Lecture Arabic	30 إِذًا فَمَاذَا نَقُول؟ إِنَّ الأُمَمَ الَّذِينَ لَمْ يَسْعَوا إِلى البِرِّ قَدْ أَدْرَكُوا البِرّ، أَيْ البِرَّ الَّذي هُوَ مِنَ الإِيْمَان. 31 أَمَّا إِسْرَائِيلُ الَّذي سَعَى إِلى شَرِيعَةِ البِرّ، فَلَمْ يَبْلُغْ شَرِيعَةَ البِرّ. 32 لِمَاذَا؟ لأَنَّهُ لَمْ يَسْعَ إِلى البِرِّ بِالإِيْمَانِ بَلْ بِالأَعْمَال. فَعَثَرُوا بِحَجَرِ العَثْرَة، 33 كَمَا هوَ مَكْتُوب: "هَا إِنِّي أَضَعُ في صِهْيُونَ حَجَرَ عَثْرَةٍ، وصَخْرَةَ شَكٍّ، فَمَنْ يُؤْمِنُ بِهِ لا يُخْزَى".
Evangile Arabic	16 وَبِمَنْ أُشَبِّهُ هـذَا الـجِيل؟ إِنَّهُ يُشْبِهُ صِبْيَانًا جَالِسِينَ في السَّاحَاتِ يَصيحُونَ بِأَصْحَابِهِم 17 قَائِلين: زَمَّرْنا لَكُم فَلَمْ تَرْقُصُوا، ونَدَبْنا لَكُم فَلَمْ تَنْتَحِبُوا. 18 جَاءَ يُوحَنَّا لا يَأْكُلُ ولا يَشْرَبُ فَقَالُوا: فِيهِ شَيْطان! 19 وجَاءَ ابْنُ الإِنْسَانِ يَأْكُلُ ويَشْرَبُ فَقَالُوا: هُوَذَا إِنْسَانٌ أَكُولٌ وشِرِّيبُ خَمْر، صَدِيقُ العَشَّارِينَ والـخَطَأَة! ولـكِنَّ الـحِكْمَةَ تُبَرِّرُها أَعْمَالُهَا!".

Lecture French	30 Que dire alors ? Des païens qui ne cherchaient pas à devenir des justes ont obtenu de le devenir, mais il s’agissait de la justice qui vient de la foi. 31 Israël, au contraire, qui cherchait à observer une Loi permettant de devenir juste, n’y est pas parvenu. 32 Pourquoi ? Parce qu’au lieu de compter sur la foi, ils comptaient sur les œuvres. Ils ont buté sur la pierre d’achoppement 33 dont il est dit dans l’Écriture : Voici que je pose en Sion une pierre d’achoppement, un roc qui fait trébucher. Celui qui met en lui sa foi ne connaîtra pas la honte.
Evangile French	16 À qui vais-je comparer cette génération ? Elle ressemble à des gamins assis sur les places, qui en interpellent d’autres en disant : 17 “Nous vous avons joué de la flûte, et vous n’avez pas dansé. Nous avons chanté des lamentations, et vous ne vous êtes pas frappé la poitrine.” 18 Jean Baptiste est venu, en effet ; il ne mange pas, il ne boit pas, et l’on dit : “C’est un possédé !” 19 Le Fils de l’homme est venu ; il mange et il boit, et l’on dit : “Voilà un glouton et un ivrogne, un ami des publicains et des pécheurs.” Mais la sagesse de Dieu a été reconnue juste à travers ce qu’elle fait. »
