Lecture Arabic	17 بِالإِيْمَانِ إِبْرَاهِيمُ أَيْضًا، لَمَّا امْتَحَنَهُ الله، قَرَّبَ إِسْحـق. إِنَّهُ كانَ يُقَرِّبُ وَحِيدَهُ الَّذي بِهِ نَالَ الوُعُود. 18 وقَد قِيلَ لَهُ: "بإِسْحـقَ يُدْعَى لَكَ نَسْلٌ!". 19 واعْتَقَدَ أَنَّ اللهَ قَادِرٌ أَنْ يُقِيمَ أَيْضًا مِنْ بَينِ الأَمْوَات. لِذـلِكَ عَادَ فَحَصَلَ على ابْنِهِ مَثَلاً لِلإِيْمَان. 20 بِالإِيْمَانِ أَيْضًا بَارَكَ إِسْحـقُ يَعْقُوبَ وعِيسُو، في شُؤُونِ الـمُسْتَقْبَل. 21 بِالإِيْمَانِ يَعْقُوب، لَمَّا حَضَرَهُ الـمَوْت، بَارَكَ كُلاًّ منِ ابْنَي يُوسُف، وسَجَدَ لله، مُسْتَنِدًا إِلى طَرَفِ عَصَاه. 22 بِالإِيْمَانِ يُوسُف، لَمَّا حَانَ أَجَلُهُ، تَذَكَّرَ خُرُوجَ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيل، وأَوصَاهُم بِعِظَامِهِ.
Evangile Arabic	25 فَقَالُوا لَهُ: "أَنْتَ، مَنْ أَنْت؟". قَالَ لَهُم يَسُوع: "أَنَا هُوَ مَا أَقُولُهُ لَكُم مُنْذُ البَدء. 26 لِي كَلامٌ كَثِيرٌ أَقُولُهُ فِيكُم وأَدِينُكُم. لـكِنَّ الَّذي أَرْسَلَنِي صَادِق. ومَا سَمِعْتُهُ أَنَا مِنْهُ، فَهـذَا أَقُولُهُ لِلْعَالَم". 27 ولَمْ يَعْرِفُوا أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُحَدِّثُهُم عَنِ الآب. 28 ثُمَّ قَالَ لَهُم يَسُوع: "عِنْدَمَا تَرْفَعُونَ ابْنَ الإِنْسَان، تَعْرِفُونَ حِينَئِذٍ أَنِّي أَنَا هُوَ، وَأَنِّي لا أَعْمَلُ شَيْئًا مِنْ تِلْقَاءِ نَفْسِي، بَلْ كَمَا عَلَّمَنِي الآبُ أَتَكَلَّم. 29 والَّذي أَرْسَلَنِي هُوَ مَعِي، ومَا تَرَكَنِي وَحْدِي، لأَنِّي أَعْمَلُ دَومًا مَا يُرْضِيه". 30 وفيمَا هُوَ يَتَكَلَّمُ بِهـذَا، آمَنَ بِهِ كَثِيرُون.

Lecture French	17 Grâce à la foi, quand il fut soumis à l’épreuve, Abraham offrit Isaac en sacrifice. Et il offrait le fils unique, alors qu’il avait reçu les promesses 18 et entendu cette parole : C’est par Isaac qu’une descendance portera ton nom. 19 Il pensait en effet que Dieu est capable même de ressusciter les morts ; c’est pourquoi son fils lui fut rendu : il y a là une préfiguration. 20 Grâce à la foi encore, Isaac bénit Jacob et Ésaü en vue de l’avenir. 21 Grâce à la foi, Jacob mourant bénit l’un et l’autre des fils de Joseph, et il se prosterna, appuyé sur l’extrémité de son bâton. 22 Grâce à la foi, Joseph, à la fin de sa vie, évoqua l’exode des fils d’Israël et donna des ordres au sujet de ses ossements.
Evangile French	25 Alors, ils lui demandaient : « Toi, qui es-tu ? » Jésus leur répondit : « Je n’ai pas cessé de vous le dire. 26 À votre sujet, j’ai beaucoup à dire et à juger. D’ailleurs Celui qui m’a envoyé dit la vérité, et ce que j’ai entendu de lui, je le dis pour le monde. » 27 Ils ne comprirent pas qu’il leur parlait du Père. 28 Jésus leur déclara : « Quand vous aurez élevé le Fils de l’homme, alors vous comprendrez que moi, JE SUIS, et que je ne fais rien de moi-même ; ce que je dis là, je le dis comme le Père me l’a enseigné. 29 Celui qui m’a envoyé est avec moi ; il ne m’a pas laissé seul, parce que je fais toujours ce qui lui est agréable. » 30 Sur ces paroles de Jésus, beaucoup crurent en lui.

Lecture English	17 By faith Abraham, when put to the test, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises was ready to offer his only son,n 18 of whom it was said, “Through Isaac descendants shall bear your name.”o 19 * He reasoned that God was able to raise even from the dead,p and he received Isaac back as a symbol. 20 By faith regarding things still to come Isaac* blessed Jacob and Esau.q 21 By faith Jacob, when dying, blessed each of the sons of Joseph and “bowed in worship, leaning on the top of his staff.”r 22 By faith Joseph, near the end of his life, spoke of the Exodus of the Israelites and gave instructions about his bones.s
Evangile English	25 * So they said to him, “Who are you?”q Jesus said to them, “What I told you from the beginning. 26 I have much to say about you in condemnation. But the one who sent me is true, and what I heard from him I tell the world.”r 27 They did not realize that he was speaking to them of the Father. 28 So Jesus said (to them), “When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will realize that I AM, and that I do nothing on my own, but I say only what the Father taught me.s 29 The one who sent me is with me. He has not left me alone, because I always do what is pleasing to him.” 30 Because he spoke this way, many came to believe in him.
