Lecture Arabic	19 إِعْلَمُوا، يَا إِخْوَتِي الأَحِبَّاء: فَلْيَكُنْ كُلُّ إِنْسَانٍ سَرِيعًا إِلى السَّمَاع، بَطِيْئًا إِلى الكَلام، بَطِيئًا إِلى الغَضَب؛ 20 لأَنَّ غَضَبَ الرَّجُلِ لا يَعْمَلُ بِبِرِّ الله. 21 لِذـلِكَ أَلْقُوا عَنْكُم كُلَّ نَجَاسَة، وكُلَّ طُغْيَانِ شَرّ، واقْبَلُوا بِوَدَاعَةٍ الكَلِمَةَ الـمَغْرُوسَةَ فيكُم، والقَادِرَةَ أَنْ تُخَلِّصَ نُفُوسَكُم. 22 كُونُوا عَامِلِينَ بالكَلِمَة، لا سَامِعِينَ فَحَسْب، وإِلاَّ كُنْتُم تَغُشُّونَ أَنْفُسَكُم؛ 23 لأَنَّ مَنْ يَسْمَعُ الكَلِمَة، ولا يَعْمَلُ بِهَا، يُشْبِهُ رَجُلاً يَنْظُرُ صُورَةَ وَجْهِهِ في مِرْآة: 24 ومَا إِنْ رَأَى نَفْسَهُ ومَضى، حَتَّى نَسِيَ في الـحَالِ كَيْفَ كَان. 25 أَمَّا الَّذي أَكَبَّ عَلى الشَّرِيعَةِ الكَامِلَة، شَرِيعَةِ الْحُرِّيَّة، وداوَمَ عَلَيْهَا، لا شَأْنَ مَنْ يَسْمَعُ ويَنْسَى، بَلْ شَأْنَ مَنْ يَعْمَل، فهـذَا يَكُونُ سَعِيدًا في عَمَلِهِ. 26 مَنْ يَظُنُّ أَنَّهُ مُتَدَيِّن، وهُوَ لا يَلْجُمُ لِسَانَهُ، بَلْ يَخْدَعُ قَلْبَهُ، فإِنَّ تَدَيُّنَهُ بَاطِل. 27 إِنَّ التَّدَيُّنَ الطَّاهِرَ النَّقِيَّ عِنْدَ اللهِ الآبِ هُوَ هـذَا: إِفْتِقَادُ اليَتَامَى والأَرامِلِ في ضِيقِهِم، وصَوْنُ النَّفْسِ بلا وَصْمَةٍ مِنَ العَالَم.
Evangile Arabic	20 وَسَأَلَ الفَرِّيسيُّونَ يَسُوع: "مَتَى يَأْتِي مَلَكُوتُ الله؟". فَأَجَابَهُم وَقَال: "مَلكُوتُ اللهِ لا يَأْتِي بِالـمُرَاقَبَة. 21 وَلَنْ يُقال: هَا هُوَ هُنا، أَوْ هُنَاك! فَهَا إِنَّ مَلَكُوتَ اللهِ في دَاخِلِكُم!". 22 وقَالَ لِلْتَلامِيذ: "سَتَأْتِي أَيَّامٌ تَشْتَهُونَ فِيها أَنْ تَرَوا يَوْمًا وَاحِدًا مِنْ أَيَّامِ ابْنِ الإِنْسَان، وَلَنْ تَرَوا. 23 وَسَيُقالُ لَكُم: هَا هُوَ هُنَاك! هَا هُوَ هُنَا! فَلا تَذْهَبُوا، وَلا تَهْرَعُوا. 24 فَكَمَا يُومِضُ البَرْقُ في أُفُق، وَيَلْمَعُ في آخَر، هـكذَا يَكُونُ ابْنُ الإِنْسَانِ في يَوْمِ مَجِيئِهِ. 25 وَلـكِنْ لا بُدَّ لَهُ أَوَّلاً مِنْ أَنْ يَتَأَلَّمَ كَثِيرًا، وَيَرْذُلَهُ هـذَا الـجِيل!

Lecture French	19 Sachez-le, mes frères bien-aimés : chacun doit être prompt à écouter, lent à parler, lent à la colère, 20 car la colère de l’homme ne réalise pas ce qui est juste selon Dieu. 21 C’est pourquoi, ayant rejeté tout ce qui est sordide et tout débordement de méchanceté, accueillez dans la douceur la Parole semée en vous ; c’est elle qui peut sauver vos âmes. 22 Mettez la Parole en pratique, ne vous contentez pas de l’écouter : ce serait vous faire illusion. 23 Car si quelqu’un écoute la Parole sans la mettre en pratique, il est comparable à un homme qui observe dans un miroir son visage tel qu’il est, 24 et qui, aussitôt après, s’en va en oubliant comment il était. 25 Au contraire, celui qui se penche sur la loi parfaite, celle de la liberté, et qui s’y tient, lui qui l’écoute non pour l’oublier, mais pour la mettre en pratique dans ses actes, celui-là sera heureux d’agir ainsi. 26 Si l’on pense être quelqu’un de religieux sans mettre un frein à sa langue, on se trompe soi-même, une telle religion est sans valeur. 27 Devant Dieu notre Père, un comportement religieux pur et sans souillure, c’est de visiter les orphelins et les veuves dans leur détresse, et de se garder sans tache au milieu du monde.
Evangile French	20 Comme les pharisiens demandaient à Jésus quand viendrait le règne de Dieu, il prit la parole et dit : « La venue du règne de Dieu n’est pas observable. 21 On ne dira pas : “Voilà, il est ici !” ou bien : “Il est là !” En effet, voici que le règne de Dieu est au milieu de vous. » 22 Puis il dit aux disciples : « Des jours viendront où vous désirerez voir un seul des jours du Fils de l’homme, et vous ne le verrez pas. 23 On vous dira : “Voilà, il est là-bas !” ou bien : “Voici, il est ici !” N’y allez pas, n’y courez pas. 24 En effet, comme l’éclair qui jaillit illumine l’horizon d’un bout à l’autre, ainsi le Fils de l’homme, quand son jour sera là. 25 Mais auparavant, il faut qu’il souffre beaucoup et qu’il soit rejeté par cette génération.

Lecture English	19 Know this, my dear brothers: everyone should be quick to hear,* slow to speak, slow to wrath,j 20 for the wrath of a man does not accomplish the righteousness of God.k 21 Therefore, put away all filth and evil excess and humbly welcome the word that has been planted in you and is able to save your souls.l 22 Be doers of the word and not hearers only, deluding yourselves.m 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his own face in a mirror. 24 He sees himself, then goes off and promptly forgets what he looked like. 25 But the one who peers into the perfect law* of freedom and perseveres, and is not a hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, such a one shall be blessed in what he does.n 26 * If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue* but deceives his heart, his religion is vain.o 27 Religion that is pure and undefiled before God and the Father is this: to care for orphans and widows* in their affliction and to keep oneself unstained by the world.p
Evangile English	20 * Asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, he said in reply, “The coming of the kingdom of God cannot be observed,i 21 * and no one will announce, ‘Look, here it is,’ or, ‘There it is.’j For behold, the kingdom of God is among you.” The Day of the Son of Man. 22 Then he said to his disciples, “The days will come when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of Man, but you will not see it. 23 There will be those who will say to you, ‘Look, there he is,’ [or] ‘Look, here he is.’ Do not go off, do not run in pursuit.k 24 For just as lightning flashes and lights up the sky from one side to the other, so will the Son of Man be [in his day].l 25 But first he must suffer greatly and be rejected by this generation.m
