Lecture Arabic	12 أَيُّهَا الأَحِبَّاءُ، لا تَتَعَجَّبُوا مِن نَارِ الاضْطِهَادِ الـمُشْتَعِلَةِ عِنْدَكُم لامْتِحَانِكُم، كَأَنَّهُ أَمرٌ غَرِيبٌ يَحْدُثُ لَكُم. 13 بلِ افْرَحُوا بِمِقْدَارِ مَا تَشْتَرِكُونَ في آلامِ الـمَسِيح، حتَّى إِذَا ظَهَرَ مَجْدُهُ تَفْرَحُونَ أَيْضًا وتَبْتَهِجُون. 14 وإِنْ عَيَّروكُم بِاسْمِ الْمَسِيح، فَطُوبَى لَكُم، لأَنَّ رُوحَ الْمَجْد، رُوحَ الله، يَسْتَقِرُّ فيكُم. 15 فَلا يَكُونَنَّ فِيكُم مَنْ يتَأَلَّمُ لأَنَّهُ قَاتِلٌ أَو سَارِقٌ أَو فَاعِلُ شرٍّ أَو مُتَطَفِّلٌ عَلى الغَير. 16 ولـكِنْ إِنْ تَأَلَّمَ أَحَدُكُم لأَنَّهُ مسِيحِيّ، فلا يَخْجَلْ! بَلْ فَلْيُمَجِّدِ اللهَ بِهـذَا الاسْم؛ 17 لأَنَّ الوَقْتَ قَدْ حَانَ لِيَبْتَدِئَ القَضَاءُ بِأَهْلِ بَيْتِ الله. وإِنْ كانَ بَدْؤُهُ بِنَا، فَمَا تَكُونُ نِهايَةُ الَّذِينَ لا يُطِيعُونَ إِنْجِيلَ الله؟ 18 "وَإِنْ كَانَ البَارُّ بِالـجَهْدِ يَخْلُص، فمَا حَالُ الكَافِرِ والـخَاطِئ؟". 19 لِذـلِكَ فَالَّذِينَ يتأَلَّمُونَ وَفْقَ مَشِيئَةِ الله، فَلْيَسْتَودِعُوا الـخَالِقَ الأَمِينَ نُفُوسَهُم، وهُم مُوَاظِبُونَ على عَمَلِ الـخَير.
Evangile Arabic	48 أَنَا هُوَ خُبْزُ الـحَيَاة. 49 آبَاؤُكُم أَكَلُوا الـمَنَّ في البَرِّيَّة، ومَاتُوا. 50 هـذَا هُوَ الـخُبْزُ النَّازِلُ مِنَ السَّمَاء، لِيَأْكُلَ مِنْهُ الإِنْسَانُ فلا يَمُوت. 51 أَنَا هُوَ الـخُبْزُ الـحَيُّ النَّازِلُ مِنَ السَّمَاء. مَنْ يَأْكُلْ مِنْ هـذَا الـخُبْزِ يَحْيَ إِلى الأَبَد. والـخُبْزُ الَّذِي أَنَا أُعْطِيهِ هُوَ جَسَدِي، مِنْ أَجْلِ حَيَاةِ العَالَم". 52 فَأَخَذَ اليَهُودُ يَتَجَادَلُونَ ويَقُولُون: "كَيْفَ يَقْدِرُ هـذَا أَنْ يُعْطِيَنَا جَسَدَهُ لِنَأْكُلَهُ؟". 53 فَقَالَ لَهُم يَسُوع: "أَلـحَقَّ الـحَقَّ أَقُولُ لَكُم: إِنْ لَمْ تَأْكُلُوا جَسَدَ ابْنِ الإِنْسَان، وتَشْرَبُوا دَمَهُ، فلا تَكُونُ لَكُم حَيَاةٌ في أَنْفُسِكُم. 54 مَنْ يَأْكُلُ جَسَدِي ويَشْرَبُ دَمِي يَنَالُ حَيَاةً أَبَدِيَّة، وأَنَا أُقِيمُهُ في اليَوْمِ الأَخِير، 55 لأَنَّ جَسَدِي طَعَامٌ حَقِيقِيّ، ودَمِي شَرَابٌ حَقِيقِيّ. 56 مَنْ يَأْكُلُ جَسَدِي ويَشْرَبُ دَمِي يَثْبُتُ فِيَّ وأَنَا فِيه. 57 كَمَا أَرْسَلَنِي الآبُ الـحَيّ، وأَنَا بِالآبِ أَحْيَا، كَذـلِكَ مَنْ يَأْكُلُنِي يَحْيَا هُوَ أَيْضًا بِي. 58 هـذَا هُوَ الـخُبْزُ الَّذي نَزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَاء، لا كَمَا أَكَلَ آبَاؤُكُم ومَاتُوا. مَنْ يَأْكُلُ هـذَا الـخُبْزَ يَحْيَا إِلى الأَبَد". 59 هـذَا قَالَهُ يَسُوعُ في الـمَجْمَعِ وهُوَ يُعَلِّمُ في كَفَرْنَاحُوم.

Lecture French	12 Bien-aimés, ne trouvez pas étrange le brasier allumé parmi vous pour vous mettre à l’épreuve ; ce qui vous arrive n’a rien d’étrange. 13 Dans la mesure où vous communiez aux souffrances du Christ, réjouissez-vous, afin d’être dans la joie et l’allégresse quand sa gloire se révélera. 14 Si l’on vous insulte pour le nom du Christ, heureux êtes-vous, parce que l’Esprit de gloire, l’Esprit de Dieu, repose sur vous. 15 Que personne d’entre vous, en effet, n’ait à souffrir comme meurtrier, voleur, malfaiteur, ou comme agitateur. 16 Mais si c’est comme chrétien, qu’il n’ait pas de honte, et qu’il rende gloire à Dieu pour ce nom-là. 17 Car voici le temps du jugement : il commence par la famille de Dieu. Or, s’il vient d’abord sur nous, quelle sera la fin de ceux qui refusent d’obéir à l’Évangile de Dieu ? 18 Et, si le juste est sauvé à grand-peine, l’impie, le pécheur, où va-t-il se montrer ? 19 Ainsi, ceux qui souffrent en faisant la volonté de Dieu, qu’ils confient leurs âmes au Créateur fidèle, en faisant le bien.
Evangile French	48 Moi, je suis le pain de la vie. 49 Au désert, vos pères ont mangé la manne, et ils sont morts ; 50 mais le pain qui descend du ciel est tel que celui qui en mange ne mourra pas. 51 Moi, je suis le pain vivant, qui est descendu du ciel : si quelqu’un mange de ce pain, il vivra éternellement. Le pain que je donnerai, c’est ma chair, donnée pour la vie du monde. » 52 Les Juifs se querellaient entre eux : « Comment celui-là peut-il nous donner sa chair à manger ? » 53 Jésus leur dit alors : « Amen, amen, je vous le dis : si vous ne mangez pas la chair du Fils de l’homme, et si vous ne buvez pas son sang, vous n’avez pas la vie en vous. 54 Celui qui mange ma chair et boit mon sang a la vie éternelle ; et moi, je le ressusciterai au dernier jour. 55 En effet, ma chair est la vraie nourriture, et mon sang est la vraie boisson. 56 Celui qui mange ma chair et boit mon sang demeure en moi, et moi, je demeure en lui. 57 De même que le Père, qui est vivant, m’a envoyé, et que moi je vis par le Père, de même celui qui me mange, lui aussi vivra par moi. 58 Tel est le pain qui est descendu du ciel : il n’est pas comme celui que les pères ont mangé. Eux, ils sont morts ; celui qui mange ce pain vivra éternellement. » 59 Voilà ce que Jésus a dit, alors qu’il enseignait à la synagogue de Capharnaüm.

Lecture English	12 Beloved, do not be surprised that a trial by fire is occurring among you, as if something strange were happening to you.g 13 But rejoice to the extent that you share in the sufferings of Christ, so that when his glory is revealed you may also rejoice exultantly.h 14 If you are insulted for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you.i 15 But let no one among you be made to suffer as a murderer, a thief, an evildoer, or as an intriguer. 16 But whoever is made to suffer as a Christian should not be ashamed but glorify God because of the name. 17 For it is time for the judgment to begin with the household of God; if it begins with us, how will it end for those who fail to obey the gospel of God?j 18 “And if the righteous one is barely saved, where will the godless and the sinner appear?”k 19 As a result, those who suffer in accord with God’s will hand their souls over to a faithful creator as they do good.
Evangile English	48 I am the bread of life. 49 Your ancestors ate the manna in the desert, but they died;z 50 this is the bread that comes down from heaven so that one may eat it and not die. 51 I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world.”a 52 The Jews quarreled among themselves, saying, “How can this man give us [his] flesh to eat?” 53 Jesus said to them, “Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life within you. 54 Whoever eats* my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him on the last day. 55 For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. 56 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him. 57 Just as the living Father sent me and I have life because of the Father, so also the one who feeds on me will have life because of me.b 58 This is the bread that came down from heaven. Unlike your ancestors who ate and still died, whoever eats this bread will live forever.” 59 These things he said while teaching in the synagogue in Capernaum.
