Lecture Arabic	7 فإِذَا كَانَتْ خِدْمَةُ الـمَوْت، الَّتي نُقِشَتْ حُرُوفُهَا في أَلْوَاحٍ مِنْ حَجَر، قَدْ ظَهَرَتْ في الـمَجْد، حَتَّى إِنَّ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ لَمْ يَقْدِرُوا أَنْ يَنْظُرُوا إِلى وَجْهِ مُوسَى، بِسَبَبِ مَجْدِ وَجْهِهِ، معَ أَنَّهُ مَجْدٌ زَائِل، 8 فَكَيْفَ لا تَكُونُ خِدْمَةُ الرُّوحِ أَكْثَرَ مَجْدًا؟ 9 فإِذَا كَانَ لِخِدْمَةِ الدَّيْنُونَةِ مَجْدٌ، فَكَمْ بِالأَحْرَى تَفُوقُهَا خِدْمَةُ البِرِّ مَجْدًا؟ 10 لأَنَّ مَا كَانَ ذَا مَجْدٍ في الـمَاضِي، زَالَ مَجْدُهُ، بِالقِيَاسِ إِلى هـذَا الـمَجْدِ الفَائِق! 11 فإِذَا كَانَ مِنْ مَجْدٍ لِمَا يَزُول، فأَيُّ مَجْدٍ يَكُونُ بِالأَحْرَى لِمَا يَدُوم؟ 12 إِذًا، بِمَا أَنَّ لَنَا مِثْلَ هـذَا الرَّجَاء، فَنَحْنُ نَتَصَرَّفُ بِكَثِيرٍ مِنَ الـجُرْأَة، 13 ولَسْنَا كَمُوسَى الَّذي كَانَ يَضَعُ بُرْقُعًا عَلى وَجْهِهِ، لِئَلاَّ يَنْظُرَ بَنُو إِسْرَائِيلَ إِلى نِهَايَةِ مَجْدٍ يَزُول. 14 ولـكِنْ أُعْمِيَتْ بَصَائِرُهُم؛ فإِنَّ ذ,لِكَ البُرْقُعَ نَفْسَهُ بَاقٍ إِلى هـذَا اليَوْم، عِنْدَمَا يَقْرَأُونَ العَهْدَ القَدِيم؛ ولا يُكْشَفُ عَنْ بَصَائِرِهِم، لأَنَّهُ لا يَزُولُ إِلاَّ بِالـمَسِيح!
Evangile Arabic	28 بَعْدَ ذـلِكَ، كَانَ يَسُوعُ يَعْلَمُ أَنَّ كُلَّ شَيءٍ قَدْ تَمّ، ولِكَي تَتِمَّ آيَةُ الكِتَابِ قَالَ:" أَنَا عَطْشَان!". 29 وكَانَ هُنَاكَ إِنَاءٌ مَمْلُوءٌ خَلاًّ. فَغَمَسُوا في الـخَلِّ إِسْفَنْجَةً، وَوَضَعُوهَا عَلى عُودٍ مِنْ زُوفَى، وأَدْنَوهَا مِنْ فَمِهِ. 30 فَلَمَّا ذَاقَ يَسُوعُ الـخَلَّ قَال: "لَقَدْ تَمّ!". ثُمَّ حَنَى الرَّأْس، وأَسْلَمَ الرُّوح. 31 وإِذْ كَانَ يَوْمُ التَّهْيِئَة، سَأَلَ اليَهُودُ بِيلاطُسَ أَنْ تُكْسَرَ سِيقَانُ الـمَصْلُوبِينَ وتُنْزَلَ أَجْسَادُهُم، لِئَلاَّ تَبْقَى عَلى الصَّليبِ يَوْمَ السَّبْت، لأَنَّ يَوْمَ ذـلِكَ السَّبْتِ كَانَ عَظِيمًا. 32 فَأَتَى الـجُنُودُ وكَسَرُوا سَاقَي الأَوَّلِ والآخَرِ الـمَصْلُوبَينِ مَعَ يَسُوع. 33 أَمَّا يَسُوع، فَلَمَّا جَاؤُوا إِلَيْهِ ورَأَوا أَنَّهُ قَدْ مَات، لَمْ يَكْسِرُوا سَاقَيْه. 34 لـكِنَّ وَاحِدًا مِنَ الـجُنُودِ طَعَنَ جَنْبَهُ بِحَرْبَة. فَخَرَجَ في الـحَالِ دَمٌ ومَاء. 35 والَّذي رَأَى شَهِدَ، وشَهَادَتُهُ حَقّ، وَهُوَ يَعْلَمُ أَنَّهُ يَقُولُ الـحَقَّ لِكَي تُؤْمِنُوا أَنْتُم أَيْضًا. 36 وحَدَثَ هـذَا لِتَتِمَّ آيَةُ الكِتَاب: "لَنْ يُكْسَرَ لَهُ عَظْم". 37 وجَاءَ في آيَةٍ أُخْرَى: "سَيَنْظُرُونَ إِلى الَّذي طَعَنُوه".

Lecture French	07 Le ministère de la mort, celui de la Loi gravée en lettres sur des pierres, avait déjà une telle gloire que les fils d’Israël ne pouvaient pas fixer le visage de Moïse à cause de la gloire, pourtant passagère, qui rayonnait de son visage. 08 Combien plus grande alors sera la gloire du ministère de l’Esprit ! 09 Le ministère qui entraînait la condamnation, celui de la Loi, était déjà rayonnant de gloire ; combien plus grande sera la gloire du ministère qui fait de nous des justes ! 10 Non, vraiment, ce qui, dans une certaine mesure, a été glorieux ne l’est plus, parce qu’il y a maintenant une gloire incomparable. 11 Si, en effet, ce qui était passager a connu un moment de gloire, combien plus ce qui demeure restera-t-il dans la gloire ! 12 Et puisque nous avons une telle espérance, c’est avec grande assurance que nous nous comportons ; 13 nous ne sommes pas comme Moïse qui mettait un voile sur son visage pour empêcher les fils d’Israël de voir la fin de ce rayonnement passager. 14 Mais leurs pensées se sont endurcies. Jusqu’à ce jour, en effet, le même voile demeure quand on lit l’Ancien Testament ; il n’est pas retiré car c’est dans le Christ qu’il disparaît ;
Evangile French	28 Après cela, sachant que tout, désormais, était achevé pour que l’Écriture s’accomplisse jusqu’au bout, Jésus dit : « J’ai soif. » 29 Il y avait là un récipient plein d’une boisson vinaigrée. On fixa donc une éponge remplie de ce vinaigre à une branche d’hysope, et on l’approcha de sa bouche. 30 Quand il eut pris le vinaigre, Jésus dit : « Tout est accompli. » Puis, inclinant la tête, il remit l’esprit. 31 Comme c’était le jour de la Préparation (c’est-à-dire le vendredi), il ne fallait pas laisser les corps en croix durant le sabbat, d’autant plus que ce sabbat était le grand jour de la Pâque. Aussi les Juifs demandèrent à Pilate qu’on enlève les corps après leur avoir brisé les jambes. 32 Les soldats allèrent donc briser les jambes du premier, puis de l’autre homme crucifié avec Jésus. 33 Quand ils arrivèrent à Jésus, voyant qu’il était déjà mort, ils ne lui brisèrent pas les jambes, 34 mais un des soldats avec sa lance lui perça le côté ; et aussitôt, il en sortit du sang et de l’eau. 35 Celui qui a vu rend témoignage, et son témoignage est véridique ; et celui-là sait qu’il dit vrai afin que vous aussi, vous croyiez. 36 Cela, en effet, arriva pour que s’accomplisse l’Écriture : Aucun de ses os ne sera brisé. 37 Un autre passage de l’Écriture dit encore : Ils lèveront les yeux vers celui qu’ils ont transpercé.

Lecture English	7 * Now if the ministry of death,* carved in letters on stone, was so glorious that the Israelites could not look intently at the face of Moses because of its glory that was going to fade,e 8 how much more* will the ministry of the Spirit be glorious? 9 For if the ministry of condemnation was glorious, the ministry of righteousness will abound much more in glory. 10 Indeed, what was endowed with glory has come to have no glory in this respect because of the glory that surpasses it. 11 For if what was going to fade was glorious, how much more will what endures be glorious. 12 Therefore, since we have such hope,* we act very boldly 13 and not like Moses,* who put a veil over his face so that the Israelites could not look intently at the cessation of what was fading. 14 Rather, their thoughts were rendered dull, for to this present day* the same veil remains unlifted when they read the old covenant, because through Christ it is taken away.
Evangile English	28 o After this, aware that everything was now finished, in order that the scripture might be fulfilled,* Jesus said, “I thirst.”p 29 There was a vessel filled with common wine.* So they put a sponge soaked in wine on a sprig of hyssop and put it up to his mouth. 30 * When Jesus had taken the wine, he said, “It is finished.”q And bowing his head, he handed over the spirit. The Blood and Water. 31 Now since it was preparation day, in order that the bodies might not remain on the cross on the sabbath, for the sabbath day of that week was a solemn one, the Jews asked Pilate that their legs be broken and they be taken down.r 32 So the soldiers came and broke the legs of the first and then of the other one who was crucified with Jesus. 33 But when they came to Jesus and saw that he was already dead, they did not break his legs, 34 * s but one soldier thrust his lance into his side, and immediately blood and water flowed out. 35 An eyewitness has testified, and his testimony is true; he knows* that he is speaking the truth, so that you also may [come to] believe.t 36 For this happened so that the scripture passage might be fulfilled: “Not a bone of it will be broken.”u 37 And again another passage says: “They will look upon him whom they have pierced.”v
