Lecture Arabic	7 أَيُّهَا الأَحِبَّاء، فَلْنُحِبَّ بَعْضُنَا بَعْضًا، لأَنَّ الـمَحَبَّةَ مِنَ الله. وكُلُّ مَنْ يُحِبُّ هُوَ مَولُودٌ مِنَ الله، ويَعْرِفُ الله. 8 ومَنْ لا يُحِبُّ لَم يَعْرِفِ الله، لأَنَّ اللهَ مَحَبَّة. 9 وبهـذَا ظَهَرَتْ محبَّةُ اللهِ لنَا، أَنَّ اللهَ أَرسَلَ ابْنَهُ الوَحِيدَ إِلى العَالَم، لِنَحْيَا بِهِ. 10 بهـذَا تَكُونُ الـمَحَبَّة، لا بِأَنَّنَا نَحْنُ أَحْبَبْنَا الله، بَل بِأَنَّ اللهَ نَفْسَهُ أَحَبَّنَا، وأَرسَلَ ابْنَهُ كَفَّارَةً لِخَطَايانَا. 11 أَيُّهَا الأَحِبَّاء، إذَا كَانَ اللهُ قَد أَحَبَّنَا هـكذَا، فَعلَيْنَا نَحْنُ أَيْضًا أَنْ نُحِبَّ بَعضُنَا بَعضًا. 12 أَللهُ ما رآهُ أَحَد. إِنْ كُنَّا نُحِبُّ بَعضُنَا بَعْضًا فَاللهُ يُقِيمُ فِينَا، وتَكُونُ مَحَبَّتُهُ فِينَا كَامِلَة. 13 بهـذَا نَعْرِفُ أَنَّنَا نَثْبُتُ فِيهِ وهُوَ فِينَا، بِأَنَّهُ أَعْطَانَا مِنْ رُوحِهِ. 14 ونَحْنُ رأَيْنَا، ونَشْهَدُ أَنَّ الآبَ أَرْسَلَ الابْنَ مُخَلِّصًا لِلعَالَم. 15 فمَنْ يَعْتَرِفُ أَنَّ يَسُوعَ هُوَ ابْنُ اللهِ يُقِيمُ اللهُ فِيه، وهُوَ في الله. 16 ونَحْنُ عَرَفْنَا مَحَبَّةَ اللهِ لنَا، وآمَنَّا بِهَا. أَللهُ مَحَبَّة، ومَنْ يَثْبُتُ في الْمَحَبَّةِ يَثْبُتُ في الله، واللهُ يَثْبُتُ فِيه. 17 بِهـذَا تَكْتَمِلُ الـمَحَبَّةُ فينَا، بِأَنْ تَكُونَ لنَا ثِقَةٌ أَمَامَهُ يَوْمَ الدَّيْنُونَة، لأَنَّهُ كَمَا كَانَ الـمَسِيح، كَذـلِكَ نَكُونُ نَحْنُ في هـذَا العَالَم. 18 لا خَوفَ في الـمَحَبَّة، بلِ الْمَحَبَّةُ الكامِلَةُ تَنْفِي الـخَوْف، لأَنَّ الـخَوْفَ يَأْتِي مِنَ العِقَاب، ومَنْ يَخَافُ لا يَكُونُ كامِلاً في الـمَحَبَّة. 19 ونَحْنُ، فَلْنُحِبَّ الله، لأَنَّهُ هُوَ أَحَبَّنَا أَولاً. 20 إِذَا قَالَ أَحَد: "إِنِّي أُحِبُّ الله"، وهُوَ يُبْغِضُ أَخَاه، كَانَ كَاذِبًا، لأَنَّ الَّذي لا يُحِبُّ أَخاهُ وهُوَ يَرَاهُ لا يَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ يُحِبَّ اللهَ وهُوَ لا يَرَاه. 21 ولنَا مِنْهُ هـذِهِ الوَصِيَّة، أَنَّ مَنْ يُحِبُّ اللهَ يُحِبُّ أَيْضًا أَخَاه!
Evangile Arabic	8 أَوْ أَيُّ امْرَأَةٍ لَهَا عَشَرَةُ دَرَاهِم، إِذَا أَضَاعَتْ دِرْهَمًا وَاحِدًا، لا تَشْعَلُ مِصْبَاحًا، وَتُكَنِّسُ البَيْت، وَتُفَتِّشُ عَنْهُ بِاهْتِمَامٍ حَتَّى تَجِدَهُ؟ 9 فَإِذَا وَجَدَتْهُ تَدْعُو الصَّدِيقَاتِ وَالـجَارَات، وَتَقُولُ لَهُنَّ: إِفْرَحْنَ مَعِي، لأَنِّي وَجَدْتُ الدِّرْهَمَ الَّذي أَضَعْتُهُ! 10 هـكَذَا، أَقُولُ لَكُم، يَكُونُ فَرَحٌ أَمَامَ مَلائِكَةِ اللهِ بِخَاطِئٍ وَاحِدٍ يَتُوب!".

Lecture French	07 Bien-aimés, aimons-nous les uns les autres, puisque l’amour vient de Dieu. Celui qui aime est né de Dieu et connaît Dieu. 08 Celui qui n’aime pas n’a pas connu Dieu, car Dieu est amour. 09 Voici comment l’amour de Dieu s’est manifesté parmi nous : Dieu a envoyé son Fils unique dans le monde pour que nous vivions par lui. 10 Voici en quoi consiste l’amour : ce n’est pas nous qui avons aimé Dieu, mais c’est lui qui nous a aimés, et il a envoyé son Fils en sacrifice de pardon pour nos péchés. 11 Bien-aimés, puisque Dieu nous a tellement aimés, nous devons, nous aussi, nous aimer les uns les autres. 12 Dieu, personne ne l’a jamais vu. Mais si nous nous aimons les uns les autres, Dieu demeure en nous, et, en nous, son amour atteint la perfection. 13 Voici comment nous reconnaissons que nous demeurons en lui et lui en nous : il nous a donné part à son Esprit. 14 Quant à nous, nous avons vu et nous attestons que le Père a envoyé son Fils comme Sauveur du monde. 15 Celui qui proclame que Jésus est le Fils de Dieu, Dieu demeure en lui, et lui en Dieu. 16 Et nous, nous avons reconnu l’amour que Dieu a pour nous, et nous y avons cru. Dieu est amour : qui demeure dans l’amour demeure en Dieu, et Dieu demeure en lui. 17 Voici comment l’amour atteint, chez nous, sa perfection : avoir de l’assurance au jour du jugement ; comme Jésus, en effet, nous ne manquons pas d’assurance en ce monde. 18 Il n’y a pas de crainte dans l’amour, l’amour parfait bannit la crainte ; car la crainte implique un châtiment, et celui qui reste dans la crainte n’a pas atteint la perfection de l’amour. 19 Quant à nous, nous aimons parce que Dieu lui-même nous a aimés le premier. 20 Si quelqu’un dit : « J’aime Dieu », alors qu’il a de la haine contre son frère, c’est un menteur. En effet, celui qui n’aime pas son frère, qu’il voit, est incapable d’aimer Dieu, qu’il ne voit pas. 21 Et voici le commandement que nous tenons de lui : celui qui aime Dieu, qu’il aime aussi son frère.
Evangile French	08 Ou encore, si une femme a dix pièces d’argent et qu’elle en perd une, ne va-t-elle pas allumer une lampe, balayer la maison, et chercher avec soin jusqu’à ce qu’elle la retrouve ? 09 Quand elle l’a retrouvée, elle rassemble ses amies et ses voisines pour leur dire : “Réjouissez-vous avec moi, car j’ai retrouvé la pièce d’argent que j’avais perdue !” 10 Ainsi je vous le dis : Il y a de la joie devant les anges de Dieu pour un seul pécheur qui se convertit. »

Lecture English	7 * Beloved, let us love one another, because love is of God; everyone who loves is begotten by God and knows God. 8 Whoever is without love does not know God, for God is love. 9 In this way the love of God was revealed to us: God sent his only Son into the world so that we might have life through him.f 10 In this is love: not that we have loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as expiation for our sins.g 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also must love one another. 12 No one has ever seen God. Yet, if we love one another, God remains in us, and his love is brought to perfection in us.h 13 * This is how we know that we remain in him and he in us, that he has given us of his Spirit. 14 Moreover, we have seen and testify that the Father sent his Son as savior of the world. 15 Whoever acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God remains in him and he in God. 16 We have come to know and to believe in the love God has for us. God is love, and whoever remains in love remains in God and God in him. 17 In this is love brought to perfection among us, that we have confidence on the day of judgment because as he is, so are we in this world.i 18 There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear because fear has to do with punishment, and so one who fears is not yet perfect in love. 19 We love because he first loved us. 20 If anyone says, “I love God,” but hates his brother, he is a liar; for whoever does not love a brother whom he has seen cannot love God* whom he has not seen.j 21 This is the commandment we have from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother.k
Evangile English	8 “Or what woman having ten coins* and losing one would not light a lamp and sweep the house, searching carefully until she finds it? 9 And when she does find it, she calls together her friends and neighbors and says to them, ‘Rejoice with me because I have found the coin that I lost.’ 10 In just the same way, I tell you, there will be rejoicing among the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”
