Lecture Arabic	1 وأَنَا، أَيُّهَا الإِخْوَة، لَمَّا أَتَيْتُكُم لأُبَشِّرَكُم بِسِرِّ الله، لَمْ آتِ بِبَرَاعَةِ الكَلاَمِ أَوِ الـحِكْمَة؛ 2 لأَنِّي قَرَّرْتُ أَنْ لا أَعْرِفَ بَيْنَكُم شَيْئًا إِلاَّ يَسُوعَ الـمَسِيح، وَإِيَّاهُ مَصْلُوبًا! 3 وقَدْ جِئْتُ إِلَيْكُم بِضُعْفٍ وَخَوْفٍ وَرِعْدَةٍ شَدِيدَة. 4 ولَمْ يَكُنْ كَلامِي وَتَبْشِيري بِكَلِمَاتِ الْحِكْمَةِ والإِقْنَاع، بَلْ بِبُرْهَانِ الرُّوحِ وَالقُدْرَة، 5 لِئَلاَّ يَكُونَ إِيْمَانُكُم قَائِمًا عَلى حِكْمَةِ النَّاس، بَلْ عَلى قُدْرَةِ الله. 6 غَيْرَ أَنَّنَا نَنْطِقُ بِالـحِكْمَةِ بَيْنَ الكَامِلين، ولـكِنْ لا بِحِكْمَةِ هـذَا الدَّهْر، ولا بِحِكْمَةِ رُؤَسَاءِ هـذَا الدَّهْرِ الَّذِينَ مَصِيرُهُم إِلى الزَّوَال. 7 بَلْ نَنْطِقُ بِسِرِّ حِكْمَةِ اللهِ المَحْجُوبَة، الَّتي سَبَقَ اللهُ فَحَدَّدَهَا قَبْلَ الدُّهُورِ لِمَجْدِنَا. 8 وهيَ الـحِكْمَةُ الَّتي لَمْ يَعْرِفْهَا أَحَدٌ مِنْ رُؤَسَاءِ هـذَا الدَّهْر، لأَنَّهُم لَوْ عَرَفُوهَا لَمَا صَلَبُوا رَبَّ الـمَجْد. 9 ولـكِنْ، كَمَا هوَ مَكْتُوب: "مَا لَمْ تَرَهُ عَيْن، ولَمْ تَسْمَعْ بِهِ أُذُن، ولَمْ يَخْطُرْ عَلَى قَلْبِ بَشَر، قَدْ أَعَدَّهُ اللهُ لِلَّذِينَ يُحِبُّونَهُ". 10 لـكِنَّ اللهَ أَعْلَنَهُ لَنَا بِرُوحِهِ، لأَنَّ الرُّوحَ يَسْبُرُ كُلَّ شَيءٍ حَتَّى أَعْمَاقَ الله.
Evangile Arabic	21 مَنْ كَانَتْ لَدَيْهِ وَصَايَاي ويَحْفَظُهَا، هُوَ الَّذي يُحِبُّنِي. ومَنْ يُحِبُّنِي يُحِبُّهُ أَبِي، وأَنَا أُحِبُّهُ وأُظْهِرُ لَهُ ذَاتِي". 22 قَالَ لَهُ يَهُوذَا، لا ذَاكَ الإِسْخَريُوطِيّ: "يَا رَبّ، مَاذَا جَرَى حَتَّى تُظْهِرَ ذَاتَك لَنَا، لا لِلعَالَم؟". 23 أَجَابَ يَسُوعُ وقَالَ لَهُ: "مَنْ يُحِبُّنِي يَحْفَظُ كَلِمَتِي، وأَبِي يُحِبُّهُ وإِلَيْهِ نَأْتِي، وعِنْدَهُ نَجْعَلُ لَنَا مَنْزِلاً. 24 مَنْ لا يُحِبُّنِي لا يَحْفَظُ كَلِمَتِي. والكَلِمَةُ الَّتِي تَسْمَعُونَهَا لَيْسَتْ كَلِمَتِي، بَلْ كَلِمَةُ الآبِ الَّذي أَرْسَلَنِي. 25 كَلَّمْتُكُم بِهـذَا، وأَنَا مُقِيمٌ عِنْدَكُم. 26 لـكِنَّ البَرَقْلِيط، الرُّوحَ القُدُس، الَّذي سَيُرْسِلُهُ الآبُ بِاسْمِي، هُوَ يُعَلِّمُكُم كُلَّ شَيء، ويُذَكِّرُكُم بِكُلِّ مَا قُلْتُهُ لَكُم. 27 أَلسَّلامَ أَسْتَودِعُكُم، سَلامِي أُعْطِيكُم. لا كَمَا يُعْطِيهِ العَالَمُ أَنَا أُعْطِيكُم. لا يَضْطَرِبْ قَلْبُكُم ولا يَخَفْ!

Lecture French	01 Frères, quand je suis venu chez vous, je ne suis pas venu vous annoncer le mystère de Dieu avec le prestige du langage ou de la sagesse. 02 Parmi vous, je n’ai rien voulu connaître d’autre que Jésus Christ, ce Messie crucifié. 03 Et c’est dans la faiblesse, craintif et tout tremblant, que je me suis présenté à vous. 04 Mon langage, ma proclamation de l’Évangile, n’avaient rien d’un langage de sagesse qui veut convaincre ; mais c’est l’Esprit et sa puissance qui se manifestaient, 05 pour que votre foi repose, non pas sur la sagesse des hommes, mais sur la puissance de Dieu. 06 Pourtant, c’est bien de sagesse que nous parlons devant ceux qui sont adultes dans la foi, mais ce n’est pas la sagesse de ce monde, la sagesse de ceux qui dirigent ce monde et qui vont à leur destruction. 07 Au contraire, ce dont nous parlons, c’est de la sagesse du mystère de Dieu, sagesse tenue cachée, établie par lui dès avant les siècles, pour nous donner la gloire. 08 Aucun de ceux qui dirigent ce monde ne l’a connue, car, s’ils l’avaient connue, ils n’auraient jamais crucifié le Seigneur de gloire. 09 Mais ce que nous proclamons, c’est, comme dit l’Écriture : ce que l’œil n’a pas vu, ce que l’oreille n’a pas entendu, ce qui n’est pas venu à l’esprit de l’homme, ce que Dieu a préparé pour ceux dont il est aimé. 10 Et c’est à nous que Dieu, par l’Esprit, en a fait la révélation. Car l’Esprit scrute le fond de toutes choses, même les profondeurs de Dieu.
Evangile French	21 Celui qui reçoit mes commandements et les garde, c’est celui-là qui m’aime ; et celui qui m’aime sera aimé de mon Père ; moi aussi, je l’aimerai, et je me manifesterai à lui. » 22 Jude – non pas Judas l’Iscariote – lui demanda : « Seigneur, que se passe-t-il ? Est-ce à nous que tu vas te manifester, et non pas au monde ? » 23 Jésus lui répondit : « Si quelqu’un m’aime, il gardera ma parole ; mon Père l’aimera, nous viendrons vers lui et, chez lui, nous nous ferons une demeure. 24 Celui qui ne m’aime pas ne garde pas mes paroles. Or, la parole que vous entendez n’est pas de moi : elle est du Père, qui m’a envoyé. 25 Je vous parle ainsi, tant que je demeure avec vous ; 26 mais le Défenseur, l’Esprit Saint que le Père enverra en mon nom, lui, vous enseignera tout, et il vous fera souvenir de tout ce que je vous ai dit. 27 Je vous laisse la paix, je vous donne ma paix ; ce n’est pas à la manière du monde que je vous la donne. Que votre cœur ne soit pas bouleversé ni effrayé.

Lecture English	1 When I came to you, brothers, proclaiming the mystery of God,* I did not come with sublimity of words or of wisdom.a 2 For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ, and him crucified.b 3 I came to you in weakness* and fear and much trembling, 4 and my message and my proclamation were not with persuasive (words of) wisdom,* but with a demonstration of spirit and power,c 5 so that your faith might rest not on human wisdom but on the power of God.d The True Wisdom.* 6 Yet we do speak a wisdom to those who are mature, but not a wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age who are passing away. 7 Rather, we speak God’s wisdom,* mysterious, hidden, which God predetermined before the ages for our glory, 8 and which none of the rulers of this age* knew; for if they had known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 9 But as it is written: “What eye has not seen, and ear has not heard, and what has not entered the human heart, what God has prepared for those who love him,”e 10 f this God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit scrutinizes everything, even the depths of God.
Evangile English	21 Whoever has my commandments and observes them is the one who loves me. And whoever loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and reveal myself to him.”o 22 Judas, not the Iscariot,* said to him, “Master, [then] what happened that you will reveal yourself to us and not to the world?”p 23 Jesus answered and said to him, “Whoever loves me will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our dwelling with him.q 24 Whoever does not love me does not keep my words; yet the word you hear is not mine but that of the Father who sent me. 25 “I have told you this while I am with you. 26 The Advocate, the holy Spirit that the Father will send in my name—he will teach you everything and remind you of all that [I] told you.r 27 Peace* I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give it to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled or afraid.s
