the Spirit come down and remain, he is the one who will baptize with the holy Spirit.’w 34 * x Now I have seen and testified that he is the Son of God.”
