Lecture Arabic	11 إِذًا لَو كَانَ الكَمَالُ قَدْ تَحَقَّقَ بِالكَهَنُوتِ اللاَّوِيّ، وهُوَ أَسَاسُ الشَّرِيعَةِ الَّتي أُعْطِيَتْ لِلشَّعْب، فأَيُّ حَاجَةٍ بَعْدُ إِلى أَنْ يَقُومَ كَاهِنٌ آخَرُ على رُتْبَةِ مَلْكِيصَادِق"، ولا يُقَال "عَلى رُتْبَةِ هَارُون"؟ 12 فمَتَى تَغَيَّرَ الكَهَنُوت، لا بُدَّ مِنْ تَغْيِيرِ الشَّرِيعَةِ أَيْضًا. 13 فَالَّذي يُقَالُ هـذَا في شَأْنِهِ، أَي الـمَسِيح، جَاءَ مِنْ سِبْطٍ آخَر، لَم يُلازِمْ أَحَدٌ مِنْهُ خِدْمَةَ الـمَذْبَح، 14 ومِنَ الواضِحِ أَنَّ رَبَّنَا أَشْرَقَ مِن يَهُوذَا، مِنْ سِبْطٍ لَمْ يَصِفْهُ مُوسى بِشَيءٍ مِنَ الكَهَنُوت. 15 ويَزِيدُ الأَمْرَ وُضُوحًا أَنَّ الكَاهِنَ الآخَرَ الـَّذي يَقُومُ على مِثَالِ مَلْكِيصَادِق، 16 لَمْ يَقُمْ وَفْقَ شَرِيعةِ وَصِيَّةٍ بَشَرِيَّة، بَلْ وَفْقَ قُوَّةِ حَيَاةٍ لا تَزُول. 17 ويُشْهَدُ لَهُ: "أَنتَ كَاهِنٌ إِلى الأَبَد، على رُتْبَةِ مَلْكِيصَادِق!". 18 وهـكذَا يَتِمُّ إِبْطَالُ وَصِيَّةِ الكَهنُوتِ السَّابِقَة، بِسَبَبِ ضُعْفِهَا وعَدَمِ نَفْعِهَا، 19 لأَنَّ الشَّرِيعَةَ لَمْ تُبَلِّغْ شَيْئًا إِلى الكَمال، ويَتِمُّ أَيْضًا إِدْخَالُ رَجَاءٍ أَفْضَل، بِهِ نَقْتَرِبُ مِنَ الله.
Evangile Arabic	41 وكانَ أَبَوَا يَسُوعَ يَذْهَبَانِ كُلَّ سَنَةٍ في عِيدِ الفِصْحِ إِلى أُورَشَليم. 42 ولَمَّا بَلَغَ يَسُوعُ اثْنَتَي عَشْرَةَ سَنَة، صَعِدُوا مَعًا كَمَا هِيَ العَادَةُ في العِيد. 43 وبَعدَ انْقِضَاءِ أَيَّامِ العِيد، عَادَ الأَبَوَان، وبَقِيَ الصَّبِيُّ يَسُوعُ في أُورَشَلِيم، وهُمَا لا يَدْرِيَان. 44 وإذْ كَانَا يَظُنَّانِ أَنَّهُ في القَافِلَة، سَارَا مَسِيرَةَ يَوْم، ثُمَّ أَخَذَا يَطْلُبانِهِ بَيْنَ الأَقارِبِ والـمَعَارِف. 45 ولَمْ يَجِدَاه، فَعَادَا إِلى أُورَشَليمَ يَبْحَثَانِ عَنْهُ. 46 وَبعْدَ ثَلاثَةِ أَيَّام، وَجَدَاهُ في الـهَيكَلِ جَالِسًا بَيْنَ العُلَمَاء، يَسْمَعُهُم ويَسْأَلُهُم. 47 وكَانَ جَمِيعُ الَّذينَ يَسْمَعُونَهُ مُنْذَهِلينَ بِذَكَائِهِ وأَجْوِبَتِهِ. 48 ولَمَّا رَآهُ أَبَوَاهُ بُهِتَا، وقَالَتْ لَهُ أُمُّهُ: "يا ابْنِي، لِمَاذَا فَعَلْتَ بِنَا هـكَذا؟ فهَا أَنَا وأَبُوكَ كُنَّا نَبْحَثُ عَنْكَ مُتَوَجِّعَين!". 49 فَقَالَ لَهُمَا: "لِمَاذَا تَطْلُبَانِنِي؟ أَلا تَعْلَمَانِ أَنَّهُ يَنْبَغِي أَنْ أَكُونَ في مَا هُوَ لأَبي؟". 50 أَمَّا هُمَا فَلَمْ يَفْهَمَا الكَلامَ الَّذي كَلَّمَهُمَا بِهِ. 51 ثُمَّ نَزَلَ مَعَهُمَا، وعَادَ إِلى النَّاصِرَة، وكانَ خَاضِعًا لَـهُمَا. وكَانَتْ أُمُّه تَحْفَظُ كُلَّ هـذِهِ الأُمُورِ في قَلْبِهَا. 52 وكَانَ يَسُوعُ يَنْمُو في الـحِكْمَةِ والقَامَةِ والنِّعْمَةِ عِنْدَ اللهِ والنَّاس.

Lecture French	11 Si l’on atteignait la perfection par le moyen du sacerdoce lévitique, sur lequel repose la législation du peuple, pourquoi faudrait-il que se lève un autre prêtre de l’ordre de Melkisédek, et qu’il ne soit pas appelé prêtre de l’ordre d’Aaron ? 12 Or s’il y a changement de sacerdoce, il y a nécessairement aussi changement de loi. 13 Celui dont il s’agit ici appartient à une autre tribu, dont aucun membre n’a jamais été au service de l’autel. 14 En effet, il est clair que notre Seigneur a surgi de la tribu de Juda, pour laquelle Moïse ne dit rien quand il parle des prêtres. 15 Les choses sont encore beaucoup plus claires si cet autre prêtre se lève à la ressemblance de Melkisédek 16 et devient prêtre, non pas selon une exigence légale de filiation humaine, mais par la puissance d’une vie indestructible. 17 Car voici le témoignage de l’Écriture : Toi, tu es prêtre de l’ordre de Melkisédek pour l’éternité. 18 On a là, d’une part, l’abrogation du commandement précédent, à cause de sa faiblesse et de son inutilité – puisque la Loi n’a rien mené à la perfection – 19 et, d’autre part, l’introduction d’une espérance meilleure qui nous fait approcher de Dieu.
Evangile French	41 Chaque année, les parents de Jésus se rendaient à Jérusalem pour la fête de la Pâque. 42 Quand il eut douze ans, ils montèrent en pèlerinage suivant la coutume. 43 À la fin de la fête, comme ils s’en retournaient, le jeune Jésus resta à Jérusalem à l’insu de ses parents. 44 Pensant qu’il était dans le convoi des pèlerins, ils firent une journée de chemin avant de le chercher parmi leurs parents et connaissances. 45 Ne le trouvant pas, ils retournèrent à Jérusalem, en continuant à le chercher. 46 C’est au bout de trois jours qu’ils le trouvèrent dans le Temple, assis au milieu des docteurs de la Loi : il les écoutait et leur posait des questions, 47 et tous ceux qui l’entendaient s’extasiaient sur son intelligence et sur ses réponses. 48 En le voyant, ses parents furent frappés d’étonnement, et sa mère lui dit : « Mon enfant, pourquoi nous as-tu fait cela ? Vois comme ton père et moi, nous avons souffert en te cherchant ! » 49 Il leur dit : « Comment se fait-il que vous m’ayez cherché ? Ne saviez-vous pas qu’il me faut être chez mon Père ? » 50 Mais ils ne comprirent pas ce qu’il leur disait. 51 Il descendit avec eux pour se rendre à Nazareth, et il leur était soumis. Sa mère gardait dans son cœur tous ces événements. 52 Quant à Jésus, il grandissait en sagesse, en taille et en grâce, devant Dieu et devant les hommes.

Lecture English	11 * If, then, perfection came through the levitical priesthood, on the basis of which the people received the law, what need would there still have been for another priest to arise according to the order of Melchizedek, and not reckoned according to the order of Aaron?e 12 When there is a change of priesthood, there is necessarily a change of law as well. 13 Now he of whom these things are said* belonged to a different tribe, of which no member ever officiated at the altar. 14 It is clear that our Lord arose from Judah,* and in regard to that tribe Moses said nothing about priests.f 15 * It is even more obvious if another priest is raised up after the likeness of Melchizedek, 16 who has become so, not by a law expressed in a commandment concerning physical descent but by the power of a life that cannot be destroyed.* 17 For it is testified: “You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.”g 18 On the one hand, a former commandment is annulled because of its weakness and uselessness,h 19 for the law brought nothing to perfection; on the other hand, a better hope* is introduced, through which we draw near to God.
Evangile English	41 Each year his parents went to Jerusalem for the feast of Passover,p 42 and when he was twelve years old, they went up according to festival custom. 43 After they had completed its days, as they were returning, the boy Jesus remained behind in Jerusalem, but his parents did not know it. 44 Thinking that he was in the caravan, they journeyed for a day and looked for him among their relatives and acquaintances, 45 but not finding him, they returned to Jerusalem to look for him. 46 After three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions, 47 and all who heard him were astounded at his understanding and his answers. 48 When his parents saw him, they were astonished, and his mother said to him, “Son, why have you done this to us? Your father and I have been looking for you with great anxiety.” 49 And he said to them, “Why were you looking for me? Did you not know that I must be in my Father’s house?”* 50 But they did not understand what he said to them. 51 He went down with them and came to Nazareth, and was obedient to them; and his mother kept all these things in her heart.q 52 And Jesus advanced [in] wisdom and age and favor before God and man.r
