Lecture Arabic	1 واجْتازَا أَمْفِيبُولِيس وأَبُولُّونِيَة، ووَصَلا إِلى تَسَالُونِيكي، حَيْثُ كَانَ مَجْمَعٌ لِليَهُود. 2 ودَخَلَ بُولُسُ علَيْهِم، كَعَادَتِهِ، وجَادَلَهُم ثَلاثَةَ سُبُوت، مُنطَلِقًا مِنَ الكُتُب، 3 شَارِحًا ومُبَيِّنًا أَنَّهُ كانَ يَنْبَغِي لِلمَسيحِ أَنْ يَتَأَلَّمَ ويَقُومَ مِنْ بَيْنِ الأَمْوَات، وأَنَّ يَسُوعَ هـذَا الَّذِي أُبَشِّرُكُم بِهِ هُوَ الـمَسيح. 4 فَاقْتَنَعَ بَعْضٌ مِنْهُم، والْتَحَقُوا بِبُولُسَ وسِيلا، مَعَ جُمْهُورٍ كَثِيرٍ مِنَ اليُونَانيِّينَ الـمُتَعَبِّدِين، ونِسَاءٍ عَابِدَاتٍ مِنْ سَيِّدَاتِ الـمُجْتَمَع. 5 ودَبَّ الـحَسَدُ في اليَهُودِ فَجَمَعُوا رِجَالاً أَشْرَارًا مِنْ أَهْلِ السُّوق، وحَشَدُوا الـجُمُوع، وأَشَاعُوا الفَوضَى في الـمَدِينَة، وهَجَمُوا على بَيْتِ يَاسُونَ يَبْحَثُونَ عَنْ بُولُسَ وسِيلا، لِيَسُوقُوهُما إِلى الشَّعْب. 6 ولَمَّا لَمْ يَجِدُوهُمَا جَرُّوا يَاسُونَ وبَعْضَ الإِخْوَةِ إِلى حُكَّامِ الـمَدِينَة، وهُم يَصِيحُون: "هـؤُلاءِ الَّذِينَ أَثارُوا الفِتَنَ في الـمَسْكُونَةِ هُمُ الآنَ هُنا، 7 في ضِيافَةِ يَاسُون. وهـؤُلاءِ كُلُّهُم يُخالِفُونَ أَحْكَامَ قَيْصَر، ويَقُولُونَ إِنَّ هُنَاكَ مَلِكًا آخَرَ هُوَ يَسُوع. 8 فاضْطَرَبَ الـجَمْعُ وحُكَّامُ الـمَدِينَةِ لَدَى سَمَاعِهِم ذـلِكَ، 9 فأَخَذُوا كَفَالَةً مِنْ يَاسُونَ والآخَرِين، وأَطْلَقُوا سِراحَهُم. 10 ولِلحالِ أَرْسَلَ الإِخوَةُ بُولُسَ وسِيلا لَيْلاً إِلى بِيرِيَة. ولَمَّا وصَلا دَخَلا مَجمَعَ اليَهُود. 11 وكانَ يَهُودُ بِيرِيَةَ أَشْرَفَ مِنْ يَهُودِ تَسَالُونِيكي، فَقَبِلُوا الكَلِمَةَ بِكُلِّ رَغْبَة. وكَانُوا كُلَّ يَوْمٍ يَفْحَصُونَ الكُتُبَ لِيَرَوا هَلِ الأَمْرُ كَذ,لِكَ. 12 فآمَنَ كَثيرُونَ مِنهُم، ومِنَ النِّساءِ اليُونانيَّاتِ النَّبيلات، وعدَدٌ كبيرٌ مِنَ الرِّجَال.
Evangile Arabic	14 وَكانَ يَسُوعُ يُخْرِجُ شَيْطَانًا أَخْرَس. فَلَمَّا أَخْرَجَ الشَّيْطَانَ تَكَلَّمَ الأَخْرَس، فَتَعَجَّبَ الـجُمُوع. 15 وَقالَ بَعْضُهُم: "إِنَّهُ بِبَعْلَ زَبُول، رَئِيسِ الشَّيَاطِين، يُخْرِجُ الشَّيَاطِين". 16 وَكانَ آخَرُونَ يَطْلُبُونَ مِنْهُ آيَةً مِنَ السَّمَاءِ لِيُجَرِّبُوه. 17 أَمَّا يَسُوعُ فَعَلِمَ أَفْكَارَهُم وَقَالَ لَهُم: "كُلُّ مَمْلَكَةٍ تَنْقَسِمُ عَلى نَفْسِها تَخْرَبْ، فَيَسْقُطُ بَيْتٌ عَلَى بَيْت. 18 وَإِنِ انْقَسَمَ الشَّيْطَانُ أَيْضًا عَلَى نَفْسِهِ، فَكَيْفَ تَثْبُتُ مَمْلَكَتُهُ؟ لأَنَّكُم تَقُولُون: إِنِّي بَبَعْلَ زَبُولَ أُخْرِجُ الشَّيَاطِين. 19 وَإِنْ كُنْتُ أَنا بِبَعْلَ زَبُولَ أُخْرِجُ الشَّيَاطِين، فَأَبْنَاؤُكُم بِمَنْ يُخرِجُونَهُم؟ لِذـلِكَ فَهُم أَنْفُسُهُم سَيَحْكُمُونَ عَلَيكُم. 20 أَمَّا إِنْ كُنْتُ أَنَا بِإِصْبَعِ اللهِ أُخْرِجُ الشَّيَاطِين، فَقَدْ وَافَاكُم مَلَكُوتُ الله. 21 عِنْدَمَا يَحْرُسُ القَوِيُّ دَارَهُ وَهُوَ بِكَامِلِ سِلاحِهِ، تَكُونُ مُقْتَنَيَاتُهُ في أَمَان. 22 أَمَّا إِذَا فَاجَأَهُ مَنْ هُوَ أَقْوَى مِنْهُ وَغَلَبَهُ، فَإِنَّهُ يُجَرِّدُهُ مِنْ كَامِلِ سِلاحِهِ، الَّذي كَانَ يَعْتَمِدُ عَلَيْه، وَيُوَزِّعُ غَنَائِمَهُ. 23 مَنْ لَيْسَ مَعِي فَهُوَ عَلَيَّ، وَمَنْ لا يَجْمَعُ مَعِي فَهُوَ يُبَدِّد.

Lecture French	01 Ayant traversé Amphipolis et Apollonia, ils arrivèrent à Thessalonique, où les Juifs avaient une synagogue. 02 Suivant son habitude, Paul entra chez eux. Pendant trois sabbats, il discuta avec eux à partir des Écritures, 03 dont il ouvrait le sens pour établir que le Christ devait souffrir et ressusciter d’entre les morts ; il ajoutait : « Le Christ, c’est ce Jésus que moi, je vous annonce. » 04 Quelques-uns d’entre eux se laissèrent convaincre et s’attachèrent à Paul et à Silas, avec une grande multitude de Grecs qui adoraient Dieu et avec un bon nombre de femmes de notables. 05 Mais les Juifs, pris de jalousie, ramassèrent sur la place publique quelques vauriens ; ayant provoqué des attroupements, ils semaient le trouble dans la ville. Ils marchèrent jusqu’à la maison de Jason, à la recherche de Paul et de Silas, pour les faire comparaître devant le peuple. 06 Ne les trouvant pas, ils traînèrent Jason et quelques frères devant les magistrats, en criant : « Ceux qui ont semé le désordre dans le monde entier, voilà qu’ils sont ici, 07 et Jason les accueille ! Ils contreviennent tous aux édits de l’empereur en disant qu’il y a un autre roi : Jésus. » 08 Ces Juifs jetèrent ainsi le trouble parmi la foule et les magistrats, qui entendaient cela. 09 On fit payer une caution à Jason et aux autres avant de les relâcher. 10 Aussitôt, les frères firent partir de nuit vers Bérée Paul et Silas qui, dès leur arrivée, se rendirent à la synagogue des Juifs. 11 Ceux-ci avaient des sentiments plus nobles que ceux de Thessalonique, et ils accueillirent la Parole de tout leur cœur, interrogeant chaque jour les Écritures pour voir si ce que l’on disait était exact. 12 Beaucoup d’entre eux devinrent donc croyants, ainsi que des femmes grecques de qualité et un bon nombre d’hommes.
Evangile French	14 Jésus expulsait un démon qui rendait un homme muet. Lorsque le démon fut sorti, le muet se mit à parler, et les foules furent dans l’admiration. 15 Mais certains d’entre eux dirent : « C’est par Béelzéboul, le chef des démons, qu’il expulse les démons. » 16 D’autres, pour le mettre à l’épreuve, cherchaient à obtenir de lui un signe venant du ciel. 17 Jésus, connaissant leurs pensées, leur dit : « Tout royaume divisé contre lui-même devient désert, ses maisons s’écroulent les unes sur les autres. 18 Si Satan, lui aussi, est divisé contre lui-même, comment son royaume tiendra-t-il ? Vous dites en effet que c’est par Béelzéboul que j’expulse les démons. 19 Mais si c’est par Béelzéboul que moi, je les expulse, vos disciples, par qui les expulsent-ils ? Dès lors, ils seront eux-mêmes vos juges. 20 En revanche, si c’est par le doigt de Dieu que j’expulse les démons, c’est donc que le règne de Dieu est venu jusqu’à vous. 21 Quand l’homme fort, et bien armé, garde son palais, tout ce qui lui appartient est en sécurité. 22 Mais si un plus fort survient et triomphe de lui, il lui enlève son armement auquel il se fiait, et il distribue tout ce dont il l’a dépouillé. 23 Celui qui n’est pas avec moi est contre moi ; celui qui ne rassemble pas avec moi disperse.

Lecture English	1 When they took the road through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they reached Thessalonica, where there was a synagogue of the Jews.a 2 Following his usual custom, Paul joined them, and for three sabbaths he entered into discussions with them from the scriptures, 3 expounding and demonstrating that the Messiah had to suffer and rise from the dead, and that “This is the Messiah, Jesus, whom I proclaim to you.”b 4 Some of them were convinced and joined Paul and Silas; so, too, a great number of Greeks who were worshipers, and not a few of the prominent women. 5 But the Jews became jealous and recruited some worthless men loitering in the public square, formed a mob, and set the city in turmoil. They marched on the house of Jason,c intending to bring them before the people’s assembly. 6 * When they could not find them, they dragged Jason and some of the brothers before the city magistrates, shouting, “These people who have been creating a disturbance all over the world have now come here, 7 and Jason has welcomed them.d They all act in opposition to the decrees of Caesar and claim instead that there is another king, Jesus.”* 8 They stirred up the crowd and the city magistrates who, upon hearing these charges, 9 took a surety payment from Jason and the others before releasing them. Paul in Beroea. 10 The brothers immediately sent Paul and Silas to Beroea during the night. Upon arrival they went to the synagogue of the Jews. 11 These Jews were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, for they received the word with all willingness and examined the scriptures daily to determine whether these things were so.e 12 Many of them became believers, as did not a few of the influential Greek women and men.
Evangile English	14 He was driving out a demon [that was] mute, and when the demon had gone out, the mute person spoke and the crowds were amazed. 15 Some of them said, “By the power of Beelzebul, the prince of demons, he drives out demons.”f 16 Others, to test him, asked him for a sign from heaven.g 17 But he knew their thoughts and said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself will be laid waste and house will fall against house. 18 And if Satan is divided against himself, how will his kingdom stand? For you say that it is by Beelzebul that I drive out demons. 19 If I, then, drive out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your own people* drive them out? Therefore they will be your judges. 20 But if it is by the finger of God that [I] drive out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.h 21 When a strong man fully armed guards his palace, his possessions are safe. 22 But when one stronger* than he attacks and overcomes him, he takes away the armor on which he relied and distributes the spoils. 23 Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.i
