Lecture Arabic	16 ولَمَّا دَخَلْنَا رُومَا، سُمِحَ لِبُولُسَ أَنْ يُقِيمَ في بَيْت، هُوَ والـجُنْدِيُّ الَّذِي يَحْرُسُهُ. 17 وبَعْدَ ثَلاثَةِ أَيَّام، أَرْسَلَ بُولُسُ يَدْعُو أَعْيَانَ اليَهُود. ولَمَّا اجْتَمَعُوا أَخَذَ يَقُولُ لَهُم: "أَيُّهَا الرِّجَالُ الإِخْوَة، أَنَا لَمْ أَفْعَلْ شَيْئًا ضِدَّ شَعْبِنَا، أَو ضِدَّ عَادَاتِ آبَائِنَا، وقَدْ سُجِنْتُ في أُورَشَليمَ وأُسْلِمْتُ إِلى أَيْدي الرُّومَان.لرُّومَان، وكَانُوا يُريدُونَ أَنْ يُطْلِقُوا سَرَاحِي، لأَنَّهُ لَمْ يَكُنْ فِيَّ مَا يَسْتَوْجِبُ الـمَوْت. 19 ولـكِنَّ اليَهُودَ عَارَضُوا، فَاضْطُرِرْتُ أَنْ أَرْفَعَ دَعْوَايَ إِلى قَيْصَر، لا كَأَنَّ لي شَيْئًا أَشْكُو بِهِ أُمَّتِي. 20 فَلِهـذَا السَّبَبِ دَعَوْتُكُم لأَرَاكُم وأُكَلِّمَكُم، لأَنِّي أَنَا مِنْ أَجْلِ رَجَاءِ إِسْرَائِيلَ مُوثَقٌ بِهـذِهِ السَّلاسِل". 21 أَمَّا هُم فقَالُوا لَهُ: "نَحْنُ مَا تَلَقَّيْنَا مِنَ اليَهُودِيَّةِ أَيَّ رِسَالَةٍ في شَأْنِكَ، ولا قَدِمَ أَحَدٌ مِنَ الإِخْوَةِ يُخْبِرُنَا أَو يُكَلِّمُنَا عَنْكَ بِسُوء. 22 غَيرَ أَنَّنَا نَوَدُّ لَو نَسْمَعُ مِنْكَ رأْيَكَ. أَمَّا مِنْ جِهَة هـذِهِ الشِّيعَة، فنَحْنُ نَعْلَمُ أَنَّهَا تُقَاوَمُ في كُلِّ مَكَان".
Evangile Arabic	18 وَقالَ يَسُوع: "مَاذَا يُشْبِهُ مَلَكُوتُ الله؟ وَبِمَاذا أُشَبِّهُهُ؟ 19 إنَّهُ يُشْبِهُ حَبَّةَ خَرْدَلٍ أَخَذَها رَجُلٌ وَأَلْقَاهَا في بُسْتَانِهِ، فَنَمَتْ وَصَارَتْ شَجَرَة، وَعَشَّشَتْ طُيُورُ السَّمَاءِ في أَغْصَانِهَا". 20 وقَالَ أَيْضًا: "بِمَاذَا أُشَبِّهُ مَلَكُوتَ الله؟ 21 إنَّهُ يُشْبِهُ خَمِيرَةً أَخَذَتْهَا امْرَأَةٌ وَخَبَّأَتْهَا في ثَلاثَةِ أَكْيَالٍ مِنَ الدَّقِيقِ حَتَّى اخْتَمَرَ كُلُّهُ".

Lecture French	16 À notre arrivée à Rome, il a reçu l’autorisation d’habiter en ville avec le soldat qui le gardait. 17 Trois jours après, il fit appeler les notables des Juifs. Quand ils arrivèrent, il leur dit : « Frères, moi qui n’ai rien fait contre notre peuple et les coutumes reçues de nos pères, je suis prisonnier depuis Jérusalem où j’ai été livré aux mains des Romains. 18 Après m’avoir interrogé, ceux-ci voulaient me relâcher, puisque, dans mon cas, il n’y avait aucun motif de condamnation à mort. 19 Mais, devant l’opposition des Juifs, j’ai été obligé de faire appel à l’empereur, sans vouloir pour autant accuser ma nation. 20 C’est donc pour ce motif que j’ai demandé à vous voir et à vous parler, car c’est à cause de l’espérance d’Israël que je porte ces chaînes. » 21 Ils lui répondirent : « Pour notre part, nous n’avons pas reçu à ton sujet de lettre en provenance de Judée, et aucun frère venu ici n’a rapporté ou dit du mal de toi. 22 Nous souhaitons pourtant apprendre de toi ce que tu penses, car nous avons été informés que votre groupe est contesté partout. »
Evangile French	18 Jésus disait donc : « À quoi le règne de Dieu est-il comparable, à quoi vais-je le comparer ? 19 Il est comparable à une graine de moutarde qu’un homme a prise et jetée dans son jardin. Elle a poussé, elle est devenue un arbre, et les oiseaux du ciel ont fait leur nid dans ses branches. » 20 Il dit encore : « À quoi pourrai-je comparer le règne de Dieu ? 21 Il est comparable au levain qu’une femme a pris et enfoui dans trois mesures de farine, jusqu’à ce que toute la pâte ait levé. »

Lecture English	16 When he entered Rome,* Paul was allowed to live by himself, with the soldier who was guarding him. Testimony to Jews in Rome. 17 * Three days later he called together the leaders of the Jews. When they had gathered he said to them, “My brothers, although I had done nothing against our people or our ancestral customs, I was handed over to the Romans as a prisoner from Jerusalem.b 18 After trying my case the Romans wanted to release me, because they found nothing against me deserving the death penalty.c 19 But when the Jews objected, I was obliged to appeal to Caesar, even though I had no accusation to make against my own nation.d 20 This is the reason, then, I have requested to see you and to speak with you, for it is on account of the hope of Israel* that I wear these chains.”e 21 They answered him, “We have received no letters from Judea about you, nor has any of the brothers arrived with a damaging report or rumor about you. 22 But we should like to hear you present your views, for we know that this sect is denounced everywhere.”f
Evangile English	18 * Then he said, “What is the kingdom of God like? To what can I compare it? 19 It is like a mustard seed that a person took and planted in the garden. When it was fully grown, it became a large bush and ‘the birds of the sky dwelt in its branches.’”h The Parable of the Yeast.i 20 Again he said, “To what shall I compare the kingdom of God? 21 It is like yeast that a woman took and mixed [in] with three measures of wheat flour until the whole batch of dough was leavened.”
