Lecture Arabic	18 وإِنِّي أَحْسَبُ أَنَّ آلامَ الوَقْتِ الـحَاضِرِ لا تُوَازِي الـمَجْدَ الَّذي سَوْفَ يتَجَلَّى فينَا. 19 فإِنَّ الـخَليقَةَ تَنْتَظِرُ بِفَارِغِ الصَّبْرِ تَجَلِّيَ أَبْنَاءِ الله؛ 20 لأَنَّ الـخَليقَةَ أُخْضِعَتْ لِلبَاطِل، لا طَوْعًا، بَل "بِسُلْطَانِ اللهِ الَّذي أَخْضَعَهَا"، ولـكِنْ عَلى رَجَاءِ 21 أَنَّ الـخَليقَةَ نَفْسَهَا سَتُحَرَّرُ هيَ أَيْضًا مِنْ عُبُودِيَّةِ الفَسَادِ إِلى حُرِّيَةِ مَجْدِ أَوْلادِ الله. 22 ونَحْنُ نَعْلَمُ أَنَّ الـخَليقَةَ كُلَّهَا مَعًا تَئِنُّ وتَتَمَخَّضُ إِلى الآن. 23 ولـكِنْ لا هيَ فَحَسْب، بَلْ نَحْنُ أَيْضًا الَّذينَ لَنَا بَاكُورَةُ الرُّوح، نَحْنُ أَيْضًا نَئِنُّ في أَنْفُسِنَا، مُنْتَظِرِينَ التَّبَنِّيَ أَيْ فِدَاءَ جَسَدِنَا. 24 فإِنَّنَا بِالرَّجَاءِ خُلِّصْنَا. والرَّجَاءُ الَّذي يُرَى لَيْسَ رَجَاء. فهَلْ يَرْجُو أَحَدٌ مَا يَرَاه؟ 25 أَمَّا إِذَا كُنَّا نَرْجُو مَا لا نَرَاه، فَبِالصَّبْرِ نَنْتَظِرُهُ. 26 وهـكَذَا فَالرُّوحُ نَفْسُهُ يَعْضُدُنَا في ضُعْفِنَا، لأَنَّنَا لا نَعْرِفُ أَنْ نُصَلِّيَ كَمَا يَنْبَغِي، لـكِنَّ الرُّوحَ نَفْسَهُ يَشْفَعُ لَنَا بِأَنَّاتٍ لا تُوصَف. 27 والَّذي يَفَحَصُ القُلُوبَ يَعْرِفُ رَغْبَةَ الرُّوح، وهيَ أَنَّهُ يَشْفَعُ لِلقِدِّيسِينَ بِمَا يُوَافِقُ مَشِيئَةَ الله.
Evangile Arabic	9 وقالَ أَيْضًا هـذَا الـمَثَلَ لأُنَاسٍ يَثِقُونَ في أَنْفُسِهِم أَنَّهُم أَبْرَار، وَيَحْتَقِرُونَ الآخَرين: 10 "رَجُلانِ صَعِدَا إِلى الـهَيْكَلِ لِيُصَلِّيَا، أَحَدُهُما فَرِّيسيٌّ وَالآخَرُ عَشَّار. 11 فَوَقَفَ الفَرِّيسِيُّ يُصَلِّي في نَفْسِهِ وَيَقُول: أَللّـهُمَّ، أَشْكُرُكَ لأَنِّي لَسْتُ كَبَاقِي النَّاسِ الطَّمَّاعِينَ الظَّالِمِينَ الزُّنَاة، وَلا كَهـذَا العَشَّار. 12 إِنِّي أَصُومُ مَرَّتَينِ في الأُسْبُوع، وَأُؤَدِّي العُشْرَ عَنْ كُلِّ مَا أَقْتَنِي. 13 أَمَّا العَشَّارُ فَوَقَفَ بَعِيدًا وَهُوَ لا يُرِيدُ حَتَّى أَنْ يَرْفَعَ عَيْنَيْهِ إِلى السَّمَاء، بَلْ كانَ يَقْرَعُ صَدْرَهُ قَائِلاً: أَللّـهُمَّ، إِصْفَحْ عَنِّي أَنَا الـخَاطِئ! 14 أَقُولُ لَكُم إِنَّ هـذَا نَزَلَ إِلَى بَيْتِهِ مُبَرَّرًا، أَمَّا ذاكَ فَلا! لأَنَّ كُلَّ مَنْ يَرْفَعُ نَفْسَهُ يُوَاضَع، وَمَنْ يُواضِعُ نَفْسَهُ يُرْفَع".

Lecture French	18 J’estime, en effet, qu’il n’y a pas de commune mesure entre les souffrances du temps présent et la gloire qui va être révélée pour nous. 19 En effet, la création attend avec impatience la révélation des fils de Dieu. 20 Car la création a été soumise au pouvoir du néant, non pas de son plein gré, mais à cause de celui qui l’a livrée à ce pouvoir. Pourtant, elle a gardé l’espérance 21 d’être, elle aussi, libérée de l’esclavage de la dégradation, pour connaître la liberté de la gloire donnée aux enfants de Dieu. 22 Nous le savons bien, la création tout entière gémit, elle passe par les douleurs d’un enfantement qui dure encore. 23 Et elle n’est pas seule. Nous aussi, en nous-mêmes, nous gémissons ; nous avons commencé à recevoir l’Esprit Saint, mais nous attendons notre adoption et la rédemption de notre corps. 24 Car nous avons été sauvés, mais c’est en espérance ; voir ce qu’on espère, ce n’est plus espérer : ce que l’on voit, comment peut-on l’espérer encore ? 25 Mais nous, qui espérons ce que nous ne voyons pas, nous l’attendons avec persévérance. 26 Bien plus, l’Esprit Saint vient au secours de notre faiblesse, car nous ne savons pas prier comme il faut. L’Esprit lui-même intercède pour nous par des gémissements inexprimables. 27 Et Dieu, qui scrute les cœurs, connaît les intentions de l’Esprit puisque c’est selon Dieu que l’Esprit intercède pour les fidèles.
Evangile French	09 À l’adresse de certains qui étaient convaincus d’être justes et qui méprisaient les autres, Jésus dit la parabole que voici : 10 « Deux hommes montèrent au Temple pour prier. L’un était pharisien, et l’autre, publicain (c’est-à-dire un collecteur d’impôts). 11 Le pharisien se tenait debout et priait en lui-même : “Mon Dieu, je te rends grâce parce que je ne suis pas comme les autres hommes – ils sont voleurs, injustes, adultères –, ou encore comme ce publicain. 12 Je jeûne deux fois par semaine et je verse le dixième de tout ce que je gagne.” 13 Le publicain, lui, se tenait à distance et n’osait même pas lever les yeux vers le ciel ; mais il se frappait la poitrine, en disant : “Mon Dieu, montre-toi favorable au pécheur que je suis !” 14 Je vous le déclare : quand ce dernier redescendit dans sa maison, c’est lui qui était devenu un homme juste, plutôt que l’autre. Qui s’élève sera abaissé ; qui s’abaisse sera élevé. »

Lecture English	18 I consider that the sufferings of this present time are as nothing compared with the glory to be revealed for us.n 19 For creation awaits with eager expectation the revelation of the children of God; 20 for creation was made subject to futility, not of its own accord but because of the one who subjected it,o in hope 21 that creation itself would be set free from slavery to corruption and share in the glorious freedom of the children of God.p 22 We know that all creation is groaning in labor pains even until now;q 23 and not only that, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, we also groan within ourselves as we wait for adoption, the redemption of our bodies.r 24 For in hope we were saved. Now hope that sees for itself is not hope. For who hopes for what one sees?s 25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait with endurance. 26 In the same way, the Spirit too comes to the aid of our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but the Spirit itself intercedes with inexpressible groanings. 27 And the one who searches hearts knows what is the intention of the Spirit, because it intercedes for the holy ones according to God’s will.t
Evangile English	9 He then addressed this parable to those who were convinced of their own righteousness and despised everyone else.c 10 “Two people went up to the temple area to pray; one was a Pharisee and the other was a tax collector. 11 The Pharisee took up his position and spoke this prayer to himself, ‘O God, I thank you that I am not like the rest of humanity—greedy, dishonest, adulterous—or even like this tax collector. 12 I fast twice a week, and I pay tithes on my whole income.’d 13 But the tax collector stood off at a distance and would not even raise his eyes to heaven but beat his breast and prayed, ‘O God, be merciful to me a sinner.’e 14 I tell you, the latter went home justified, not the former; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and the one who humbles himself will be exalted.”f
