Lecture Arabic	21 بِالإِيْمَانِ يَعْقُوب، لَمَّا حَضَرَهُ الـمَوْت، بَارَكَ كُلاًّ منِ ابْنَي يُوسُف، وسَجَدَ لله، مُسْتَنِدًا إِلى طَرَفِ عَصَاه. 22 بِالإِيْمَانِ يُوسُف، لَمَّا حَانَ أَجَلُهُ، تَذَكَّرَ خُرُوجَ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيل، وأَوصَاهُم بِعِظَامِهِ. 23 بِالإِيْمَانِ مُوسَى، لَمَّا وُلِدَ، أَخْفَاهُ أَبَواهُ ثَلاَثَةَ أَشْهُر، لأَنَّهُمَا رَأَيَا الصَّبِيَّ جَمِيلاً، ولَمْ يَرْهَبَا أَمْرَ الـمَلِك. 24 بِالإِيْمَانِ مُوسَى، لَمَّا كَبُرَ، أَبَى أَنْ يُدْعَى ابْنًا لابْنَةِ فِرْعَون، 25 واخْتَارَ الـمَشَقَّةَ معَ شَعْبِ اللهِ على التَّمَتُّعِ الوَقْتِيِّ بِالْخَطِيئَة، 26 حَاسِبًا عَارَ الـمَسِيحِ غِنًى أَعْظَمَ مِنْ كُنُوزِ مِصْر، لأَنَّهُ كانَ يَتَطَلَّعُ إِلى الـمُكافَأَة. 27 بِالإِيْمَانِ تَرَكَ مِصْر، ولَمْ يَخْشَ غَضَبَ الـمَلِك، وثَبَتَ على عَزْمِهِ، كَأَنَّهُ يَرَى مَا لا يُرَى. 28 بِالإِيْمَانِ صَنَعَ الفِصْحَ ورَشَّ الدَّمّ، لِئَلاَّ يَمَسَّهُم مُهْلِكُ الأَبْكَار. 29 بِالإِيْمَانِ عَبَرَ بَنُو إِسْرائِيلَ البَحْرَ الأَحْمَر، كَمَا على أَرْضٍ يَابِسَة، ولَمَّا حَاوَلَ الـمِصْرِيُّونَ عُبُورَهُ غَرِقُوا. 30 بِالإِيْمَانِ سَقَطَتْ أَسْوَارُ أَرِيْحَا، بَعْدَ الطَّوَافِ حَولَهَا سَبْعَةَ أَيَّام. 31 بِالإِيْمَانِ رَاحَابُ البَغِيُّ لَمْ تَهْلِكْ مَعَ الَّذِينَ عَصَوا، لأَنَّهَا قَبِلَتِ الـجَاسُوسَينِ بِسَلام.
Evangile Arabic	13 وبَعْدَمَا انْصَرَفَ الـمَجُوس، تَرَاءَى مَلاكُ الرَّبِّ في الـحُلْمِ لِيُوسُف، وقَالَ لَهُ:"قُمْ، خُذِ الصَّبِيَّ وأُمَّهُ، وَاهْرُبْ إِلى مِصْر، وابْقَ هُنَاكَ إِلى أَنْ أَقُولَ لَكَ، لأَنَّ هِيرُودُسَ مُزْمِعٌ أَنْ يَبْحَثَ عَنِ الصَّبِيِّ لِيُهْلِكَهُ". 14 فقَامَ يُوسُفُ وأَخَذَ الصَّبِيَّ وأُمَّهُ لَيْلاً، ولَجَأَ إِلى مِصْر. 15 وبَقِيَ هُنَاكَ حَتَّى مَاتَ هِيرُودُس، لِيَتِمَّ مَا قَالَهُ الرَّبُّ بِالنَّبِيّ: "مِنْ مِصْرَ دَعَوْتُ ابْنِي". 16 ولَمَّا رَأَى هِيرُودُسُ أَنَّ الـمَجُوسَ سَخِرُوا مِنْهُ غَضِبَ جِدًّا. وأَرْسَلَ فَقَتَلَ جَمِيعَ الصِّبْيَانِ في بَيْتَ لَحْمَ وضَواحِيها، مِنِ ابْنِ سَنَتَيْنِ فَمَا دُون، بِحَسَبِ الزَّمَنِ الَّذي تَحَقَّقَهُ مِنَ الـمَجُوس. 17 حِينَئِذٍ تَمَّ مَا قِيلَ بِالنَّبِيِّ إِرْمِيَا: 18 "صَوْتٌ سُمِعَ في الرَّامَة، بُكَاءٌ وَنَحِيبٌ كَثِير. رَاحِيلُ تَبْكِي أَوْلادَهَا، وقَدْ أَبَتْ أَنْ تَتَعَزَّى، لأَنَّهُم زَالُوا مِنَ الوُجُود".

Lecture French	21 Grâce à la foi, Jacob mourant bénit l’un et l’autre des fils de Joseph, et il se prosterna, appuyé sur l’extrémité de son bâton. 22 Grâce à la foi, Joseph, à la fin de sa vie, évoqua l’exode des fils d’Israël et donna des ordres au sujet de ses ossements. 23 Grâce à la foi, Moïse, après sa naissance, fut caché pendant trois mois par ses parents, car ils avaient vu que l’enfant était beau, et ils n’eurent pas peur du décret du roi. 24 Grâce à la foi, Moïse, devenu grand, renonça au titre de fils de la fille du Pharaon. 25 Choisissant d’être maltraité avec le peuple de Dieu plutôt que de connaître une éphémère jouissance du péché, 26 il considéra l’injure subie par le Christ comme une richesse plus grande que les trésors de l’Égypte : en effet, il regardait plus loin, vers la récompense. 27 Grâce à la foi, il quitta l’Égypte sans craindre la colère du roi ; il tint ferme, comme s’il voyait Celui qui est invisible. 28 Grâce à la foi, il a fait célébrer la Pâque et appliquer du sang sur les portes, pour que l’Exterminateur des premiers-nés ne touche pas ceux d’Israël. 29 Grâce à la foi, ils passèrent à travers la mer Rouge comme sur une terre sèche, alors que les Égyptiens, essayant d’en faire autant, furent engloutis. 30 Grâce à la foi, les remparts de Jéricho tombèrent après qu’on en eut fait le tour pendant sept jours. 31 Grâce à la foi, Rahab la prostituée ne périt pas avec ceux qui avaient résisté, car elle avait accueilli pacifiquement les hommes envoyés en reconnaissance.
Evangile French	13 Après leur départ, voici que l’ange du Seigneur apparaît en songe à Joseph et lui dit : « Lève-toi ; prends l’enfant et sa mère, et fuis en Égypte. Reste là-bas jusqu’à ce que je t’avertisse, car Hérode va rechercher l’enfant pour le faire périr. » 14 Joseph se leva ; dans la nuit, il prit l’enfant et sa mère, et se retira en Égypte, 15 où il resta jusqu’à la mort d’Hérode, pour que soit accomplie la parole du Seigneur prononcée par le prophète : D’Égypte, j’ai appelé mon fils. 16 Alors Hérode, voyant que les mages s’étaient moqués de lui, entra dans une violente fureur. Il envoya tuer tous les enfants jusqu’à l’âge de deux ans à Bethléem et dans toute la région, d’après la date qu’il s’était fait préciser par les mages. 17 Alors fut accomplie la parole prononcée par le prophète Jérémie : 18 Un cri s’élève dans Rama, pleurs et longue plainte : c’est Rachel qui pleure ses enfants et ne veut pas être consolée, car ils ne sont plus.

Evangile English	13 * When they had departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said, “Rise, take the child and his mother, flee to Egypt,* and stay there until I tell you. Herod is going to search for the child to destroy him.” 14 Joseph rose and took the child and his mother by night and departed for Egypt. 15 * He stayed there until the death of Herod, that what the Lord had said through the prophetd might be fulfilled, “Out of Egypt I called my son.” The Massacre of the Infants. 16 When Herod realized that he had been deceived by the magi, he became furious. He ordered the massacre of all the boys in Bethlehem and its vicinity two years old and under, in accordance with the time he had ascertained from the magi. 17 Then was fulfilled what had been said through Jeremiah the prophet: 18 * e “A voice was heard in Ramah, sobbing and loud lamentation; Rachel weeping for her children, and she would not be consoled, since they were no more.”
