Lecture Arabic	13 ولَمَّا شَاهَدُوا جُرْأَةَ بُطْرُسَ ويُوحَنَّا، وقَدْ أَدْرَكُوا أَنَّهُمَا أُمِّيَّانِ عَادِيَّان، أَخَذَهُم العَجَب. وكَانُوا يَعْرِفُونَ أَنَّهُمَا كَانَا مَعَ يَسُوع. 14 وإذْ رَأَوا الرَّجُلَ الـمُعَافَى واقِفًا مَعَهُمَا، لَمْ يَبْقَ لَهُمَا شَيءٌ يُنَاقِضُونَهُمَا بِهِ. 15 فَأَمَرُوا بِإِخْرَاجِهِمَا مِنَ الـمَجْلِس، وأَخَذُوا يَتَشَاوَرُونَ فِيمَا بَيْنَهُم 16 قَائِلين: "مَاذَا نَفْعَلُ بِهـذَينِ الرَّجُلَيْن؟ لأَنَّهَا قَدْ جَرَتْ عَلى أَيْدِيهِمَا آيَةٌ مَشْهُورَة، ظَاهِرَةٌ لِجَميعِ سُكَّانِ أُورَشَليم، فلا نَقْدِرُ أَنْ نُنْكِرَهَا. 17 ولـكِنْ، لِئَلاَّ تَزْدَادَ انْتِشَارًا بَينَ الشَّعْب، فلْنَتَهَدَّدْهُمَا أَلاَّ يُكَلِّمَا أَحَدًا مِنْ بَعْدُ بِهـذَا الاسْم!". 18 ثُمَّ اسْتَدْعَوهُمَا وأَمَرُوهُمَا أَلاَّ يَنْطِقَا ولا يُعَلِّمَا البَتَّةَ بِاسْمِ يَسُوع. 19 فَأَجَابَ بُطرُسُ ويُوحَنَّا وقَالا لَهُم: "أُحْكُمُوا أَنْتُم إِنْ كَانَ عَدْلاً أَمَامَ اللهِ أَنْ نَسْمَعَ لَكُم، أَمْ بِالـحَرِيِّ أَنْ نَسْمَعَ لله. 20 أَمَّا نَحْنُ، فَإِنَّنَا لا نَقْدِرُ أَلاَّ نتَكَلَّمَ بِمَا رَأَيْنا وسَمِعْنَا!". 21 ولَمَّا لَمْ يَجِدُوا سَبيلاً إِلى مُعاقَبَتِهِمَا، تَهَدَّدُوهُمَا ثُمَّ أَطْلَقُوهُمَا، خَوْفًا مِنَ الشَّعْب، لأَنَّ الـجَميعَ كَانُوا يُمَجِّدُونَ اللهَ عَلى مَا جَرَى؛ 22 لأَنَّ الرَّجُلَ الَّذِي تَمَّتْ فِيهِ آيَةُ الشِّفَاءِ هـذِهِ قَدْ جَاوَزَ الأَربَعِينَ عَامًا.
Evangile Arabic	9 كَمَا أَحَبَّنِي الآب، كَذـلِكَ أَنَا أَحْبَبْتُكُم. أُثْبُتُوا في مَحَبَّتِي. 10 إِنْ تَحْفَظُوا وصَايَايَ تَثْبُتُوا في مَحَبَّتِي، كَمَا حَفِظْتُ وَصَايَا أَبِي وأَنَا ثَابِتٌ في مَحَبَّتِهِ. 11 كَلَّمْتُكُم بِهـذَا لِيَكُونَ فَرَحِي فِيكُم، فَيَكْتَمِلَ فَرَحُكُم. 12 هـذِهِ هِيَ وَصِيَّتِي أَنْ تُحِبُّوا بَعْضُكُم بَعْضًا كَمَا أَنَا أَحْبَبْتُكُم. 13 لَيْسَ لأَحَدٍ حُبٌّ أَعْظَمُ مِنْ هـذَا، وهُوَ أَنْ يَبْذُلَ الإِنْسَانُ نَفْسَهُ في سَبِيلِ أَحِبَّائِهِ. 14 أَنْتُم أَحِبَّائِي إِنْ تَعْمَلُوا بِمَا أُوصِيكُم بِهِ.

Lecture French	13 Constatant l’assurance de Pierre et de Jean, et se rendant compte que c’était des hommes sans culture et de simples particuliers, ils étaient surpris ; d’autre part, ils reconnaissaient en eux ceux qui étaient avec Jésus. 14 Mais comme ils voyaient, debout avec eux, l’homme qui avait été guéri, ils ne trouvaient rien à redire. 15 Après leur avoir ordonné de quitter la salle du Conseil suprême, ils se mirent à discuter entre eux. 16 Ils disaient : « Qu’allons-nous faire de ces gens-là ? Il est notoire, en effet, qu’ils ont opéré un miracle ; cela fut manifeste pour tous les habitants de Jérusalem, et nous ne pouvons pas le nier. 17 Mais pour en limiter la diffusion dans le peuple, nous allons les menacer afin qu’ils ne parlent plus à personne en ce nom-là. » 18 Ayant rappelé Pierre et Jean, ils leur interdirent formellement de parler ou d’enseigner au nom de Jésus. 19 Ceux-ci leur répliquèrent : « Est-il juste devant Dieu de vous écouter, plutôt que d’écouter Dieu ? À vous de juger. 20 Quant à nous, il nous est impossible de nous taire sur ce que nous avons vu et entendu. » 21 Après de nouvelles menaces, ils les relâchèrent, faute d’avoir trouvé le moyen de les punir : c’était à cause du peuple, car tout le monde rendait gloire à Dieu pour ce qui était arrivé. 22 En effet, l’homme qui avait bénéficié de ce miracle de guérison avait plus de quarante ans.
Evangile French	09 Comme le Père m’a aimé, moi aussi je vous ai aimés. Demeurez dans mon amour. 10 Si vous gardez mes commandements, vous demeurerez dans mon amour, comme moi, j’ai gardé les commandements de mon Père, et je demeure dans son amour. 11 Je vous ai dit cela pour que ma joie soit en vous, et que votre joie soit parfaite. 12 Mon commandement, le voici : Aimez-vous les uns les autres comme je vous ai aimés. 13 Il n’y a pas de plus grand amour que de donner sa vie pour ceux qu’on aime. 14 Vous êtes mes amis si vous faites ce que je vous commande.

Lecture English	13 Observing the boldness of Peter and John and perceiving them to be uneducated, ordinary men, they were amazed, and they recognized them as the companions of Jesus. 14 Then when they saw the man who had been cured standing there with them, they could say nothing in reply. 15 So they ordered them to leave the Sanhedrin, and conferred with one another, saying, 16 “What are we to do with these men? Everyone living in Jerusalem knows that a remarkable sign was done through them, and we cannot deny it. 17 But so that it may not be spread any further among the people, let us give them a stern warning never again to speak to anyone in this name.”e 18 So they called them back and ordered them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus. 19 Peter and John, however, said to them in reply, “Whether it is right in the sight of God for us to obey you rather than God, you be the judges.f 20 It is impossible for us not to speak about what we have seen and heard.” 21 After threatening them further, they released them, finding no way to punish them, on account of the people who were all praising God for what had happened. 22 For the man on whom this sign of healing had been done was over forty years old.
