Lecture Arabic	40 وكَانَ يُنَاشِدُهُم بِأَقْوَالٍ أُخْرَى كَثِيرة، ويَحُثُّهُم قَائِلاً: "تَخَلَّصُوا مِنْ هـذَا الـجِيلِ الـمُلْتَوِي!". 41 فَقَبِلُوا كَلامَهُ، واعْتَمَدُوا، وانْضَمَّ في ذ,لِكَ اليَومِ نَحْوُ ثَلاثَةِ آلافِ نَفْس. 42 وكَانُوا مُوَاظِبينَ عَلى تَعْلِيمِ الرُّسُل، والـمُشَارَكَة، وكَسْرِ الـخُبْز، والصَّلَوَات. 43 واسْتَولَى الـخَوْفُ عَلى كُلِّ نَفْسٍ، لأَنَّ عَجَائِبَ وآيَاتٍ كَثِيرَةً كَانَتْ تَجْرِي عَلى أَيْدِي الرُّسُل. 44 وكَانَ الـمُؤْمِنُونَ كُلُّهُم مُتَّحِدِينَ مَعًا، وكَانُوا يَتَشَارَكُونَ في كُلِّ شَيء، 45 فَيَبِيعُونَ أَمْلاكَهُم ومُقْتَنياتِهِم، ويُوَزِّعُونَ ثَمَنَهَا عَلى الـجَمِيع، بِحَسَبِ حَاجَةِ كُلٍّ مِنْهُم. 46 وكَانُوا كُلَّ يَوْمٍ يُلازِمُونَ الـهَيْكَلَ بِنَفْسٍ وَاحِدَة، ويَكْسِرُونَ الـخُبْزَ في كُلِّ بَيْتٍ مِنْ بُيُوتِهِم، ويَتَنَاوَلُونَ الطَّعَامَ بـِابْتِهَاجٍ وسَلامَةِ قَلْب، 47 ويُسَبِّحُونَ اللهَ، ويَنَالُونَ حُظْوَةً لَدَى الشَّعْبِ كُلِّهِ. وكَانَ الرَّبُّ يَضُمُّ مَعًا كُلَّ يَوْم، أُولـئِكَ الَّذِينَ يَخْلُصُون.
Evangile Arabic	37 وفي آخِرِ أَيَّامِ العِيدِ وأَعْظَمِهَا، وَقَفَ يَسُوعُ وهَتَفَ قَائِلاً: "إِنْ عَطِشَ أَحَدٌ فَلْيَأْتِ إِليَّ. 38 وَالـمُؤْمِنُ بِي فَلْيَشْرَبْ، كَمَا قَالَ الكِتَاب: مِنْ جَوْفِهِ تَتَدَفَّقُ أَنْهَارُ مَاءٍ حَيّ". 39 قَالَ هـذَا عَنِ الرُّوحِ الَّذِي كَانَ الـمُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِ مُزْمِعِينَ أَنْ يَقْبَلُوه. فَالرُّوحُ لَمْ يَكُنْ بَعْدُ قَدْ أُعْطِيَ، لأَنَّ يَسُوعَ لَمْ يَكُنْ بَعْدُ قَدْ مُجِّد.

Lecture French	40 Par bien d’autres paroles encore, Pierre les adjurait et les exhortait en disant : « Détournez-vous de cette génération tortueuse, et vous serez sauvés. » 41 Alors, ceux qui avaient accueilli la parole de Pierre furent baptisés. Ce jour-là, environ trois mille personnes se joignirent à eux. 42 Ils étaient assidus à l’enseignement des Apôtres et à la communion fraternelle, à la fraction du pain et aux prières. 43 La crainte de Dieu était dans tous les cœurs à la vue des nombreux prodiges et signes accomplis par les Apôtres. 44 Tous les croyants vivaient ensemble, et ils avaient tout en commun ; 45 ils vendaient leurs biens et leurs possessions, et ils en partageaient le produit entre tous en fonction des besoins de chacun. 46 Chaque jour, d’un même cœur, ils fréquentaient assidûment le Temple, ils rompaient le pain dans les maisons, ils prenaient leurs repas avec allégresse et simplicité de cœur ; 47 ils louaient Dieu et avaient la faveur du peuple tout entier. Chaque jour, le Seigneur leur adjoignait ceux qui allaient être sauvés.
Evangile French	37 Au jour solennel où se terminait la fête, Jésus, debout, s’écria : « Si quelqu’un a soif, qu’il vienne à moi, et qu’il boive, 38 celui qui croit en moi ! Comme dit l’Écriture : De son cœur couleront des fleuves d’eau vive. » 39 En disant cela, il parlait de l’Esprit Saint qu’allaient recevoir ceux qui croiraient en lui. En effet, il ne pouvait y avoir l’Esprit, puisque Jésus n’avait pas encore été glorifié.

Lecture English	40 He testified with many other arguments, and was exhorting them, “Save yourselves from this corrupt generation.”w 41 Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand persons were added that day.x Communal Life.* 42 y They devoted themselves to the teaching of the apostles and to the communal life, to the breaking of the bread and to the prayers.z 43 Awe came upon everyone, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles.a 44 All who believed were together and had all things in common;b 45 they would sell their property and possessions and divide them among all according to each one’s need. 46 Every day they devoted themselves to meeting together in the temple area and to breaking bread in their homes. They ate their meals with exultation and sincerity of heart, 47 praising God and enjoying favor with all the people. And every day the Lord added to their number those who were being saved.
Evangile English	37 On the last and greatest day of the feast, Jesus stood up and exclaimed, “Let anyone who thirsts come to me and drink.u 38 Whoever believes in me, as scripture says: ‘Rivers of living water* will flow from within him.’”v 39 He said this in reference to the Spirit that those who came to believe in him were to receive. There was, of course, no Spirit yet,* because Jesus had not yet been glorified.w
