Lecture Arabic	1 كُلُّ مَنْ يُؤْمِنُ أَنَّ يَسُوعَ هُوَ الـمَسِيحُ يَكُونُ مَوْلُودًا مِنَ الله، وكُلُّ مَنْ يُحِبُّ الوَالِدَ يُحِبُّ الـمَوْلُودَ مِنْهُ أَيضًا. 2 وبهـذَا نَعْرِفُ أَنَّنا نُحِبُّ أَولادَ الله، إِذَا كُنَّا نُحِبُّ اللهَ ونَعْمَلُ بِوَصَايَاه. 3 فهـذِهِ هِيَ مَحَبَّةُ الله، أَنْ نَحْفَظَ وَصَايَاه، ووَصَايَاهُ لَيْسَتْ بِثَقِيلَة؛ 4 لأَنَّ كُلَّ مَولُودٍ مِنَ اللهِ يَغْلِبُ العَالَم. والغَلَبَةُ الَّتي تَغْلِبُ العَالَمَ إِنَّمَا هِيَ إِيْمَانُنا. 5 ومَنِ الَّذي يَغْلِبُ العَالَمَ إِلاَّ الَّذي يُؤْمِنُ أَنَّ يَسُوعَ هُوَ ابْنُ الله؟ 6 هـذَا هُوَ الَّذي أَتَى بِالـمَاءِ والدَّم، إِنَّهُ يَسُوعُ الْمَسِيح، لا بِالْمَاءِ فَحَسْب، بَلْ بِالْمَاءِ والدَّمِ أَيْضًا. والرُّوحُ هُوَ الَّذي يَشْهَد، لأَنَّ الرُّوحَ هُوَ الـحَقّ. 7 والَّذِينَ يَشْهَدُونَ في السَّمَاءِ ثلاثَة: الآبُ والكَلِمَةُ والرُّوحُ القُدُس، وهـؤُلاءِ الثَّلاثَةُ هُم وَاحِد. 8 والَّذِينَ يَشْهَدُونَ في الأَرْضِ ثَلاثَة: أَلرُّوحُ والـمَاءُ والدَّم، وهـؤُلاء الثَّلاثَةُ هُم في وَاحِد. 9 إِنْ كُنَّا نَقْبَلُ شَهَادَةَ النَّاس، فشَهَادَةُ اللهِ أَعْظَم، وهـذِهِ هِيَ شَهَادةُ الله، أَنَّهُ شَهِدَ لابنِهِ. 10 مَنْ يُؤْمِنُ بِابْنِ اللهِ فَلَهُ في نَفْسِهِ تِلْكَ الشَّهَادَة. ومَنْ لا يُؤْمِنُ بِاللهِ فقَدْ جَعَلَ اللهَ كاذِبًا، لأَنَّهُ لَمْ يُؤْمِنْ بِالشَّهَادَةِ الَّتي شَهِدَهَا اللهُ لابنِهِ. 11 وهـذِهِ هِيَ الشَّهَادَة، أَنَّ اللهَ أَعْطَانَا الـحَيَاةَ الأَبَدِيَّة، وهـذِهِ الـحَيَاةُ هِيَ في ابْنِهِ. 12 مَنْ لَهُ الابنُ لَهُ الـحَيَاة. ومَنْ ليسَ لَهُ ابْنُ اللهِ لَيْسَتْ لَهُ الـحَيَاة.
Evangile Arabic	1 وقَالَ أَيْضًا لِتَلامِيذِهِ: "كانَ رَجُلٌ غَنِيٌّ لَهُ وَكِيل. فَوُشِيَ بِهِ إِلَيْهِ أَنَّهُ يُبَدِّدُ مُقْتَنَيَاتِهِ. 2 فَدَعَاهُ وَقَالَ لَهُ: مَا هـذَا الَّذي أَسْمَعُهُ عَنْكَ؟ أَدِّ حِسَابَ وِكَالَتِكَ، فَلا يُمْكِنُكَ بَعْدَ اليَوْمِ أَنْ تَكُونَ وَكِيلاً. 3 فَقَالَ الوَكِيلُ في نَفْسِهِ: مَاذَا أَفْعَل؟ لأَنَّ سَيِّدي يَنْزِعُ عَنِّي الوِكَالة، وأَنَا لا أَقْوَى عَلَى الفِلاَحَة، وَأَخْجَلُ أَنْ أَسْتَعْطي! 4 قَدْ عَرَفْتُ مَاذَا أَفْعَل، حَتَّى إِذَا عُزِلْتُ مِنَ الوِكَالَةِ يَقْبَلُنِي النَّاسُ في بُيُوتِهِم. 5 فَدَعَا مَدْيُونِي سَيِّدِهِ واحِدًا فَوَاحِدًا وَقَالَ لِلأَوَّل: كَمْ عَلَيْكَ لِسَيِّدي؟ 6 فَقَال: مِئَةُ بَرْمِيلٍ مِنَ الزَّيْت. قَالَ لَهُ الوَكيل: إِلَيْكَ صَكَّكَ! إِجْلِسْ حَالاً واكْتُبْ: خَمْسِين. 7 ثُمَّ قَالَ لآخَر: وَأَنْتَ، كَمْ عَلَيْك؟ فَقَال: مِئَةُ كِيسٍ مِنَ القَمْح. فَقالَ لَهُ الوَكيل: إِلَيْكَ صَكَّكَ! واكْتُبْ: ثَمَانِين. 8 فَمَدَحَ السَّيِّدُ الوَكِيلَ الـخَائِن، لأَنَّهُ تَصَرَّفَ بِحِكْمَة. فَإِنَّ أَبْنَاءَ هـذَا الدَّهْرِ أَكْثَرُ حِكْمَةً مِنْ أَبْنَاءِ النُّورِ في تَعَامُلِهِم مَعَ جِيلِهِم.

Lecture French	01 Celui qui croit que Jésus est le Christ, celui-là est né de Dieu ; celui qui aime le Père qui a engendré aime aussi le Fils qui est né de lui. 02 Voici comment nous reconnaissons que nous aimons les enfants de Dieu : lorsque nous aimons Dieu et que nous accomplissons ses commandements. 03 Car tel est l’amour de Dieu : garder ses commandements ; et ses commandements ne sont pas un fardeau, 04 puisque tout être qui est né de Dieu est vainqueur du monde. Or la victoire remportée sur le monde, c’est notre foi. 05 Qui donc est vainqueur du monde ? N’est-ce pas celui qui croit que Jésus est le Fils de Dieu ? 06 C’est lui, Jésus Christ, qui est venu par l’eau et par le sang : non pas seulement avec l’eau, mais avec l’eau et avec le sang. Et celui qui rend témoignage, c’est l’Esprit, car l’Esprit est la vérité. 07 En effet, ils sont trois qui rendent témoignage, 08 l’Esprit, l’eau et le sang, et les trois n’en font qu’un. 09 Nous acceptons bien le témoignage des hommes ; or, le témoignage de Dieu a plus de valeur, puisque le témoignage de Dieu, c’est celui qu’il rend à son Fils. 10 Celui qui met sa foi dans le Fils de Dieu possède en lui-même ce témoignage. Celui qui ne croit pas Dieu, celui-là fait de Dieu un menteur, puisqu’il n’a pas mis sa foi dans le témoignage que Dieu rend à son Fils. 11 Et ce témoignage, le voici : Dieu nous a donné la vie éternelle, et cette vie est dans son Fils. 12 Celui qui a le Fils possède la vie ; celui qui n’a pas le Fils de Dieu ne possède pas la vie.
Evangile French	01 Jésus disait encore aux disciples : « Un homme riche avait un gérant qui lui fut dénoncé comme dilapidant ses biens. 02 Il le convoqua et lui dit : “Qu’est-ce que j’apprends à ton sujet ? Rends-moi les comptes de ta gestion, car tu ne peux plus être mon gérant.” 03 Le gérant se dit en lui-même : “Que vais-je faire, puisque mon maître me retire la gestion ? Travailler la terre ? Je n’en ai pas la force. Mendier ? J’aurais honte. 04 Je sais ce que je vais faire, pour qu’une fois renvoyé de ma gérance, des gens m’accueillent chez eux.” 05 Il fit alors venir, un par un, ceux qui avaient des dettes envers son maître. Il demanda au premier : “Combien dois-tu à mon maître ?” 06 Il répondit : “Cent barils d’huile.” Le gérant lui dit : “Voici ton reçu ; vite, assieds-toi et écris cinquante.” 07 Puis il demanda à un autre : “Et toi, combien dois-tu ?” Il répondit : “Cent sacs de blé.” Le gérant lui dit : “Voici ton reçu, écris quatre-vingts.” 08 Le maître fit l’éloge de ce gérant malhonnête car il avait agi avec habileté ; en effet, les fils de ce monde sont plus habiles entre eux que les fils de la lumière.

Lecture English	1 * Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is begotten by God, and everyone who loves the father loves [also] the one begotten by him.a 2 In this way we know that we love the children of God when we love God and obey his commandments. 3 For the love of God is this, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome,b 4 for whoever is begotten by God conquers the world. And the victory that conquers the world is our faith.c 5 Who [indeed] is the victor over the world but the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?d 6 This is the one who came through water and blood,* Jesus Christ, not by water alone, but by water and blood. The Spirit is the one that testifies, and the Spirit is truth.e 7 So there are three that testify, 8 the Spirit, the water, and the blood, and the three are of one accord.f 9 If we accept human testimony, the testimony of God is surely greater. Now the testimony of God is this, that he has testified on behalf of his Son.g 10 Whoever believes in the Son of God has this testimony within himself. Whoever does not believe God has made him a liar by not believing the testimony God has given about his Son.h 11 And this is the testimony: God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.i 12 Whoever possesses the Son has life; whoever does not possess the Son of God does not have life.
Evangile English	1 Then he also said to his disciples, “A rich man had a steward who was reported to him for squandering his property. 2 He summoned him and said, ‘What is this I hear about you? Prepare a full account of your stewardship, because you can no longer be my steward.’ 3 The steward said to himself, ‘What shall I do, now that my master is taking the position of steward away from me? I am not strong enough to dig and I am ashamed to beg. 4 I know what I shall do so that, when I am removed from the stewardship, they may welcome me into their homes.’ 5 He called in his master’s debtors one by one. To the first he said, ‘How much do you owe my master?’ 6 * He replied, ‘One hundred measures of olive oil.’ He said to him, ‘Here is your promissory note. Sit down and quickly write one for fifty.’ 7 Then to another he said, ‘And you, how much do you owe?’ He replied, ‘One hundred kors* of wheat.’ He said to him, ‘Here is your promissory note; write one for eighty.’ 8 And the master commended that dishonest steward for acting prudently.
